OH, I knew I would forget something!! The weight thing. I too would loooove to lose about 10 pounds before my trip. I have lost 2.5 in the last week or two.Secret: NO Dr. Pepper!!!!!! Sorry Jenjolt and other DP girls. That stuff is loaded with sugar!! Even tho it's my favorite thing--besides good ole sweet tea!! (lots of sugar too).. My friend is a nurse and counts carbs, calories and fat for everything known to man!! She said that a normal Dr. P in a rest. is about 400 calories. Well, since I don't buy them for home, when we eat out I get one and usually get at least 2 refills. DANG!! That's my calorie count for the day!!!:scared1: So, I have to give them up. I did quit them once for about 6 months. I lost one pants size in about 3 weeks!!!!!So, that and getting back walking daily with the kids (& dog) should help me a lot!!! We usually do 2-3miles when we walk. I walk a bit, then jog a little.

I really want to lose this little bit. Hubby and friends think I am obsessed, but I guess what I want to do is firm up. I am not big, just kinda flabby--mostly belly area. I have had 3 preg. and all were C-sec., so I know that makes a difference. But, when I look on the scale and see #s that I didn't ever see unless 6or+ months pregnant kinda scares me. I have been praying about it & asked the Lord to really help me through this. I know some people need to lose a lot more, but this is big for me. Add to this I am only 5'2"- and short-waisted, and you see I don't have lots of room for extra!! Thank the Lord my legs are long for my height!!! If not I would have to lose about 25 pounds!!!

What are ya'll doing for weight loss? Gym is out of the question for me--I don't have time, wouldn't stick to it and it is uncomfortable for me.Don't like working out/exercising in front of men. Or girls who look better than me:laughing: Lets do this together girls!!!

Love the countdown calendar.
I think I'm going to do something for DD when we tell her at Christmas.
I saw one on John & Kate Plus 8 last week.
I'm trying to come up with things to include in the box when we tell her.
I want to find a toy airplane, the countdown calendar.......

That's all I have so far. :rotfl2:
I have some work to do.

But to give up my Dr. Pepper :sad1: Well what if I increase my water intake and limit myself to just one Dr. Pepper at lunch time! I promise just 1 a day...that way Kim (Northern Disney) won't have to worry about me being hyper at midnight! Would that be okay ladies???

I have my old Weight Watchers books I'm going to bust out! I have workout DVDs now to just get myself out of bed an extra 30 minutes!!

Okay quick question for some of you....I have never seen Wishes or Spectro is it worth a party of one to view..I'm debating putting it into my schedule and don't know if I should or not??

Ooh, I would say definitely YES! You would not need to stake out a spot for Spectro way ahead of time...as one adult you could see most of the parade from whatever spot (along the parade route, of course) that you happened to find yourself in. But I would definitly plan to be at the MK at the right time. As for Wishes, you don't even need to be in the MK to see it. We watched from a place near the ferry dock at the TTC--I think the even had the music there, though I'm not positive. But definitely worth seeing!

Everyone has to see Wishes! :goodvibes It is so magical. It's not so much the fireworks (you can see good fireworks just about anywhere) as it is the narration and music that goes along with them!

You're too kind but keep in mind those pics are from 2001 and 2004!!!! :rotfl:

Thanks for the happy bday wishes everyone!

As far as exercise, I just finished chasing 3 kids around outside- does that count?

Oh, well I'm sure you still look very young!! :goodvibes

And yes, chasing kids always counts as exercise! :rotfl:

Peach3s~ Love your story!!! I am so proud of you!!:flower3: How did this come about? Do you just apply as a missionary and get a full-time position? Very cool!!! God is good isn't He?!?!?! What is your weather like over there?

I was on this track since I was 13 with a brief desire to go to NYU to study theater. ;) Our church, The Christian and Missionary Alliance, has workers all over the world. I spent time in Gabon and Mali, West Africa as well as Croatia working at a refugee haven while in college. Those trips all confirmed that I was called to live and work overseas. So, we went through many years of training, including ordination for Scot and consecration for me (similar to ordination but I do not carry the title Rev.) We both finished seminary, then we had to work in a US church for 2-5 years. We stayed for 3 before coming here. Scot was also the coordinating Chaplain of all religious services in a maximum security state prison in PA. That was interesting!

So, that's how we got here. :thumbsup2 Right now the weather has turned chilly. I'm guessing it was in the upper 50s today. The wind was blowing and it rained during the night. The fall is usually pleasant in Jerusalem, needing jackets in the mornings and evenings but the kids still run around in shorts when the sun is shining. The rains came early this year. We didn't have rain since April and it hasn't been raining during the last 4 years until October. It's good for the olive harvest.

There's music and narration? How do they do that? Can you hear it pretty much throughout the park? Sounds wonderful!

First off, you are doing such an amazing thing over there.

And yes, music and narration is played throughout the park on speakers. Very neat! :cloud9:

I am off to take DS to preschool. While he's there, I've decided I am going to walk until it's time to pick him back up. I have a PT appointment first and then I'll walk.

I have a WW points book and points calculator that my SIL gave me. I will start that, too. As for what I have been doing for exercise, there is a great gym that I belong to that is for women only. They have classes like RPM (aka spinning), BodyPump, Body Attack, as well as a ton of other things. I can't always get there because my son really dislikes their child care.

I am determined.

I'll check in later with you all!

Have you been able to get any good photos?

Not really. My camera takes awesome pictures IN THE DAYLIGHT!!! But not so much at night, they are mostly blurry. I'll have to see if I have any good ones. . .

I'm hoping Santa will bring me a new camera right before our trip!! :wizard: :santa:
