Disneyland 70th speculations and news

Agreed. one park at 104 is cheap. Park hopping is extra and that is not cheap. Some of the cheap days are on OBB nights...so peole may not think is is worth it.
Disneyland is worth it anyday

DCA for me is only worth it if its the Holidays when they have extra shows, or Lunar New Years/Food and Wine because they have some extra shows as well

Totally and I think that's all well and good. However going into holiday mode before labor day...? With weeks left of summer? Got me blindsided a bit - I was honestly shocked when OBB tickets dropped that there was an overlap with our trip this week. I usually keep holidays in their lane at home - Halloween gets October, and Christmas doesn't start until Thanksgiving dinner is cleaned up (US here, so 4th Thursday in Nov, I guess we start that one a little early!).
I thought of you today (Aug 29) when I was at Costco. They had 2025 Lego Disney Advent calendars and Jim Shore Mickey & Minnie Christmas statues. They had more Christmas merchandise than Halloween. And they had pumpkin pies! Nothing screams Labor Day like Costco pumpkin pies.

Same at Sams Club last weekend. More Christmas than Halloween. That's new this year. They at least used to wait on Christmas until October.

The giant Keys to Disneyland finally arrived.

Edit to add photo: As of 7 pm last night, CM said they sold approximately 20. They said there were people waiting for the store to open in the morning.

Apparently Disneyana is sold out of the $250 Keys to Disneyland. They were also selling them in WOD - not sure what the status is there. I'm sure they didn't stock all 3000 of the keys this weekend, so there should be a restock soon.

Have to admit I'm amazed at their popularity. I figured they'd attract a fairly small, niche crowd, and I could not have been more wrong!

Obviously I'm not in the target sector 😂

I apparently missed this and didn't find a reference in my search...what key costs $250? Super version of the interactive key? Did you take a pic? Whatever it is, I'm with @DizMe, I'm sure I'm not their target audience 😆

Yep, $250 and not eligible for any discount. I first posted about it several weeks ago. They had one on display with a "coming soon" sign.

For size reference, here is a pic of it in the hands of a new owner. It doesn't include any pins but lights up and plays music. It has a power supply so that it can stay lit on your shelf.

WOW..that thing is HUGE! Sorry, I was just confusing it with the OTHER overpriced souvenir key :rotfl2:

I honestly wouldn't know what to do with something like that...but clearly there is a market!
