Does anyone know if the ride is closed? I am going next week and I will be so disappointed!

Yes it is closed for refurbishment. We were disappointed too. It is slated to be closed for another nine months or something like that...apparently quite a bit of work was required. Sorry for the bad news :(

Im sorry but it is closed and will be closed till next year. Its going under major rehab.:(

Ohhhhhhhhhhh! I am so sad! I am bringing a friend and her son along on their 1st visit and was looking forward to riding it with them. :(

Right there with you!!! I'm still not sure that "it's broken" is going to work with our dd when we go there in Dec!!!

Not only is IASW closed, but a major portion on Fantasyland is boarded up for construction. With all those green walls up, it did take away from the ambience.
IASW was in desperate need of refurbishment. When I was there in '02 there was no singing, just music...it was a sorry sight.

:(

Sorry you are so disappointed but it really was in desperate need of refurbishment. Hopefully it will be better than ever when it reopens next year! Hey, it's a reason to plan another trip right??

As much as I hate to see it closed, it really does need to be refurbished. I can't wait to see it when it reopens though!!!

DISUNC...what can you tell us about the green walls in Fantasyland? Where are they? Is it around the lagoon they're draining?

Yup, the lagoon, IASW, and next to it....I am not sure what was there. But if you stand facing IASW to your left and all the way to Liberty Square. About 2/3 of that one side of Fantasy land is GREEN WALLED.

I hope this is clearer? sorry to confuse you. :)

Oh, I know where it is, duh! That is where they are draining 10,000 Leagues. I miss that old ride. It was a favorite when I was a little girl! I wonder how long the fence will stay up.

Sorry, I'm not with everyone else. I don't think I have riden it's a small world since I was 12 years old. Once is enough for my family.
