I'm home doing laundry right now. The snow is still blowing. My neighbor called and said that 2 4x4 trucks are in her ditch today....Doesn't matter how big the vehicle is, it's all about how it's driven:rotfl: .

Our dogs didn't want to go outside to go potty either...the little beagle didn't want a frozen "who ha"...so she tried to pee on my porch...:rolleyes1

My TV is off so I get this basket folded faster...

The main reason they closed 80 is because of people in 4x4's who were hotshotting around & ended upin the ditches. Come on people be responsible. We have all wheel drive (normally but thanks to the deer in the shop) but you still have to use common sense when driving.

My male Wire Fox Terrier refuses to go out. I had to clear him a potty area he doesn't like his privates touching snow:rotfl:

working up energy to do cookies:rolleyes1

Thank you for posting the menu Shelly!! I'm so getting the Filet Mignon LOL~~~

The things we do for animals!:lmao:

Another neighbor girl (13) just called and wanted my DD to come over...how in the world does this child think we are getting there...1/4 mile away through a field? :confused3 We are absolutely NOT going out of this house today and absolutely NO ONE is coming in until 10:30pm when hubby gets home from work. My doors are sealed shut!

Whew, i've been away for a while. The craziness of Advent has been in full swing but I think i'm catching up. The Christmas Eve candlelight service is now planned and all I have to do is get the sermon done. I can't believe it's Christmas next week!

Is it wrong of me to openly admit to you that I am more excited that Disney is only a month away from today than I am about Christmas? I guess that puts me in the category of officially addicted!:rotfl:

HA! I have the same problems with my foxhound/lab mix. Even rain gets her riled up. This morning we are having a wintry mix and I literally had to drag her out to go potty. She is such a pansy!

Its funny because Reggie(WFT) loves to play in the snow. Will go sledding etc but he hates to go out to potty in it. I always get the strange animals:lmao:

Here's the view out my front window right now. :scared: I didn't take the photo in black and white, it's really that gray out there. And there's a road buried somewhere, too.

Looks exactly like WNY right now! When my DH left for work around 7:30am, there wasn't a flake in the sky. About half an hour later, it was blizzard like.

It's not so much that they expect to get anything done. I think it's a hedge against multiple snow days later on, and trying to get all the required school days in before the fiscal year ends. In MA, students have to have 180 days of school by June 30 or get a special dispensation from the state. A couple of years ago, several school systems had so many snow days that they had to cancel April vacation to get the days in!:scared1:

Yeah. I know. A few year ago, we got what we like to call here in WNY, the October storm. We got a major snowstorm on Oct 13th. The trees couldn't handle it since they were still covered in leaves. We were without power for 3 days. We were lucky. My parents had no power for 8 days. Schools were closed for quite awhile. Some districts, not ours, took away days from Spring Break. We really don't get many snow days here. When I lived in Syracuse, we had TONS! I remember when we had a blizzard on my mom's birthday, March 15th. It was crazy!

Hey everyone! Hope you are all having a great day. We had our big Christmas party this morning, so I've been very busy. Tommorow I have a wedding to coordinate. The bride is very sweet and it is a Christmas themed wedding. It's going to be beautiful!

Okay... I'm off to work now. Have a great afternoon!

I just got the rest of my Magical Mail!!!!

Too bad I can't look at it right now and had to hide it. Dang why didn't I get the mail before the kids got home??!!

I'm FREE......I'm FREE...YAY

Just updated my PTR, done with school for 16days, and best of all my 2009 Disney Planning DVD arrived (only like 5 days after I ordered it LOL)!! So I'm going to work more on my PTR and go watch the Disney DVD...I can't wait!!!!!

Congrats to everyone who is enjoying a snow day!!!! We've got miserable cold rain here and man is it blah!

My dd is feeling better- fever is down but man the whining is horrible. I think she got used to me responding to every little whimper when she was sick and expects it now. Thanks for all the well wishes and I hope everyone's littlest Snowbirds stay healthy!

Carrie Welcome home!!!!!! :flower3: Home you all adjust to the time change quickly! :thumbsup2

Shelly- thanks for the Chef Mickey menu- I can't wait to have my dh's birthday breakfast there! I love the mickey ornaments- we may have to get crafty around here this weekend and make some of our own!

Soleil- I love the weather reports!!!!

I can't believe Disney is so close!!!!!!

My parents are flying and got their Magical Express mail yesterday. Their luggage tags are yellow with Mickey and say Caribbean Beach on them and the letters EC. Anyone know what the EC stands for? I told my dad it means "extra clumsy" so they'll be sure to lose his luggage. He didn't find it very amusing. :confused3

They should get the package stuff separate right? I haven't gotten anything yet. :sad2:

I forgot to share!!! I DVR'd this a while back and finally watched it last night

The Age of Believing: The Disney Live-Action Classics and loved it! Most of hte films were before my time but luckily I have a wonderful mother who *made* me watch them growing up- Parent Trap, Swiss Family Robinson, Pollyanna, LOVE them all!!!!:lovestruc

It comes on again on Sunday, December 21,2008 11:45 PM and Sunday, December 28,2008 10:30 AM so set your DVR's!!!

It was really neat hearing about how Walt did it all! Enjoy!!!!!

Lovin' the weather reports, Soleil! Thanks so much!

Congrats on your freedom, JenJolt

Hope everyone is snuggly warm in their homes tonight. We are having lots of rain but it is starting to freeze.

My little man is still sick. He's not vomitting, which is good, but he's still got a temp for 101 and has been sleeping for 2 hours. He's not taken a nap for over a year.

DH is officially on vacation, lucky guy! It'll be nice to have him home with us.

EC on the Magical Express tag means Epcot. That is the area CBR is in. Each hotel is in an "area". Then they lump 2-3 resorts in that area onto one ME bus.
