Well, my employer thought better of staying open and closed the offices at 1. The commute was long, but not bad. I am now safely ensconced at home. :cloud9: Now we just have to keep the driveway clear enough for DH to drive in!

I was wondering where you had been. I bet your boys are really excited about Christmas and WDW!! :yay: :yay:

I hope your ear will be back to normal soon. Ear infections are the worst!

Thanks! :goodvibes
Yep, the boys are excited! My 10-year-old reads over my shoulder when I'm DISing. The other day he said, "Oh, Momof2Disneyboys...she's the one who is surprising her two boys!"

They have school through next Tuesday also. Unfortunately they also keep going until mid-June!

I forgot to share!!! I DVR'd this a while back and finally watched it last night

The Age of Believing: The Disney Live-Action Classics and loved it! Most of hte films were before my time but luckily I have a wonderful mother who *made* me watch them growing up- Parent Trap, Swiss Family Robinson, Pollyanna, LOVE them all!!!!:lovestruc

It comes on again on Sunday, December 21,2008 11:45 PM and Sunday, December 28,2008 10:30 AM so set your DVR's!!!

It was really neat hearing about how Walt did it all! Enjoy!!!!!

Ooh, thanks! I'll have to watch that! :thumbsup2

Well, my ticker says ONE MONTH!!

And I got my new planning DVD today, too! :happytv:

My DD has school til Tuesday and then her last day of school is June 23rd. That's what I grew up with too.

I keep hearing about everyone getting their DVD. I placed my order a few weeks ago and have yet to get it.

Good afternoon everyone. No snow day here. Oh well. The store was surprisingly busy all day. Now I'm home and about to make me some cookies. Man do I want that 71 and mostly sunny right now!!

Thanks! :goodvibes

Wow I can't believe he remembered that! I hope we get to meet up for a bit and the boys can play!

Well that stinks!

How about your other school breaks, are they very long? Our spring break usually consists of a Friday and a Monday. :rotfl:

But like I said, I'll take it. We don't start until after Labor Day and are done the Friday after Memorial Day! :goodvibes

Hi everyone! We dodged the big snowstorm- got a dusting here, I guess it all passed to the south and east of us. Supposed to get more tomorrow.
Yeah, they say that about every other day now!

I was at school most of the day helping with fun party stuff. The kindergarten class made gingerbread cookies yesterday, and they ran away from the kitchen when they got baked! So they had to go on a scavenger hunt to find them - I "helped" the cookies end up back in the classroom - then they ate them - sticky mess!!

The 2nd grade class had hot chocolate and watched A Charlie Brown Christmas. Very cute. In between I ran to the grocery store and then when we got home, went to Target and picked up my Christmas cards and the last two gifts!!
Now tonight we're baking gingerbread cookies (pre-made dough) and addressing the cards. I have all the labels and stamps ready, so they can FINALLY go out tomorrow!

I hope all who are snowed in are cozy and safe!! Everyone needs to get better by Christmas and stay healthy for our trips!

We are expecting 50 cm of snow by Christmas Day! I walked up the drive and it was up to my knees tonight! Yikes!!! It appears to have stopped snowing now, I cleared what snow I could with the shovel. DH broke snowblower ! Yikes! So I have to wait for him to come home from work to help with the heavy snow shovelling.

For now we'll watch Christmas specials, drink hot chocolate, with the fire going!

Evening all! I'm snuggled up in bed already. Keaton still has a temp off and on. Made it half a day at daycare and hubby picked him up at noon. Drew's last day of Kindergarten was today and they're off for two weeks. I think I'm getting some of what Keaton had. Terrible headache, feel chilled and just run down! So luckily Andy doesn't have to work late so I'm in bed and he's making dinner for the kids!!

I called the cake hotline today. They're friendly but not terribly helpful! I ordered a 6" chocolate and she said I could have Happy Birthday on it. I thought I couldn't with the small one. :confused3 She said it was $21. Hopefully it will be nice and yummy!

I've been doing some brainstorming this evening. I thought it might be nice to have something special when we arrive at WDW. Is there anything neat but not overly expensive for 1st trips or reunions we could get? I would love to surprise my sisters!

Ooh, I think this is my 200th post!:cheer2:

I needed to call today and total forgot. She emailed me and said she would send photos but never did. I think I am going with the $21 dollar cake too.
I also thought you could not get anything on it. I ws going ot get the Mickey head cake, but I think it would be a waste for four people.

EC on the Magical Express tag means Epcot. That is the area CBR is in. Each hotel is in an "area". Then they lump 2-3 resorts in that area onto one ME bus.

Thanks! Will they still get regular luggage tags? My mom is disappointed they didn't have cuter ones. :snooty:

We start the Wed after Labor Day. We get a week off in the middle of February and then have a week off at Easter (Spring Break starts on Good Friday and ends the Sunday after Easter). Well, Spring Break was just in the middle of April this past year since Easter was early. That's it for breaks. Then, they end school at the end of June. HS is a little different since there are exams and all. However, graduation is always at the end of June as well. My graduation was on June 23rd (a day before my 18th birthday!).

I hope that everyone has a good weekend! I won't be back from Syracuse until Sunday evening. Stay warm and healthy!

Hello Laura!!! I was actually gonna pm you and ask how you are doing earlier today, and got side tracked!! I know they have a florist there, but I think it's kinda pricey. You could always check into it and see. I have never done that, so I am not even sure what all is available. But that's a very sweet idea!!!!

Aww, thanks for the thought. I'm doing okay. The work situation is still very, very, very rough. It has challenged me a lot for my first six months of ministry, but I do have great support from family, friends, colleagues, and the Bishop's office. I will fight for this call every step of the way. The problems are only with a select few who feel their power in the church threatened and I know the majority want me there. It is just taking a lot of patience, strength, and faith. I know i'll come out a better pastor for it!

The trip to Disney is meaning more and more to me by the day. I think after this trip, i'm going to need to start planning another one asap! It has really kept me going. During the times I get stressed or anxious about the work situation, I pop on here and do planning. It relaxes me immediately!

Well, we're home and warm. Rather than take our chances with when a bus might turn up, we took the first one home (DH and I work at the same place), which dropped us off about a mile from home.

Yeah. Walking home. In about 8" of snow. With unplowed roads and sidewalks. THINK OF THE CALORIES I'VE BURNED! We helped get a car unstuck and then shoveled our own driveway. OUCH!

My parents signed up for the ChEAR squad for the marathon and they keep forwarding me the emails, which is great!! Today's had a link on how to build a "route planner" so that we can watch DH in the most places possible. I'm pretty happy now, because I had NO idea how it was going to work before.

In three weeks, we'll be on our way. In three weeks, I hope we don't have a major snowfall the day we're supposed to leave!

(OMG THREE WEEKS!!!!)
