Is Ellen's Energy Adventure worth 45 mins?

We see it once per trip.
I think that it's a very creative and entertaining take on what could otherwise be a dry and controversial subject.

Its predecessor (the original Universe of Energy ride) WAS pretty dry and lacked audience appeal.
I preferred the older one. Ellen's character was just too... stupid. I'm not sure how else to put it. I'm a Bill Nye fan but even he can't balance out Ellens act. Whoever directed that should be ashamed of themselves.

In any case, we did it with the girls in 2013 I think, maybe 2012. Wouldn't do it again. To quote my girls "Why was she acting so dumb? What was wrong with her?" Lol. Yeah, it was just that disingenuous.

We went to WDW last year during a heat wave and it was 110 degrees daily and didn't rain at all. It was miserable. So while the Ellen ride might not have been the most exciting attraction we went on, it was one of my favorites. A 45 minute air conditioned break was greatly welcomed. And if you've never done it I'm sure you'll be entertained enough for your first time on it. But as others have said, if you're pressed for time, it might not be worth it. We usually spend 2-3 days in Epcot so we have more than enough time.

The attraction is bad. However, this is a great place to take a break or even a nap!

Sounds like you were there when we were around the second week of August. It was dreadful without the mid afternoon showers. That is the first time we ever took our kids into Ellen and they couldn't believe how lame it was. But they said, at least we got to cool off even though we couldn't wait for it to be over.

My DD who is 12 doesn't like it. She finds it boring. I like it and it's a nice break when you're tired and it's hot.

I always put this on our list when planning, but we have yet to actually ride it. 45 minutes just seems like such a long time, we always end up skipping it. I am determined to ride it this trip though!

Exactly which most kids are believe it or not - parents assume their child can't sit in anything educational becuse they can't.

If you've never done it... do it. It's kinda a rite of passage. I just went on it again after a decade of not seeing it and it was ok. Manage expectations and go for it. If it ever goes away you'll wish you would have done it.

My whole family loves this ride! When I asked then how long they thought this ride was they said about 20-30 minutes and were shocked when I told them it was 45 minutes. This ride is a must do for us every trip. The ages of my kids and grandkids is 34-9.

We do it every trip to Epcot and enjoy it for all the reasons mentioned. I don't know why so many people feel everything has to be updated constantly......what is so "old" about that ride? Jeopardy is a hit TV show, she's a star, what's the issue?!?!?!:sad2:

Does Haunted Mansion need to be updated?
Anyway....

It's our favorite place in Epcot to take a nap - it's never really crowded so it's easy to lie down and stretch out on the benches in the car.

Great ride to take a break from the heat, to wait out a thunderstorm, to take a nap...That said, my kids always love this ride.

Just got back from The World last week, hadn't been there since 2007 and I insisted my family go on. Husband, 3 daughters 24, 22,19. They weren't happy with me because I did in fact fall asleep. lol
