Is Ellen's Energy Adventure worth 45 mins?

We call it Ellen's Naptime Adventure. I am pretty sure I HAVE NEVER STAYED AWAKE FOR ALL OF it. lol We don't do it every trip but if it is crowded and it's hot and we are waiting for a fass pass time.... we might ride it.

I think it's worth the time if you have school-aged kids - it's a little corny and a little dated, but still fun with some educational stuff thrown in, too. We typically watch it once every trip, on one of our last days in the parks right before it closes for the day. :)

There's 3 things on my never again list: Ellen, Kali and Captain EO

Please note, I've never tried Stitch based on advice received here. :)

It's absolutely terrible...more than "a little" outdated and extremely boring. Seriously, good luck staying awake. I did love the animatronic part of the "ride" and wish the whole thing was just that part. I love Ellen DeGeneres but I couldn't stand to be stuck on that attraction. Once you're in, you cannot leave. I would only do it if you are in need of an air-conditioned break in the dark.

Generally I also always say "try everything once," but 45 minutes seems like such a long time when it takes so long to see Epcot already. We'll get to it one of these days...

I got dragged to Cats. We were in the 3rd row. I fell asleep and I'm told I snored through the entire show. The characters come into the audience after the show to greet people. They did not seem to like me.
I'm picturing you with your face painted like your avatar snoring in the third row and getting nasty looks from the cast while onstage....heh heh.

It's worth it to me! It's a good time to relax and rest the old feet and have laugh or two. But, I don't look at WDW as a marathon run. I take my time and enjoy without wondering what I might be missing someplace else.

We've never taken the time to see this show. Is it worth it? 45 mins seems like a long time commitment. Will it keep the kids engaged?

This is the ride I rode after Mission Space Orange. 45 mins out of the September heat and enough room to lay down until the world quit spinning. Haven't rode Mission Space or Ellen since. :crazy2:

Then your Dis name is very appropriate. :p

(just teasing)

It is a great place for a nice cool break from the extreme heat outside and we enjoy it. We love how the dinosaurs look real !

I remember the first trip with the kids years ago. This was before TT and MS, and it was unusually hot in the parks. (My memory is hazy, or my trips mixed up, but we would have already done Soarin' earlier in the day and weren't into doing Maelstrom. And it was a couple of hours after doing the Chip 'n Dale Dessert function.) Anyway, It's mid-afternoon, and we decided to go in to cool down. Best decision I ever made. Kids liked the show. DW and I liked the show. And we were refreshed and rested enough to tackle the rest of the day.

We still go there, even without the kids, when it's a hot day at Epcot. Same old show, same old spiel, and I'm still fascinated how they get all those large sections of seats to move and go along the tracks and turn it all into a ride.

However, I wouldn't complain if it was completely changed and/or updated to be 3D.

We've only skipped it once when I just didn't want to take the time. Overall, we enjoy it, and DH missed it when we skipped it, but I almost always fall asleep! I think it's worth a try, especially if you need a cool break!

It needs to be updated. Love Ellen & Bill Nye, but info is old. The dinosaurs in the beginning are cool but rest is pretty boring. Great for a break or nap, but if you have an agenda probably not worth the 45 mins.
