I’ve watched Graham many times and he seems to be a pretty smart dude, but this video goes to show how hard it is to understand DVC & how they don’t see the difference from other timeshares.
Also the video he is reacting to seems to not understand much either.
The comments are even worse on how ignorant people can be.

Do Not Watch if trying to talk yourself into DVC. lol (a ton of misinformation)

Both reaction videos are terrible and appear to be in bad faith. There is a lot of information in the original videos (mouselets, ...) that is being distorted. They are completely mixing up irresponsible spending (people buying DVC who really cannot afford it), the lack of a functioning resale markets for most other timeshares and a general 'timeshares are always bad' attitude with DVC itself.

100% agree both reaction videos are done in absolute bad faith. It is similar to generalizing that buying a new car is absolutely a poor decision for every single person.

I love how he generalizes Disney timeshares. Shows a screenshot of AKL selling for $110 / point then goes on to say that people are giving their timeshares for free then shows an image of Marriott timeshares selling for $1.00

Goes on to say that he would want to go to Disney every 3 year at most but doesn't recognize that Disney timeshares can be optimized for such that they can be beneficial for a person who only want to visit every 3 years with banking and borrowing points.

Ignores the market value of cash rate vs annual dues and average annual yoy changes for both. Ignores the resale market and purchasing DVC through resale. Ignores the flexibility of the program to use in other DVC resorts or through international interval. Ignores the rental market and the net profits from doing so. Falsely states that Disney DVC employs traditional timeshare high pressure sales tactics.

Both go to shame people for their hobbies and entertainment of choice being Disney.

I urge people not to watch these videos and not contribute to their ad revenue. The only source of wisdom here is the general message that you shouldn't spend beyond your means and go into debt for vacation / luxury purchases.
