Newbie here. :goodvibes My last DL trip was in 1993 with a friend. My DD12 and I are trying to add onto a work trip to San Diego, a side trip to DL. We would leave San Diego the afternoon of Sat, July 19 and have to come home :sad1: on Tuesday evening around 5pm from the Orange County Airport. Will this give us enough time at DLR to really enjoy ourselves and see most of it? We did 8 days last year at WDW and did not have anywhere near enough time. I'll be having lots of questions if I am able to pull this planning off. :cool1:

The 6 of us like to do 4-5 days to make it easier on ourselves. DLR is much more compact than WDW. Much depends on what you want to do based upon the attractions that you ride/see and the day of the week you go. You will find mnay opinions here about this very subject. Good luck with your planning.

How many days are you spending in Disneyland? Because there are now 2 parks, one which will be totally new for you. Oh oh oh oh and the new Pirates layer on Tom Sawyers Island as well :thumbsup2

But like mentioned above, Disneyland is much more compact then WDW and there is less traveling time EX: Down Town Disney is basically a step out of the Disneyland park and about a 30 second walk to your right.

There is ALOT and I mean ALOT to see at Disneyland as like WDW your senses become overloaded especially if your used to WDW and your trying to compare what rides are better at which park, like the Haunted Mansion.

People on these boards will tell you it takes a good 4-5 days to relax and take it in without much of a rush. So although you can buy 8 day hoppers and thats what I usually do, you really can see it all within about 4-5 days. I just like tagging on those extra few days to go back and resee things I really wanted to see again.

Three days is considered a minimum. Sounds like you will have about 2 1/2 days which will probably feel like not enough time. But you will still have a blast. Ideally you should four days IMO.

Wow, thanks for all the input! Since I am already in push the limits mode, I will have to add at least one more day on. Any other opinions are still very welcomed:goodvibes
