OH, I knew I would forget something!! The weight thing. I too would loooove to lose about 10 pounds before my trip. I have lost 2.5 in the last week or two.Secret: NO Dr. Pepper!!!!!! Sorry Jenjolt and other DP girls. That stuff is loaded with sugar!! Even tho it's my favorite thing--besides good ole sweet tea!! (lots of sugar too).. My friend is a nurse and counts carbs, calories and fat for everything known to man!! She said that a normal Dr. P in a rest. is about 400 calories. Well, since I don't buy them for home, when we eat out I get one and usually get at least 2 refills. DANG!! That's my calorie count for the day!!!
So, I have to give them up. I did quit them once for about 6 months. I lost one pants size in about 3 weeks!!!!!So, that and getting back walking daily with the kids (& dog) should help me a lot!!! We usually do 2-3miles when we walk. I walk a bit, then jog a little.
I really want to lose this little bit. Hubby and friends think I am obsessed, but I guess what I want to do is firm up. I am not big, just kinda flabby--mostly belly area. I have had 3 preg. and all were C-sec., so I know that makes a difference. But, when I look on the scale and see #s that I didn't ever see unless 6or+ months pregnant kinda scares me. I have been praying about it & asked the Lord to really help me through this. I know some people need to lose a lot more, but this is big for me. Add to this I am only 5'2"- and short-waisted, and you see I don't have lots of room for extra!! Thank the Lord my legs are long for my height!!! If not I would have to lose about 25 pounds!!!
What are ya'll doing for weight loss? Gym is out of the question for me--I don't have time, wouldn't stick to it and it is uncomfortable for me.Don't like working out/exercising in front of men. Or girls who look better than me
