We did some shopping today and then worked on the outside Christmas lights until it got too dark!

Anyone can play!! It's fun here!
As you can tell, we're a chatty bunch! We were most talkative when the new codes/deals came out and we were all obsessing about or plans! Jump in anytime.
Do you have children going with you? It's always fun to bring newbies! I took my parents once, they were about 65 at the time!! They were amazed. I think we overwhelmed them. LOL.

Evening to all my Snowbird friends! We just finished putting up our Christmas tree- I love Christmas!!!! Tomorrow my hubby is going to try to get the outside lights up before it rains.

Belle is being such good girl this morning and has been kissing/hugging me and telling me that she loves me. AWE!!!

I love when they get all cuddly like that- melts your heart doesn't it! Mine were all smoochy because I put up the mistletoe and told them what it meant if you stand under it. It became a game of catching each other under it and stealing kisses. My son was trying to be sly and kept saying "Monny (he started calling me Monny instead of Mommy when he was a baby and it has stuck which is how I got my screen name) come stand over here!" Hey, I'll take the kisses any way I can get 'em!

We were sent t-shirts (for all of us)that say "Disney Magic starts here" with the TA info on the back, the kids all got stickers, autograph books and disney ink pens, Dinorah included two trading pins with Tink on them and the best thing was a really nice photo albumn with Mickey embrodered on the front. I really recommend her. We begin this trip plan last August/September and needless to say I have made changes over the year and she has always been very good about calling or emailing within 24 hrs.
Thank goodness my husband loves Disney as much as I do.......I told him when the 7 for 4 deal came out that I was booking a return......his response was......"Well what are YOU waiting for ...Yup I love that man !!!!

It's so much fun taking newbies along! I've done that a few times. At first they were, well, scared of how excited I was. However after being there for a few days you just get soaked up in it.

Hi Snowfriends!! Well, we are kinda lazy around here today-my parents are still here, so I can't do a lot--but thankfully after all that cooking ,there's not too much to be done---except

Glad you all had a good time shopping yesterday!! Jenny--I know you are gonna looooove going through those toys!! Kids have so much now, and I bet they won't even realize most of what is missing when they get home.

Finally completed our ADR's tonight!! D and I are hanging out at a hotel in CT while H is at his 35th HS reunion. Tomorrow we bring her back to school in NY, so we actually cut 2 hours off of our drive there. So, we made our final 3 reservations. We already had the first two days done, and now just added our last 3 days. They are:
1/22 Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic Package
1/23 Royal Princess Breakfast in Norway at Epcot
1/24 Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge - Dinner
1/25 LeCellier in Canada - Lunch
1/26 Donald's Breakfast Safari at Tusker House in AK

I had the greatest CM on the phone - he was so helpful and so much fun. I actually stayed on the line afterwards and did the survey and gave him all Excellents!

Now - really getting excited for our trip!

Hello Everyone,

I hope all Snowbirds have had a great weekend so far. I have been sick with a nasty cold in the lungs. Thus far I have had no desire to do anything but try to rest. That isn't too bad of a plan but the laundry I ignored to do DD's massive project is now taunting me.

Welcome to the newest Snowbird. Feel free to come and chat with us about anything. I find that we are all friendly.

I wanted to mention that I really like the some of the Snowbirds new avatars. At first I thought we had even more Snowbirds joining us until I read the names. They really get me in the mood of the season.

All of our tickers seem to be moving much faster than when we first attached them. I know I love seeing Stitch and Lightning reaching towards the end.

DH's company gave out gift certificates for a local chain restaurant for their end of the year bonus. We used them yesterday to go out for lunch (very tasty) and then went and saw Bolt. We all really liked the movie. I know they will want to try to see the Bolt character if available when we are down. He is so cute!

Thank you for sharing this with us, it gives me hope. My parents have always wanted to go but never found the time to go. They are reaching that age and now have some health issues and are afraid it will be too much walking. I am trying to convince them to stay at a monorail resort and rent a scooter. My mom has always wanted to go to Hawaii but the price has always scared her away. I think I am going to try to sell them on the Poly and I have told them that at Disney you can take your own pace. They have a slow internet connection and once that changes, and when mom retires in a few years I will really sell them on coming down with us for a week to try it out. I think they would love it there. What's not to love?

Morning Birdies! Just wanted to check in real quick to say hi before I start emailing Sears nasty notes about my GPS that was promised last Monday and no one seems to know why it wasn't sent. I called the store they were supposed to ship it to yesterday and they told me when you order online even though they give you a promise date like two weeks later, it could be several more weeks, they just don't tell you that...Uh, what??? So I called yesterday and the online cust. service was "looking into it" and I should recieve another email...we'll see!

On a good note, its kinda dark and dreary today so I'm on the couch with the Christmas tree on (we'll put the ornaments on later) and coffee brewing watching Emporer's New Groove. HYSTERICAL!! I love this movie!

Good morning Snowbirds - and welcome to the new friends!



We put up our tree last night and will decorate it today. We got out a bunch of decorations around the house - still a bit more to do, including the village. And, in perfect timing, we woke up to a light blanket of snow! So pretty! It really puts me in a Christmas mood! So of course we have the music on too!

I have to drive back to school today, and I'm on the last stretch before the end of the semester. Only three weeks to go! I have so much to get done though that I almost wish I had an extra week in there. Oh well!

Hello everyone! It's been very quiet here this weekend, but it's to be expected now that most people are in the Christmas mode. I normally start decorating the day after Thanksgiving, but I have a nasty cold. Wisconsin is suppose to get hit with 6-12 inches of snow by 5 pm tonight, so I'm staying indoors. My DD's are at a sleepover from last night, so it's just me and 6 hunters coming and going through the morning. Thankfully, it's the last day for deer hunting in my house, so maybe some of these men will go home to their wives and I don't have to cook for them anymore!

My TA emailed me about my final payment as well yesterday, so I'm excited about that as well. Disney Rewards points are racking up!

So, I'm off to check out my facebook account..I "found" an old classmate that moved to England 16 years ago! I'm so excited to catch up!
