Is the best way to get that to book a AAA package (to get the room discount) and have them apply the ticket upgrade code?If you try to add tickets to the AAA room only I the room discount will disapper since then it will be a package and you can only book through AAA TA. You can have one or the other. Either the AAA room only discount or the package. You would proably be better off just converting you ressie(if you have it) from room only to the package. It also offers a little off room too. Not sure how much.

Or could Disney possibly offer more savings if I book a package through them (as I've heard people are getting discounts on rooms as well as ticket upgrades)? above applys here as well

Should I wait until Thursday to price it all out, or can a AAA TA or Disney CM price it out ahead of time (with the codes applied) so I know which is the best deal? You can call Disney for AAA room only rates but for packages you have too call A AAA TA.

Any clearer?

I just got off the phone w/Disney reservations and I got the water parks, Pleasure Island, Disney Quest included in my package plus $210. off the original rate and I'm not a Disney Visa card holder! Yeah! You guys should call them today because the reservationist said that after next 2 days they are expecting to be extremely busy.

I've already talked to a AAA agent. She said if I bought a package from her she could apply the code to get the "free" hoppers and I could keep my AAA room discount.

Does that sound right?

So in essence, I would get my AAA discount on the room AND get a free ticket upgrade.

I'm trying to figure out if the AAA TA is correct.

Yeppers...the savings was actually $214.07, not $210. so with that extra
$4.07 I can buy another dole whip! lol

omg! i dont have a disney visa, but know seeing this makes me wonder...

should i call and ask for the code today? should i wait till thursday for gen. public code?

it worries me that if i wait till general public code comes out, there will be no more discounts left!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a dinsey VISA but they did not ask for the #. Just letting the boards know!

They can tell it is a Disney Visa by the first 8 digits of the card number
A deposit should have been taken at the time of booking or the reservation will cancel out

I had previously booked a AAA package at Pop Century. This morning I went into AAA to apply the Visa discount code. While on the phone with my TA, Disney told her be sure to notify me to bring the Disney Visa with me, so I'm assuming I will have to present it upon arrival.

Just sent my TA an email asking if she can go ahead and try to apply the code to our package -- if not, I asked if she could apply it as soon as the general public code comes out. I have a ?? Since i booked through a TA, i wouldn't be able to call Disney directly and apply this code, would I????

DF and I already booked w/o a code and paid in full for 8 days at POR king guaranteed room,

The problem with the codes and King beds is that there are so few kings they are usually booked up without codes. To get a King we had to upgrade to AKL last year but the good news is with the codes it was only $400 more. Between the ticket savings you would get (almost $200) you wouldn't have to pay much more to upgrade if you felt like it to AKL or WL.

That is interesting, since I was told the Disney Visa MUST be used to make the initial deposit. You must have gotten lucky.

UGGGG!!! I just called CRO and was told that there was no availability at POP to apply the code to my ressie. We are checking in on the 11th and out on the 21st of Jan. Does the fact that we are checking in on a busy time (marathon weekend) diminish my chances of applying a code? She said that there was NO availibility at all at any value resort. Would I be better off making 2 ressies and hoping for the code to apply to the second one after the marathon dates??? HElP!!

I already had a reservation...just applied the code...Just to make sure, I just applied for a disney visa...totally worth the savings.
