I would like to get our bridal party mickey ears to wear for our park day and for pictures. I looked on ebay and all the lots of like 10 or 12 say that they are already embroidered with some random thing. Of course I would rather pay like $30 for 10 of em, but I guess having them personalized on disneystore.com for $11.95 a piece isnt that bad either. Ive just already bought them so much stuff I dont know if I should or not...I just cant help finding and creating new things for our wedding. Heres trace and I in our ears

OK so with 5 months to go I just wanted to run down a checklist of things that are done/ordered/discussed, etc.

So we were originally looking to do our planning session sometime in October. That would actually be at about 2 and half months away from our wedding!!!!
Although our planner said it would fine to do it then, it looks like its not going to work for traces schedule for her internship..

SO.....I emailed Carol and gave her some dates at the end of August/beginning of September. Hopefully Ill here back from her tomorrow and we can book our flights while there still under $100 a trip. If we can have it in the next couple of weeks, then I think they should be able to get us a
1st draft BEO before our 90 day min. expend. is due.

meh....Carol said that the 3 original dates that we requested for our planning session she will be unavailable for. We can keep the date and possibly do our planning session with another person....has anyone done that before??

Were lookin at some other dates now such as August 22nd or September 1st. Wont know until the morning when hopefully as her assistant put it..."your email will be high priority and the first that Carol will respond to"....I wonder how many times she says that.....
Just trying to book flights for it and definate plans would be great.....

OK.......so we have our planning session booked....its August 26th at 1PM.
Only thing is that I think we may have changed planners cause ours was not available during any of the times we picked. At least I think they changed. We had/have Carol Mickles and the planner that we are meeting with is Mary...The person on the phone didnt mention a last name and I havent gotten a confirmation email yet..so im just waiting on that....but yay planning session booked.

Were flying from DC to orlando and using magical express for the first time!!!(used to live about 2 hrs away from the world so we always just drove) So excitted about that...theres something always new to do at disney!!! Staying at POP for one night on thursday. Gettin in around 5 so well have some time to maybe do dtd that night and do some vinyl trading...we have so many to get rid of..hopefully get some urban 7s. Friday morning our moms are driving up and joining us for the PS and then well go to dinner and drive back to west palm with them. Trace will prolly do some shoe shopping...shoe shopping..(scrubs anyone??) over the weekend and we fly back to DC from PBI on monday....should be a fun weekend getaway..IM SO EXCITED......I GET TO GO TO DISNEY WORLD....WOOOOOOO!!!!!

now we just have to make sure we have all the planning session stuff done and ready.

We got our confirmation today that our planning session is going to be August 26th from 1-6 with a menu tasting at 2:15. Our new planner is Meri Hurst. I dont know anything about her....any ideas. Im sad to have Carol go..but she was just unavailable for the times we needed.

Now we just have to finish our planning kit..we just have ceremony music to pick and write about our vision for the wedding.

Disney in 2 weeks!!!!

so we sent in all of our planning kit/floral ideas and menu tasting selections and we are all set for our planning session...weve got less than 2 weeks and I couldnt be more excited...It seems so weird to only be going to the world only a couple of times a year when im so used to going more often...oh well thats what ya get for moving 4 states away.

So heres our menu tasting selections.

 Pan seared Mahi Mahi with creamed spinach and Applewood Bacon

 Three Peppercorn and Whole Grain Mustard Rubbed Beef Strip Loin

 Francaise Style Boneless chicken Breast sautéed in egg batter

 Coconut shrimp with orange Horse Radish Marmalade

 Bacon and blue cheese beef w/balsamic sun-dried tomato pesto

 Artichoke and goat cheese bruschetta

 Spanakopitas with Artichoke Tomato Tapenade

 Bacon Wrapped Scallops with a Thai Sweet Chili Sugar Glaze

Basically the 3 entrees from the buffet we chose and the coctail hour choices we were lookin at as well. I asked Trace if she wanted to try any of the desserts...she said no because the cake is the only dessert she wants to eat that night..lol

Weve got binders full of pictures of floral/decor/cake/hair/etc. that were takin down to the PS. Ill try and see if I can scan a couple of them, or ill find them on the net to show on here.

Were moving to a new apartment on Thursday which I am excited for as well(though not as excited as going to the world!!!).

Wish I was at the D23 EXPO though...hope they are still doing that in a couple of years when I might actually be able to make it out to Cali.
