ok ladies.... I NEED something under my dresses due to chafing. Usually I use biker shorts, but going to Disney for two weeks at the end of the month and planning to primarily wear dresses, I was going to buy another pair and found Skimmies. I have worn them today and they seem very comfy. How will they do in the heat and humidity of Florida?

I always wear Jockey Skimmies under dresses.
I've done it several times at WDW including during MNSSHP on September 1st of this year.
I've gotten my sister into wearing them to.
We think they are great.

My daughter and I both love them. We live in the heat and humidity of Florida and they work fine.

I looked on kohls.com and there are six different styles of Jockey Skimmies. Which style do you like, ladies?

Oh, and do you know zappos carries them? Free shipping!

I did order the kids version for DD, 9. She likes them, but they are more like cartwheel shorts and shorter than the adult version.

I bought my first pair last week after reading about them here on the DIS! They are super comfortable, but I haven't yet worn them in the Florida heat. I got the shorter version; while my dresses aren't mini dresses or anything, I wanted shorts that wouldn't peek out from under them.

Ooh I might have to look into these. I was raised wearing shorts under my dresses and skirts for modesty (let's face it, I'm not very ladylike), and feel "naked" without them.

I find that mine only goo mid thigh so they don't peak out.
My inner thighs have always been kinda a problem area so for me I think the shortest ones would ride up not covering my thighs.
Just something to think about if you have an inner thigh problem like me lol.

They are nice, but can ride up a little. Have you looked into bandlettes? I LOVE them!

I wore them with a poly-blend maxi dress a couple of weeks ago. I had to take them off in the car because I found that the skirt was clinging to them in a very awkward way. I wore them with a cotton dress and they were fine.

No judgement if they work for you but to me those look awful lol.
I could imagine tons of pulling up, pulling down, unrolling them...

What are bandlettes?

They totally don't roll or slip at all! I live in south Georgia where it is as hot and humid as Orlando (or worse) and I love them because they don't make you add an extra layer. I have no idea how they manage to not roll or slip, but they don't at all (& I don't have skinny thighs lol)! They are like little thigh band things. If you search them online they will pop up. I forget I'm even wearing them.

Ok maybe I'll give them a try because yeah it would be nice to not have to peel the extra layer off when my behind is sweaty lol.

I love skimmies! I am always wrooied about gusts of wind or bending in shorter dresses. I love the black ones because they aren't see through and are lightweight and comfy.

Some static guard will help prevent the clinging.
