Welcome new Snowbirds. I cannot believe how long list keeps on growing!:goodvibes
Just a few quick questions-
1. What is Black Friday? Why do all the retail shops open crazy hours and discount heavily before the Christmas season? In my part of Canada we don't have this and they do have some discounts before Christmas but usually not the large discounts until after.

Remmy

Black Friday is historically the "busieset shopping day of the year." They call it that because its the day that retailers supposedly go from being in the red to being in the black as far as profits. Also alot of businesses and schools consider it a holiday,k so people are off and ready to shop! I hated it when I worked retail, but love it now!

I was so exhausted I guess from the holiday and cooking and getting up so early to shop, I fell asleep at 8pm last night!! We left mom's about 615 or so, Keaton fell asleep in the car so we let him sleep (hadn't had a nap), me and Drew snuggled up in my bed and we both fell asleep! It was wonderful!! Both boys woke up about 3 and came in our bed but then we all woke up about 615!! A GREAT nights sleep! Now I need to run to the gas station to get milk because they both want chocolate milk and all I have is V8 Splash. Talk to you all later!

DH wants us out of his hair. He's working on his thesis and he's a bit stressed about it.
I can sympathize! I have my big exam on wednesday, I came into my office at work to be left alone. DH and DD can then have the house to themselves.
So here I am ready to hit the books! :surfweb:
I am stressed too, school work, tests, it all does it to you!
Dont take it personally from your DH, I am a real crab right now due to stress, so best to keep away and get the job done!

Morning Snowbirds! We're heading to get a tree this morning and get hte house all Christmassy! I love it! :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa:

Congrats to everyone that has their trip paid in full- I'm not paying til last minute on the 10th! It really is getting close isn't it!!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Good luck to everyone taking exams and dealing with school stuff- I don't miss it one bit! :teacher:

All I have left to buy for her is the Nintendo DS. The bundle packs that were in the ads for today didn't appeal to me. She wants the pink one and the bundle packs had light blue or red. Not gonna cut it! We'll also get her a few games too.
My sister ordered the DS bundle from Walmart.com a week or so ago and got the pink one for her dd. It came with the DS in your choice of colors, the case and accessories, and 2 games of your choice. It was around $150 I think for all of it. They might have better deals now though.
Mom and I went shopping...we left at 7 and got back about 6:30. We got most of the stuff we wanted but didn't really need. We did get 2 of our important items...Mom got a futon for the basement...and I got the Cricut Personal Cutter, I'm so excited for this I've wanted one for so long...I got it for $99.99 from Walmart, they price matched JoAnn Fabrics...the only thing I didn't get was the the rolling drawer cart from JoAnn's.
Wow Great price on the Cricut! Congrats!

Goodmorning everyone! Hope you all had a great time shopping yesterday. The weather was terrible here, so we chose not to get out. I'm letting DH sleep in this morning and then we are going to hit the mall. (I hope. It's my plan, at least.:confused3 ) Belle is being such good girl this morning and has been kissing/hugging me and telling me that she loves me. AWE!!!

That's awesome! Congrats!:cheer2:
Do you have finals coming up? Good luck!
TY.......Yes I do.....One on Monday, One on Wednesday and a group presentation on Thursday ..... :rotfl2: Oh and let's not forget that 10 page term paper due next week

Good morning Snowbirds! :goodvibes

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. We went to see Bolt last night and went to dinner. Bolt was very cute! :thumbsup2

Nice! :thumbsup2 What kind of extras did you get? Perhaps I'll book with them the next trip... Just don't tell my hubby I'm ready to start planning another one before we even leave for this one:rolleyes1 .[/QUOTE]

We were sent t-shirts (for all of us)that say "Disney Magic starts here" with the TA info on the back, the kids all got stickers, autograph books and disney ink pens, Dinorah included two trading pins with Tink on them and the best thing was a really nice photo albumn with Mickey embrodered on the front. I really recommend her. We begin this trip plan last August/September and needless to say I have made changes over the year and she has always been very good about calling or emailing within 24 hrs.
:lmao: Thank goodness my husband loves Disney as much as I do.......I told him when the 7 for 4 deal came out that I was booking a return......his response was......"Well what are YOU waiting for :rotfl: ...Yup I love that man !!!!

I love the cute Christmas avatar pics! Jen - feel better!
I hit two stores today while DD7 was at brownies, got four gifts! Oh boy.
Going to put up the tree this afternoon when DH gets home from work. I'm slowly putting out some other decorations. I can't remember where I put stuff last year! I guess it will look different this year!

Congrats to all who are paid in full. We've got until December 12. Then I'll really have lots of Disney Visa Rewards!! Between that and the $200 GC, that should cover most of our meals! :yay:

Hi all! Just checking in for the afternoon. Hubby is downstairs cleaning the basement and organizing the storage room. He wants to finish that space so bad! I do too but it's just not in the budget. I guess we could if we didn't go to Disney...Yeah right!:rotfl2:

I'm taking a break from cleaning. I did the bathrooms and kitchen, now I just need to tackle to bedrooms and laundry. We just have so much STUFF that doesn't seem to have a place to go! How do we have so many clothes that have no where to go? UGH!! Anyway, gonna turn on a movie and get to work! Have a great afternoon snowbirds!

I'm cleaning too - sporadically! It is SO frustrating to have all this "stuff" that has no home, or at least the kids can't figure out where to put it. Every once in a while, I have to go find some "stuff" to donate and clear some space! My DH and I can't stand the clutter and piles of papers around here, but yet they never seem to go away! It's too hard to keep up without just throwing everything away!

Oh yeah, papers are a big one around here too! Kids stuff they bring home from Kindergarten or preschool, bills, junk mail...aaaahhhhh!!!

And the toys (or pieces of toys). Kids are staying the night with grandma in a couple of weeks, so we're going to go thru the toys with the boys not here! Pitch-fest!!

Hi Snowfriends!! Well, we are kinda lazy around here today-my parents are still here, so I can't do a lot--but thankfully after all that cooking ,there's not too much to be done---except:laundy:

Glad you all had a good time shopping yesterday!! Jenny--I know you are gonna looooove going through those toys!! Kids have so much now, and I bet they won't even realize most of what is missing when they get home.

Jen-hope you feel better-----love the avatar!!! I think I may call you after while---unless you are napping right now!! Ha! I hate being woken from a nap by the phone ringing.AARRGGGHHH!!!!

Hope the rest of your weekends are wonderful!!!

US too, you're not alone with STUFF with no home...I was planning on heading home and start the organizing!

Wow look at Mickey in my ticker reaching Cinderella Castle! I just noticed after my last post... seeing him move really lets me know how fast time does fly by. I added him Jan 2008, and he's a moving! :mickeyjum

My feeling is to just steer clear of him. He's hates writing and really doesn't like this part of the program but it MUST be done. I was able to finish my Masters up before DS came along, so I didn't have that added stress close to the end. I just keep cheering him along:cheer2: It's the best I can do.

My packet came in the mail! The luggage tags are soo fun. I wasn't expecting them for a few more weeks, but oh well!

Good Evening. How is everyone? I'm doing good here. Mom and I went shopping this afternoon and I got a book and new slippers!!! My feet have been getting very cold. So now my friend and I are trying to decide if we want to go see 4 Christmases tonight or not.
