Hotel du Canada

I put nothing past them, but EPCOT seems odd placement - already a large DVC lounge in "Future World" and how does it fit into the story? Canada itself seems odd - famous supporters of timeshares? -- if you were going to do something in EP maybe make it part of the existing DVC lounge or some of the unused space in the Imagination pavilion or heck there's a ton of unused space in Morocco if you really want to get after it and don't care about preserving theme. Wouldn't you want somewhere adjacent to where you could show a sample room or is that no longer important with videos? This one is so odd to me.

They have so many DVC kiosks that I would be surprised to see them use that large of a space for what they already have. Doesn't mean it won't happen, but I would be disappointed in them going with that option.
If you replace "DVC kiosks" with "bars", that's pretty much my sentiment.

Why are people so upset about speculation? Nothing has been officially announced yet. Let’s wait and see rather than fretting over possibly nothing.
These boards can a fun place to indulge in good-natured speculation (to me it's very clear it's all speculation and rumor) and discussion about our favorite place and favorite places within our favorite place.

Definitely,speculation-trying to figure out what is happening with a project-is part of the "fun" of being a HARDCORE WDW fanatic!

The thing that concerns me about the wdwmagic post is the specificity, but hopefullly the poster was given incorrect info by their source.

On the bright side, even if it is a DVC space,it will still bring some "energy" to an area of Canada that has been "dead" for 19 years since La Boutiques was closed!

I remember that they used to carry some Anne of Avonlea related things.

Looks like the "insiders" were right...unfortunately. Terrible use of this space.

Disney Vacation Club has announced what is coming - an in-park Welcome Home Center:

Coming this spring, the first in-park Welcome Home Center at Walt Disney World – Château de Voyage. Located in the Canada pavilion at EPCOT, this new space invites guests to explore Membership and visit a model room of Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. Stay tuned for more details!

I wouldn't get too excited...This is from someone on Wdw Magic. I would love a baseline type of place though.

"DVC in-park sales center where contracts can be signed, “first of its kind.”

Not certain it’ll include a lounge. More of like Saratoga Springs DVC center. Complimentary snacks included, I’m told."
WDW Magic Poster NAILED it!

Terribly disappointing use of that great space.

The only positive is it is better than nothing and will provide a little "energy" in this dead area of Canada.

But a public lounge/bar/QS would have really "completed" this great Pavilion.

Once again the US is treating Canada terribly!lol(JUST A LITTLE LEVITY in dealing with a bummer of a decision by Disney.)

No this is a Canadian pavilion, if they had a use / sponsor for the space they would have had first choice for use of the space. They closed the Canadian retail space, and chose not to replace it with something else. Maybe you would be happier with a Tim Horton's Coffee location.

I suppose that will mark the end of the DVC lounge in the Imagination building.
