I've read alot about Cypress Pointe, and am confused on one issue: are there jacuzzis in the master bedroom/bath of the 2-bedroom villas at Cypress Pointe, or only at the Grand Villas?

Thanks to anyone who can clear this up for me; search is down right now:)

I'm 99% certain they're in both...why no put 'Cypress Pointe' into google or yahoo - and have a look at the Cypress Pointe website itself! :)

Why? Because:

a)I have been to their website (which is cypresspointe.net, btw), and although they do provide a nice chart comparing the amenities of both phases, they fail to include information about the jacuzzis (or at least I could not find it).... thus my current state of confusion.

and

b)I was looking for some firsthand experience from the helpful and friendly folks here on the DISboards:)

Anyone know?

On the website floorplans, it's easy to see the odd, triangular shape of their inroom, double jacuzzi tubs. Comparing the 2BR portion of the 3BR lockoffs in each, both Phase I (original CP) and Phase II (Grandvillas) appear to include them. I haven't seen both phase interiors for myself but have read that both were very similar in layout and amenities.

Yes, it is easy to see the odd, triangular shape; but could that not also be the Roman tub they advertise? We don't know, because it is not labeled. They advertise Roman tubs and jacuzzis; I'm just trying to ascertain which villas have the jacuzzi.

I think it is odd that this valuable amenity is not labeled on the floorplans or included in the amenity charts. On the Phase II floorplan, the linen closet is even labeled, but the jacuzzi is not.

I, too have read that both were very similar in layout and amenities. To be sure, tho, I was hoping someone with firsthand experience could confirm the jacuzzi in the 2BR villas at Cypress Pointe.

Thank you, tho, to the both of you who have tried to help so far.

Their website lists this phone number for Customer Service:

Yes, I saw that also. There are many ways to obtain the information one wants. I chose (as I've said several times already) to seek the information I want from people willing to share their own firsthand experience; after all, isn't that what these boards are for?

Anyone care to share?

:)

The BEST way to get the information you want to call the (toll free) phone number. People here can't tell you if ALL the 2 bedroom villas have jacuzzis, just the one they may have been staying at. I was looking at this property years ago and jacuzzis were shown in the floorplans (this was before phase II was built) I agree with you, the fact that they aren't showing it in the floorplans would lead me to believe that there is no guarantee that ALL of the units have working jacuzzis.

Sorry if my help isn't good enough!!!

I've just had another look on the 'Sunterra' site - rather than the Cypresse Pointe site (I found the Sunterra site via the google search engine!!! ) and this is what is listed as amenities for the 2 bdroom suite at CP (NOT GV).......

2 Bedroom -- amenities
FULL KITCHEN WASHER DRYER
QUEENSIZE BED TELEVISION
CABLE TV SATELLITE TV
PATIO OR BALCONY SCREENED PORCH
AIR CONDITION CEILING FANS
JACUZZI ROMAN TUB
VOICEMAIL ANSWERING MACHINE TELEPHONE
MAID SERVICE

I'm sorry that you haven't had a reply from someone who's been as of yet, but I do think there are ways of requesting help........

Everyone is different. I like to do a little research first before I call. I gather information from as many sources as possible. That is why I visited the cypresspointe.net website and the sunterra.com website, and asked for firsthand accounts here. Then, if I still cannot find an answer (or am unclear), I can call, educated with some background information in reference to their website(s). It's just how I prefer to do things. I consider it being an educated consumer. I don't like relying on one source for information, even though it may be considered THEE authority on the subject; kind of like how you can get several different answers from disney reps when you call CRO. I have had experience with this very issue in the past when I called a hotel directly (not Cypress Point) and was given false information. If not for these very DISBOARDS, I would never have known I was misinformed by the hotel staff until I checked in (too late).

Correct. However, if only one person replies that there indeed was NOT a jacuzzi in their 2BR villa, then I have an answer, and I need to decide if I want to accept the possibility that there may not be one in my villa, if I should choose to rent with Cypress Pointe.

When we stayed at the Grand Villas last year and toured the CP (Phase I) on a timeshare tour, there was a jacuzzi in the unit we toured. Not sure about all though.

When did I say that? You helped me by referring me to the website. I had already done that before I originally posted, could not find an answer, and subsequently posted my query here.

Thank you.

(I found the Sunterra site via the google search engine!!! )

I found it too, by plugging in sunterra.com.

So, the 2BR villas have both a jacuzzi and a roman tub? I was under the impression that the second bath had just a regular bathtub. Or, does the Master bath/bedroom have both a jacuzzi and a Roman tub? Regardless, it was/is unclear to me from the unlabeled floor plan and above listed ameneties whether there is both a jacuzzi and roman tub or jacuzzi or roman tub in the 2BR villa. Thus, my turning to the DISboards for clarification.

And I did so, repeatedly and most politely, I might add.

Was this a 2BR unit? Did it have both a jacuzzi and a roman tub?

Did I say how much I appreciate your replying to my post, snoopy? Could you please, please, please answer my additional questions?:)

Has anyone stayed in a 2BR unit and not have a jacuzzi?

TIA for helping.:)

The unit we toured was a 2 bedroom and it had a jacuzzi tub. I believe the Roman tub can be found in the 1 bedrooms at CP Phase I.

I don't mind answering any questions that you have. I searched high and low for differences between the two resorts and found that the websites were not completely thorough in explaining what the ameneties were for each. I read on one of the websites that CP had upgraded all of its VCRs to DVDs, that turned out to be inaccurate information, at least when we were there the unit had a VCR only.

Okay fair enough maybe I took what you were saying the wrong way - so I apologise for my less than friendly message! :)

I put it down to the language differences - it's strange how, even though it's supposed to be the same language, there are BIG differences........

Hope you find out the info you need - I've found that there aren't that many people who've stayed at CP - as opposed to GV - so I hope you get the stuff you need. To be honest, if you need/want a particular fixture or fitting, then I agree with Lewisc, if you get no joy from the DIS, ring the resort direct.

Anyway Good Luck with you request and I hope you have a good time whenever and wherever you go. :)

I agree, there seems to be alot of inconsistencies regarding CP. They list jacuzzi and Roman tub as the ameneties for a 2BR villa, however, as you've said, the unit you toured had only the jacuzzi. My thought is that they probably list both because some 2BR units have a jacuzzi, and some have only the Roman tub.

To make things even more unclear, hotelkingdom.com doesn't list the jacuzzi at all for CP, only the Grand Villas. I realize that hotelkingdom.com is not to be regarded as the sole source of information regarding CP. However, considering how strong a selling point a jacuzzi is, it does seem odd that they wouldn't include it in the description on their website; unless, of course, they can't (i.e. if not all 2BR units have one)

Thanks once again, snoopy. I value "word of mouth" (or, in this case, "word of keyboard";) ), whether I'm shopping for a physician or only for a place to stay.
