It's a Jolly Holiday with LL. *FINISHED* Final Update on pg. 58.

Right before I left for vacation, because I had done a zen with a quote from the Three Amigos, I could NOT get My Little Buttercup out of my head. At all. Went around singing it and it was so bad my DH even told me enough already. :lmao:

My lil' sis and I LOVED that movie so much---and that scene in particular---when we were younger, that we memorized the entire song and dance---and would reenact that scene all day long!!!! My poor mother!!! :rotfl: :lmao:

Day 2. Part 6.

We wandered a bit and decided to stick around Liberty Square for Spectromagic. I was very excited about Spectro and really couldn't wait to see it. As we were wandering around we couldn't decide where to sit.

Another castle photo op from the bridge.

What did we come across? Two wonderful, beautiful white rocking chairs on a porch right near the parade route. We scooped up those beauties very quickly. You know when you spot something across the way and then you get all panicky that someone is going to get there before you do? Well I raced over to those rocking chairs in a manner that was quick yet trying not to attract too much attention. No easy feat in Disney. During Free Dining. When you know 50 bazillion DISers are there.

Our view from the porch.

I don't know if this was timed or just a coincidence but after sitting there for about 3 minutes, the porch light was turned on. It was so sweet and nice to be sitting with my new husband waiting for the parade to start.

I tried to do a stitch assist picture with us on the porch but alas, I couldn't get it to match up right once we were home. So now you have two odd pictures of us on the porch.

I didn't take that many pictures of Spectro because I was recording portions of it. Which I still haven't uploaded. Sorry!

Very few photos. I feel like a failure. I loved the parade and had the Spectro music stuck in my head for days. I just really thought it was well done. I am glad I finally got to watch it. My favorite parts were the Little Mermaid characters and the fairies from Sleeping Beauty. Sadly, no great pictures. I am working on the videos!

After the parade we went to the Riverboat area to get EMH bracelets. We walked onto the Haunted Mansion. There were a few annoying teenagers in our group and one kept trying to freak me out during the stretching room. I know it wasn't the CM because I know to watch those sneaky little buggers. It was the kids. Towards the end of ride, all the vehicles stopped. For about five mintues we are sitting in the cemetary scene right before you exit for the hitchhiking ghosts. There was one of those stupid popping up faces right next to me. After the 100th time it pops up, I freak out on the 101st. I let out a scream. Seriously, the thing kept popping up but apparently I only had a 100 time threshold. DH is still teasing me about it. Soon we were on our way.

We headed over to Adventureland and walked on Pirates again. I still freaked out at the drop and DH still laughed at me. One of those pirates really looks like Abe Lincoln in the jail scene! At this point we were tired. Exhausted was more like it. We walked to the Castle Hub leisurely.

Marc and I sat on a bench. It was enjoyable. We sat there, staring at the Castle and it was nice to just be there. I thought of a lot of things, how different my life is then from what I thought it would be growing up, how lucky I am, how much I love my husband, how I was happy. It was a great feeling to feel all those things while looking at the Castle. I was in my happy place in more ways than one. We sat there for around 20 minutes just enjoying each other and enjoying the Disney magic.

We hit up two different photopass photographers on our way out.

We decided we had enough of the MK for now. It made me a little sad that we didn't take advantage of the EMH's more but oh well. That trek from Main Street to the Pop bus stop is L O O O O N G. I thought we were never going to get there. I looked towards the boat stop and the WL bus stop with envy. Wishing we were already staying there. Luckily there was a bus already waiting and they were waiting for more people so we were able to board. I was able to get a seat and Marc stood. There were some very nice ladies on the bus that we were able to chat with. Makes the bus ride go by quicker. Only at Disney do you start conversations with complete strangers. They noticed my Birthday Button and that is how the conversation started.

Once we got back to Pop, the pool looked so inviting. We changed and went for a swim. There were about 4 or 5 other people in the pool at this time. It was really nice. The pool became the place that Marc and I would sit and chat about our favorite things of the day and also about our plans for the next day. This is where we tweaked a lot of our plans. After our swim, we showered and went to bed by 2:30AM.

Phew! Day 2 is complete!

Who joins us for lunch on Day 3?

How many days were you there? Because I don't want your report to end. :goodvibes Ya'll were experiencing some serious Disney magic. I'm so glad that ya'll had this awesome experience. I can't wait for my trip. It is just hubby and I.

I can totally picture this in my head, because I'd do the exact same thing! We you looking around too, all nervous, checking to make sure no one was racing you for it?

(In a LL stylee):yay: ME ME pick ME
:lmao: I would have so picked you if you were there. :goodvibes

We were there for 7 nights/8 days so at the rate I am going it will last a long time. ;)

Yes! That is exactly how it felt. It was in slow motion too, like I was never going to get there. :rotfl2: I even remember telilng Marc not to look obvious. Apparently I was worried there was going to be a rumble over the rocking chairs.

Chelsea loved the fish, and I loved the fairies.

Did your Ghost Host keep saying, "Playful spirits have interrupted our journey" over and over and over?

I am very impressed that you were able to stay up so late -- we would never have been able to manage that!

1. In some ways I don't mind getting stopped during HM, because then you get to sit back and take in some of the details---but then that unavoidable creepiness takes over and you get VERY spooked!!!!! I feel your "pain" dear---feel your pain!!!!!

2. I have SO done the same thing about trying to nab something that you don't want someone else to get----oh how my heart begins to race!!! We have sat in those exact same chairs---a great place to watch Spectro!!! Oh how I love the music to that parade---I wish I could figure out how to get that as my ringtone!!!!

3. I am so glad that you guys took the opportunity to sit and relax and enjoy the "just being there" moments!!! As you know, we always take advantage of some just chilling out time in the parks--especially MK--and it is just a nice way to savor the magic!!!

4. The late night swim sounded WONDERFUL!!! What a great idea!!!

As much as I am an obsessive planner when I go to the parks, I love the moments when you can just sit and take in the Disney atmosphere. Its so enjoyable to just think "I love it here." I'm so glad to hear you fit that in! :goodvibes

HOW can you say you feel like a failure when you snagged those primo seats?1?:worship: I have that filed away for future trips. That looks like an awesome location.

Love you description of your "bench time" with DH. :goodvibes

More great photos in this installment!!:thumbsup2

A late night swim sounds divine.

NICE job snagging those rocking chairs :worship:
:goodvibes I was quite proud of myself especially since it was spontaneous!

The late swims were some of the best moments of relaxation during our trip. I think we both looked forward to them at the end of the day.

I was happy to have some of these during our trip.

Who? Who???

I love all the pictures. You are a great photographer!
Thanks! :cloud9:

The rocking chairs were the best. I am not a huge fan of sitting on the ground so they were just perfect. I couldn't believe people were lined up on the curb but NO ONE was sitting in the seats!

Did you miss my post, LL? :(

Oh carp! I am so sorry! I even called Marc while I was at work today and asked him if he could remember what they were saying when our doom buggy was stopped. He couldn't.

We were really tired but we knew we could sleep in the next morning. We had a lot of late nights at WDW. Probably why I was so tired when I got home! :rotfl:

That's okay -- I just didn't want you to miss my witty comments! :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

One day maybe my family will be able to stay up late.

I just got back and caught up on your trip report! I have to say I think that I took hundreds of castle photos as well. It is just so beautiful from every angle. I can't wait to read more!

I think Marc and I are just night owls but then again I like to get up early and not waste the day so I just get no sleep! :lmao:

You are back! How was your trip!? I can't wait to hear about it. I finished the Twilight series this week. All I have to say is Oh. My. God. So good!

That's really sweet, and I LOVE that pic. I can't wait to see that @ MK. I'm still in disbelief that I must've walked past the same statue at Disneyland a gazillion times during our trip in 2006 and never even noticed it. :sad2: It will be something I probably tear up over.
