Jodi Arias Trial Part 5, starting with Violet STILLLLL rambling April 4

I was reading that motion Jodi filed to be charged with second degree murder instad of going to trial.

In addition to the facts listed above Ms. Arias also pointed out to the state that in; State vs Bailey White and State vs Dwight Wesely Ms. White stabbed her boyfriend once in the chest during an argument, she was charged with second degree murder and was offered a plea to manslaughter as a dangerous offense and was sentenced to 12 years. Mr. Wesley stabs his wife several times and drives her body to the Phoenix Police Department and he gets charged with second degree murder and it appears that he plead to the court. Certainly these cases are not identical to the facts that surround this case to be fair some are more favorable to Ms. Arias and some are less favorable, however, these cases are similar in many ways and are illustrative of the sort of outcome that should come out of this case.

How can Jodi's case be more favorable than those cases? The man obviously either had remorse or was okay with taking responsbility for killing his wife because he took her to the police station, where he was arrested and admitted to the killing. http://www.wltx.com/news/article/86906/0/Arizona-Man-Dwight-Wesley-Brings-Dead-Wife-to-Police-

Baylee White stabbed her boyfriend ONCE...not 29 times. Does Nurmi really believe that because of these two examples, Jodi should get a lesser sentence? All she has done since day one is lie. Lie lie lie lie. And I think the lack of remorse is a huge thing. Real battered women may not regret what they've done, or have remorse, but they're also not sitting in interrogation saying "Oh I love him so much. I loved being around him. He was wonderful to me"

Suppose I better get ready for the day.

OK, so did I miss something on Dr. Drew last night????

Because there was not a lip reader in sight.

I am seriously wondering if Nurmi was watching the night before and made some kind of injunction to stop it.

I mean he didn't even mention her. :furious:

I was disappointed it wasnt on either but over on the FB page a lot were talking about how it wasnt a good idea due to something about either attorney/client privacy or another excuse for a mistrial.

Thats must be it then.

HLN didn't want any responsibility for that to happen.

I don't have FB so thanks for the info.

I LOVE Japan in Epcot!!! Eating and shopping at Mitsukoshi is awesome! I have been to Epcot (and Disney World) more times then I can count and Japan in Epcot is always a highlight for me. I hope to someday go to Japan for real, it's my dream trip! ;)

We love Epcot too! I told my daughter about your love of nerdy girls who love video games, anime and Japan (her dream trip also). She threw her hands up in the air and said "I'm his girl!" We burst into laughter because she is sooo that girl. (Hold on she's only 15):lmao: But I told her I'd ask if you'd wait.:rotfl2:

Gaaahh! Sure, she's so worried about TA's family and not her own neck. Creepy!:crazy2:

Its the mitigation specialist who sits behind the defense table. She earned her name by her loud hair, make-up, jewelry and clothes.

:rotfl2::lmao:

Good morning everyone! After reading about Donovan and her tweets, I can't feel any more disgusted. Can Juan bring this information into play?

Morning, everyone. My goodness, so much information in here since last night.

I'm going to be gone tomorrow so Happy Birthday, Thumper Man, hope you have a good one! :bday:

I also want to thank my wife again for the peanut butter cookies last night. :goodvibes :rotfl:

I predict a full day of the same testimony we've heard before, I don't think we'll hear anything new, but who knows what'll happen in this trial.

I'm not going to go back and find the posts in this thread, but usnuz that wasn't Nurmi in that picture. Here's another picture of that lunch with AL, BBB and Willmott at this link in the video: http://www.usatoday.com/videos/news/2013/04/11/2073277/

And shame on the jodiariasisinnocent site for posting a picture of the bodybag at the crime scene, disgusting, shame on them. :sad2:

Good morning, everyone!

Hopefully we'll get to the juror questions today - I'm read for 'em. It's pouring rain here, I'm bored, I'm ready to get the trial started.

Glad to see you got your PB cookies last night, Remus! :teeth: Didja save some for the rest of us? :bitelip:

LOL, I was surprised with the cookies after I'd eaten a good dinner so there's plenty left over for all of us. :goodvibes

Didn't you say or maybe someone else, trial is starting even later today?

10:30 Jodi time instead of 9:30 Jodi time today.

Hahahaha tonight I was telling my mom I'm fed up with my car (2008 Buick lacrosse) and think I'm going to buy a 2014 lacrosse. She looked at me and said "Brooke, are you a grandma? You're the oldest young person I've ever known! You'd think you were 60!".... But I corrected her and said I'm more like 90. :rotfl2: I suppose I'll try to buy a "young, hip" car and act cool.
I hated getting rid of my mom van...I loved all the room in the back for purchases and to bring stuff to the Salvation Army (to make room for purchases ;)). I had to get rid of my van suddenly and the only car we really knew anything about was the RAV4 because DD had bought one a few months before, so I went with it. Good thing I've got a lot of space in the back for my granddaughter's stuff. And it IS my cool car, but maybe my "cool" radar is off. :)
Ditto!
Oh no, Nancy Grace is saying the DT may have added a witness to authenticate the sex tape. No one is doubting the authenticity are they? WTH?!?
Strange. Jodi said she recorded it.
Well, well, well, this is a bombshell. Did she make it up? I wonder why they would want that in there? That would be a blow to her testimony.
Then the DT wouldn't be wanting the expert to testify that it was.
Amazing. If I were his family, I would want to hang her from the highest tree I could find and leave her there for the buzzards to pick her bones.
Absolutely.

There's a woman who's been on some of the HLN shows who was abused and is an advocate for abused women. She's a black woman...gorgeous with blond hair in cornrows, in case you've ever seen her. She said a while back, during Jodi's testimony, that the one thing Jodi wasn't saying, that abused woman DO say, is that they love their abuser. That Jodi was saying during her testimony that she really "liked" him. Wish I could remember her name. I think she was married to a famous athlete. (LOL Just thinking about how my DH has to try to decipher my half (or less) information.)
Pebbles is the 19th.
Happy Birthday T-Man (on Sunday)! And Happy Birthday Pebbles on the 19th!

Good morning to you and everyone! Another day, another headache from Violet's testimony.

My DH is so good around the house (at times cooking, cleaning, food shopping, taking care of the kids when they were little...if something needs to be done, he'll do it) that a former boss told me I'd have to marry two women to replace him. :teeth: He doesn't do cookies tho, which is probably a good thing.

If they get to jury questions today, it will be interesting to get an idea what the jurors are thinking.

Thanks Mare. :goodvibes (See I got the name right today.)
G'boy T-man! :thumbsup2

Good Morning All.
I watched EVERYONE yesterday from all the Trial right through to Vinnie's After Dark. All very good programs last night discussing everything.
The guest co host with Vinnie (and has been on with him allot) is David Otunga Jr. I like him allot. Did you all know he is singer, Jennifer Hudson's long time BF and I believe they are engaged.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY on the 14th, MIKE!!!! :cake:

Is it BCF's BIRTHDAY too??? :cake:

My DH is on the 19th. Allot of April bday's!!!! :cake:

I have been following the trial and these posts and have enjoyed your discussions, but I have to ask, who is the person you refer to as BBB?

Hahaha, we like to nickname everyone if you have not already noticed.

In Disneyland and DisneyWorld there is a little girl's SPA and every little girl visiting a Disney Park LOVES to go to this SPA and get all made up. The SPA is called Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Now this mitigation specialist has been coming to court from time to time all FLASHY with FLASHY earrings and outfits hence all of us naming her BBB!!!! :rotfl: (oh and btw, we all felt her attire was innappropriate for a high profile case as this.)

OK, so did I miss something on Dr. Drew last night???? Because there was not a lip reader in sight.

YA, what was UP with that …. DD mentioned it over and over again the night before. Gawd. Now DD is lying to US. :headache:

Did you all see this from THE STATE vs JA FB page.
"According to Chris Stark on Twitter, the barrage of cyber hate toward LaViolette was the subject of lengthy meetings in the judge's chambers on Monday. Apparently the stress sent the DV expert to the emergency room last weekend. She presented with anxiety and heart palpitations."
