I know it is so hard to cut things that you want, but it seems like you have to... so here are my thoughts on what I would do. I know that you may have different options so make of it what you will!
Would the mothers and grandmothers, fathers and grandfathers be offended if they didn't have any sorts of flowers? We didn't do anything for them and no one had a problem with it, your family might be different though.
I also don't know about the details about what you're allowed to bring in to the wedding pavilion and what you have to use of Disney's, but would you be able to provide your own aisle runner? I've seen some really nice ones for a lot less than that.
Perhaps see if the bridesmaid bouquets can be a little smaller than the MOH's? How big are the bouquets?
Maybe if you really like everything you have you could just cut parts of each one? Like, keep the ceremony decor but cut the swag? And then
It doesn't help that Disney way over charges for stuffI had a rose bouquet here in NY at a florist that is definitely not cheap, but it was about half the price of what you're paying. Good luck! I know it's really difficult.
Hey Jay,
So here's my two cents....a lot of that stuff you can order from an outside vendor....I know there's tons of places that do even better aisle runners for cheaper and also, have you considered fake floral. My personal floral is made of real-touch flowers and they look incredible for a fraction of the cost! Since you are using the WP it shouldn't be a problem to bring in your own stuff. All you need is someone to set it up for you...because I don't think Disney will do that. Unless you really want to use Disney and/or you feel it's cutting it too close...I think it's definately something to look into!Goodluck!
Ok so here are some thoughts for you. I made my bouquet a bridesmaid size that cut the price from $250 to 175. I then asked her to make the bridesmaid bouquets a little smaller so there's went from $115 to 75. My florist assured me they will still look great! If I were you I'd cut the aisle runner. I went to michaels and got a really pretty one of $20. I had a 40% off coupon!! I believe you can get the rose petals on the aisle down to $200 and it still looks good. My florist sent me a picture. Another thing I would think about is the napkins. I know they look nice when the table is set but once people sit down they are going to move them and have them put on their laps. We were going to do these too but then decided the table cloth colors would be enough. We are now just going with the standard white at no charge. I know its hard to give up but out of everything on the list that is probably one of the easiest, people will just be getting food on them! Good luck![]()
I agree about the aisle runner. I would not go with Disney. It's one of the few things that I used an outside vendor for. My aisle runner had "happily ever after" and our date on it and was only $250 including shipping so I'm sure if you just wanted a plain white one, you would be able to find it much cheaper
Thank you all for you great tips and suggestions!!!!! Its great to know that you can always count on people on the boards to help out with stuff. so YAY to all of you....you all get......DANCING BANANAS!!!!!

So We looked at all of your suggestions and sat down and talked for a while. Now we still have tons of time to decide on things, but we want to try and get this down now cause once October/November hits, its gonna be hectic for trace at her internship so this will put some of it to ease if we can get a majority of it done now. So heres what we have talked about so far.
INITAL BEO CUTS (as of 9/21/11):
1. Flutter Fetti Confetti Cannon
2. (10 bottles) Sparkling wine/champagne toast
3. Nine hour motor coach
For the floral BEO we might be cutting the grandparents floral, though its not that expensive. It mainly depends on if we can find floral at a cheaper price then what we ordered. We ordered a flower called stephanotis that just looks amazing as an accent flower. We didnt get a definate price, but we think its about 9 bucks a flower. And its in each flower in the bridal party. So we might just keep it in Trace and I's floral.
We talked about what would have the most impact on us and we thought that having floral/decor at the ceremony would be more important then at the reception. They have us set up for 12 pew markers at every other pew. We are looking to cut that down to 6 or 8 to bring down that cost. Its likely that we will keep the runner, pew markers, and floor petals. I tried looking at some outside vendors for the aisle runner and i could only find a couple in the orlando area. artisticaislerunners.com wanted to charge $520 for a WP runner with monogram and all that stuff. Id rather go with the 250 plain one that dis is doing unless anyone knows of another company?
We might do fake floral for the petals on the floor, as they will just be sitting there, and most people probably wont notice that there fake. Just waiting on a price for it.
Asked if we could use the existing chairs that are on the 2nd and 3rd floors of ADH instead of the dance floor chairs(the ones with the red and black backing). The existing chairs are just solid wood backing and we wouldnt need the chair covers for them. If we are doing chair covers, we might use solid teal sashes to match the table cloths that we might change. Now we have this teal/purple metallic table cloth and chair sash thats costing $234 for the table cloths and $425 for the chair covers. Soooo..lets see if changing the texture changes the price.
