Is there a mall in Anaheim?

There is an outdoor mall called the Block at Orange, and it is relatively close to Disneyland. You can get there either by freeway or by surface streets.

There's also the Village at Orange, at 2200 N Tustin St zip code 92865

Has a JC Penney and an Subway (that's all I remember inside), and a cute outdoor sitting area that we saw as we walked by. It was a bit of a hike, though. Only went b/c we had to go to JCP (long story).

also the garden walk which is pretty much next door. not sure how filled it is at the moment.. some locations like the bubba gump just opened back in nov/dec, but it should be filling up pretty quickly, depending on when you go

Is it a good mall?

Oh, and thanks! :thumbsup2

I believe it's a Westfield property if you want to do a search.
Anchor stores are Nordstrom, Macy's and JCPenney.
Pretty typical suburban mall fare.
It's certainly not as upscale as South Coast Plaza (Costa Mesa) or Fashion Island (Newport Beach)
But it's also much closer to Disney... about 6 miles.

We went to main place last time we were in Anaheim (November) and it was perfect. It had lots of stores and everything we needed. Our hotel (Howard Johnson) had a car pick us up from our hotel, drop us off at the mall and then pick us up when we were done. I think it cost us around 30$ round trip with the hired car. It depends what you're shopping for I suppose but I would recommend main place, it we found everything we were looking for.

What exactly are you looking for? We usually go to Main Place for the food court. My wife likes Paradise Bakery for their salads and cookies (better than Mrs Fields in our opinion). The Block tends to be populated by teens and twenty-somethings, but has quite a few interesting restaurants.

Well, to be honest, girls, mostly. ;)

And a Borders (or Barnes N Noble, or B. Dalton) bookstore...:)

I'd say you want The Block.

The Block has a Borders. Near the Borders is a trendy bowling alley that seems like a hang-out. There's also a Dave & Busters that has a bit of a party atmosphere.

Maybe I am wrong but I think it is right down the street from RI maingate on Clementine, may be a mile at the most. There is a map on their web site.

Main Place is in Santa Ana on Main Street visible from the I-5. Mapquest seems to want to call it "Westfield Shoppingtown Main".

You might be thinking of The Block which I now see is actually named "Block at Orange" and which Mapquest can find with just that name.

Cool, thanks. I did a mapquest, and it doesn't seem very far away at all. That's good. :woohoo:
