Quick question....

I'm booked in the AKL for 9/27-10/2. I'm traveling with two other people who are staying in a seperate room. I told Disney that we were travelling together and that I would like adjoining rooms. The woman gave me the regular Disney speach about it not being guaranteed and all and that they would try to place us "close"...

Now, my question is, Has anyone ever had this particular request at AKL and how was it handled? Are my chances of getting rooms next to each other too lofty or should I just hope for the same floor? haha

What is offered on the Concierge continental breakfast and in the lounge throughout the day. We are contenplating a switch from BWV to AKL and I want to know what I will be offered in the lounge.

Also should I be requesting to be put on the 6th floor since the lounge is on that floor? We want 2 queen beds is that an extra request also?

Hi Briar*rose, Welcome! First you are going at the perfect time of year. IMHO, it is beautiful not too hot and still warm enough to enjoy everything. You did'nt mention in your post if both rooms had the same configeration or not, sometimes that makes a difference. During our stays we have always had a room that had an adjoining door to the next room. I myself have never requested rooms next to each other or adjoining/connecting. (I always get those two mixed up). I do know that AKL will do their best to get you close to each other. Depending on your situation you may want to request the rooms be connecting.

I would ask when you check-in if your rooms are near each other. Perhaps if they are not full up they will be able to make changes. It is a busy time of year due to the Food and Wine Festival. Have a wonderful trip and be sure to come back and tell us all about it.

Praise God he is home and safe. Now, I just can't wait to see him and put my arms around him. Maybe in September, they are in Northern Wisconsin.
