I know it's early but we are supposed to fly into Orlando for our PS
on thursday afternoon and this tropical storm lookes like it will be right there at the same time. I'm just freaking out all over cause I am totally looking foward to this trip and if it doesnt happen I will just be completely devastated.

We went in august one year and had a tropical storm kind of stall out over us. It rained and rained and rained.....I've never seen so much rain. We still went out and did stuff, but I swore I would never go again during hurricane season. We still managed to have a good trip. We spent a lot of time at the movie theater in DTD and just relaxing. Hopefully the storm will move on pretty quickly and you won't have any issues!! Fingers crossed!

Thanks Daphne...welcome to the boards!!! Hopefully we wont give too much away...then again you already know about the dress which is the best surprise of all...at least for me.

Well Im feeling a little better now about this hurricane cause it looks like its heading off the coast of FL and onto SC/NC. My regards to those living in that area..please be safe and take a precautions. As a native Floridian I have been through many hurricanes...including Andrew....and I hope that IF it hits your area it does minimal damage and does no harm to no one.

But Im happy that I think we should be OK to fly into Orlando on Thursday afternoon and still have our PS on Friday afternoon. It will just be a rainy night/day which is fine for me. I just wanted to go to DTD to pick up and trade some vinyls and get some wedding stuff. I just dont know if our moms will be able to drive up from Palm Beach on Friday morning to join us for the PS. They are kinda our ride home too...but if we have to spend another day in Disney....I wont complain

Ive got an update planned for later with some pictures. We just moved into a new apartment on Thursday so I've been busy with that stuff, but I plan on posting some fiinished ideas and things we plan on bringing to the PS.

So Trace and I are fine...That was so weird. We were just sitting on the couch watching SVU and the walls started moving...nothing too crazy...some stuff fell but nothing broke. We went outside and stayed there for bout 20 min and found out that it actually was an earthquake. Called home to tell them we were ok.

We really need this trip to disney now...please let that happen!!!!

Now that its been a little bit after the shock of going through an earthquake..I can update with some of the items we plan on taking down to show our planner at our PS.

So, our Unofficial theme for our wedding is Vinylmation. for those of you who dont know what Vinyls are,Trace wrote up a little thing about them that we are going to post near our place cards.

With that being said....our tables are going to be named after Vinylmation series. The placecards will all be DIY projects. We dont know how many tables were going to be having at ADH (right now we have about 55 people attending with about half the reply cards in).
I once again used powerpoint/paint and pictures from the net to make the place cards. I got the half face design from the boxes, cropped them, painted the background white, inserted them into PP and added text and a teal border. We are giving each guest there own pink or purple vinyl(as the above description states) to decorate and take home as a favor. These will be placed with the place cards on a table. Heres a mock up of them that I made.

Next up is the cd that will be put in the welcome bag. I did a post earlier about it and now have the finished product. We used our own label makers from staples instead of using an internet site...found it to be a little bit cheaper.

I also made a mock up of the Hidden mickey cards were putting in the welcome bags too. Were tying them together with our ribbon we got from theknot.com I also made a top card and a card explaining what hidden mickeys are.

Thanks..Its actually really easy to do. Go on google/bing images and search for a cd label maker template. upload it to photoshop or powerpoint, design what you want and then go out and get the label maker kit from staples/office depot/etc. and print it out. There are some websites that can do it for you...we looked at one, myownlabels.com and it was like 10-20 bucks for like 10 labels. Hope that helps!!!!

We recently moved to a new apartment, and all the reply cards from our invitations have our old addrress on it. So we made some post cards to send out to everyone telling them about our new address. Trace actually made these and I couldnt be happier. We once again went to staples and found printable post cards and just printed them out

When we moved we needed some new furniture so we drove to the nearest IKEA store and ended up having an adventure in there!!! Plus it was next to an outlet mall that had a Disney Store outlet. We walked in and found these.

They were only 14.99 compared to 40 originally. Were going to use one of them as a guest book for our guests to sign and the other two we are going to put at the head of our long table dressed up as a bride and groom with some floral around it. Still have to make them but Im glad we got them and I cant wait for them to be finished.

Disney Tomorrow night!!!!!!

Thanks for joining us...with all the stuff I've made I can't believe that I still have so much to make as well...I still have itineraries, door hangers, guest books, the 9" vinyls to decorate and complete the welcome bags. If you can read the description about vinylmation in an earlier post you can see how our addiction grew from one doll to over 175 of them now...lol

Thanks for joining in....I've seen some people use the vinyls for some aspects..but not for everything...well not everything....like we are I'm excited to see what our planner and florist will think and what suggestions they might have for the dolls

Well we leave for Orlando in a few hours and I still have to check the flight status but I think well be fine. I think I'm really excited to go on magical express because as a native Floridian I've never had to use it before...lol

I'll have my lap top and iPad with me so im sure I'll be able to post over the weekend...stay safe with that hurricane everyone...I know it's gonna hit the DC area while were in FL so were hopin our new apt...and my car....will be safe as well.

So we are at francks studio at Disney world for our planning session. The weather is amazing....you would have never guessed that there was a hurricane of the coast a few hours ago....
I'm sitting outside cause they are currently talking about the dress, and I don't know anything about it till that day.

We are both so excited to have our moms with us and don't want this day to end,though it has just began....lol

Sounds great, looking forward to more updates! I guess you are lucky that you are missing the hurricane, oddly enough, by being in Florida! Up here people are definitely panicking, it's supposed to be pretty bad... we'll see how it goes but the most likely thing is that we will probably lose power for awhile. Ya hopefully our new apt in Alexandria VA will be ok. It's close to DC but not near any rivers or the coast so will see. We are supposed to go back on Monday, so hopefully well be able to get back ok. Stay safe up there.

So our planning session is done!!! I'm very happy we came down to do it instead of trying to do it over the phone. I'll have pictures up over the weekend probably. Now I'm just awaiting our BEO so I can see how we are budget wise. I'm sure well have to cut some stuff...I just hope not a whole lot.
