Day 3. Part 2.
After a short bus ride we had arrived. I love Hollywood Studios. I love the old Hollywood feel, I love movies, I love Disney, it doesn't get much better for me! We went through the bag check quickly and we were in the park quickly, there were no lines at the ticket gates.
I spotted quite the handsome man that I just had to get a picture with for a special DIS'er....'s.....daughter! Hehehe. For CP and her DD!!
Marc looked at me like I was nuts, so did a lot of other people in the vicinity but I couldn't help myself. I felt so at peace taking the photo with Mr. Coca Cola. I thought of all my DIS pals and their vacations that they had shared with me and how I couldn't want to share my disney trip with all of them. Ahhh...warm fuzzies.
After my moment with the wooden man, we took some photopass photos.
I wish I had thought to move my bag. Oh well! I just realized I have been forgetting to update you on my shoe status. After wearing my sneakers on the second day....I never wore them again. They were not comfy at all. My Mary Jane
crocs were much much better. I was so bummed that I had only brought my green ones and not my purple ones too. Again, oh well. You live and you learn.
To me, The Great Movie Ride IS Hollywood Studios/MGM/That Other Park/Whatever. I adore The Great Movie Ride. So that is where we headed. I was determined to get a picture of the Carousel horse from Mary Poppins. There was no one in line, NO ONE. I couldn't even pause properly, Marc was rushing me through the queue. Grrrrr.
Grrrrr. So we get into the large theater type thing where you watch movie clips. The CM's come over and they start making the line longer as people are piling up. No biggie. Marc is freaking out. Marc doesn't freak out. I guess he really wanted to ride this. We probably had to wait 4 or 5 minutes to get to our tram.
Our Tour Guide was meh. He didn't speak english well which didn't translate to a great ride. He was trying hard and you could tell he enjoyed his job so I give him an A for effort. I was really hoping that we would get the Mobster who took over our tram but alas I got the Cowboy...again. Who was worse than our Tour Guide.
I love the end with all the movie clips. LOVE IT! After the ride, I was determined to look at the hand/foot prints outside. I was so glad that I did. I had a moment.
That's when I spotted it. Words escaped me as I flung the camera at Marc. I didn't care that people were looking at me as I got down and put my hands in.....
......BILLY JOEL'S HANDPRINT. I was so excited. I love Billy. Yes, we are on a first name basis. In High School, I wanted to marry him. I know this is wrong on many levels but I adore him. Still do. People were looking at me like I was crazy but I didn't care, I was with Billy. *Sigh*
After my brush with Billy, we decided to mosey over to Toy Story Mania. On the way I spotted a display of memorabillia from the grand opening of Mary Poppins. Of course I took pictures.
Finally we made it over to TSM. 90 Minute wait. No thanks. We didn't want to be late for our ADR.
This is the only picture I took in the TSM area. What is up with that? I must have been all verklempt from my Billy encounter.
