We did get the tree up this weekend! :santa:

This is one of my all time favorites! Of course my friend and I ate from the kids stuff most of the time, but oh well! But it's so good!

We love Crystal Palace too! :goodvibes We've been there twice for breakfast and once for dinner.

I can't wait to eat at Crystal Palace for the first time LOL!!! I'm also very excited about seeing the Magic Kingdom before opening YAY!!

We were supposed to get our tree up but that didn't quite happen so hopefully one night this week. I'm thinking Tuesday night sounds like a good time to get the tree up LOL!!!

Well I'm feeling a bit better so I'm going to go ahead and start making my Christmas cookies...see you all in a bit!

Thank you for sharing this with us, it gives me hope. My parents have always wanted to go but never found the time to go. They are reaching that age and now have some health issues and are afraid it will be too much walking. I am trying to convince them to stay at a monorail resort and rent a scooter. My mom has always wanted to go to Hawaii but the price has always scared her away. I think I am going to try to sell them on the Poly and I have told them that at Disney you can take your own pace. They have a slow internet connection and once that changes, and when mom retires in a few years I will really sell them on coming down with us for a week to try it out. I think they would love it there. What's not to love?

Remmy - We took my MIL with us last year - her first trip in MANY years (the last time she went, it was just MK and Epcot). My MIL is 72. Now, she's in pretty good health, but it was still a lot of walking. We took our time and went at her pace (no rope drops for us that trip! :) ). We did do the Dining Plan so she could have one sit down meal a day. I'd say talk 'em into it - I don't think they'll regret it in the long run! Even if you do rent a wheelchair or ECV, the trip will still provide so many memories!

Oh, I just can't imagine the excitment in your house right now. I also can't imagine all the stress you're feeling right now. :scared1:

/
What do you mean they shortened the Backlot Tour???

Who knows- I could be wrong on this one, too. But you used to go through all of the costume shops and landscaping shops, and I've read that they don't do that any more. I think now it's just the street of different houses, the disaster canyon thing, and the New York street. Am I wrong about that?

Sorry for any confusion.

My packet came in the mail! The luggage tags are soo fun. I wasn't expecting them for a few more weeks, but oh well!
Me too! :thumbsup2

Hi Snowbirds! Wanted to let everyone know that Disney Holiday Magic with Samantha Brown will be on Thursday 8pm on the Travel Channel.

Hi Snowbirds! :cool1: :cool1:
I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
:welcome: to our new feathered friends!

Ooh, thanks! :thumbsup2 Now, will someone volunteer to remind me on Thursday?

Hmm. . . maybe it was longer prior to 2005??? It has always been the same since we started going then. Starts out with the little skit at the beginning (that's what DH was in) and then you load onto the ride and it goes through several different scenes and the costume shop and catastrophe canyon. . . Well either way, I am pretty bummed it will be closed!!

Has anyone checked the rehabs the last few days? I haven't. I'm afraid! :scared1:

Just wanted to remind ya'll that I do have that Christmas shopping thread!! For those who haven't read it yet, come on over & lets talk about what we bought/are buying for family/friends this year!!!!

I can't wait! This was my favorite. We've done breakfast twice. The first time it was just my dh and I on our honeymoon. My dd is a huge Pooh fan so I can't wait!

Good Evening Snowbirds,

Mama Snowbird, thank you for posting the menu to Crystal Palace. That is one of our ADRs. We would love to go for the evening meal but couldn't fit it in our schedule so we are going at lunch. We still get to see Pooh and Friends, so all is good.

It was a good sunny morning but in the afternoon it started to rain then turn into freezing rain. I don't mind rain and I don't mind snow but I really don't like freezing rain. I don't like having to tug and tug at the door until it comes open. I also don't like the likeliness of slipping.

I am going to put the kids to bed early tonight. It is really dark so I don't think they will notice too much.

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.

Remmy

Hello everyone! I didn't get a chance to Dis yesterday. I had the World's Largest Disco! We had practice in the morning, I had to run some errands and then the disco was at 8pm. We always do two dances on the big stage they have there. Well, we did one that my friends choreographed and then we got to dance on stage with the Brady Bunch! Well, the three boys and the woman who played Cindy. It was awesome! We danced to "Sunshine Day" and did some "authentic" Brady moves. Amazing!

Today, I went to the Bills game with my DH. I was pretty excited and then it rained during the whole game. I stayed warm though because his seats are at club level and they're heated. Very nice. It was an absolutely HORRIBLE game. We lost 10-3. Yeah, it was a stinker. Now, I'm just warming up and relaxing.

I've missed all of you so much these past two days! I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend. I'm not ready to have a normal week this week. I have yet to put up my Christmas lights, but I'll probably do it tomorrow. At least we put up the tree last weekend. I love this time of year!

Ooh, thanks! :thumbsup2 Now, will someone volunteer to remind me on Thursday?

I just wrote myself a note! And then after I fold laundry I'll set up the DVR right away!!:lmao: If I remember, I'll try to post on here to remind everyone!

Remmy - I should also let you know that the last few trips we've made were with my MIL - who is now 80 years old and walks - but slowly - throughout the parks. She loves it!! My SIL who is 60 is coming too, and she also has walking trouble, but she may use a scooter. There is so much to see and do, just being there is such a great experience for any age. Plus, wouldn't they love to go with the grandkids and see how much they enjoy it? My MIL even goes on rides! Nothing too wild, but she does quite a lot. Plus, if she wants to rest, we just set a place to meet, so we can go do a ride and come back to her. I hope your parents will try it and go with you!!

Say - did anyone notice the Tinkerbell movie is on right now on Disney Channel? Yup my kids are watching it. They don't know they are getting the DVD for Christmas from Grandma. Hee Hee. I sure hope they like it!
