Is 12 nights too long?

We go for 14 nights in the spring EVERY year and it's always great. I find this our most relaxing vacation. There is time to relax and lay by the pool. We go several times a year, usually for 10 days in the summer and 10 days in the fall, but this is our most favorite time. We do rent a car and sometimes will go to the other parks, but not always. We visit the grocery store often too, mostly for bottled water and fruit. We will be there this year May 3-17, All Star Music/perferred. We are empty nesters, but do take the grandson for 10 days in the summer. He never gets homesick at all.

I LOVE our June trips because we stay longer than 2 weeks. It is so relaxing because you can do what you want.

We usually split our stay between 2 resorts. It makes the trip seem even longer. This June we will be staying at 4 different resorts--courtesy of DVC!

You will have a great time!!!

If you don't have AP's, they are definitely worth it for a long trip

I would LOVE to be able to do this...someday.

If you have AP's , I would break up your touring with days of rest.
For example:

day1- mk until parade
day 2- mk after parade until close
day -3- Epcot -WS afternoon till close
day 4- rest
day5- ak
day5- Epcot FW
day6- MGM morning
day7- rest
day 8- mgm parade till close

dreamflight99,
How lucky to spend 5 weeks per year. If you ever need a baby-sitter, tutor, driver, adult child, friend, bodyguard... someone to laugh at your jokes or just make you feel smart (though going 5 weeks a year, you're much smarter than me!:p ). Or if you just need someone to talk to on those long disney trips... don't hesitate to contact me! (LOL) :bounce: :p

"Mark, as a matter of fact..." LOL! This summer, our sojourn is up to the 54-day mark! If I can stretch it a few more days...I'll break our personal record! We travel frequently (five trips since this past summer), but the Orlando one if the LONGEST! And to think we've done this for 15 consecutive years now...argh! I admire your sense of humor and wit. Grab your bags and join us...where shall I send the limo? :p

Let me see,

No, No and No...

We stayed 12 nights on our honeymoon and could have stayed longer. Our last trip in September was 7 nights and it felt sooooo short. Our next trip is 8 nights and I wish it were 12!

It is too long for me but only from a budget perpective! I have already informed my DH that if we win the lottery, I am taking up residence on the 14th floor of the Contemporary. Just make sure you buy APs and don't forget to have fun!

We have reserved a suite on the 14th Floor for 5 eves now. It began at three, stretched to 4...then last week=5. Before I know it, I'll be there a month too! LOL. ;)

The longer the better. You can go for three or four days and try to cram everything in and come back exhausted (but happy!), or you can stay long enough to spend some days hangin' at the hotel, shopping, sleeping late some mornings, staying out late some nights, etc. I think you also appreciate the attractions more when you don't do 30 rides in one day(although I've done the commando thing many times).

Our favourite length of stay is 13 nights. We are definite "park people" so we come home saying "gee ... we never did get to xxxx" -- my dream is 3 full weeks, but that will be a long way off! For our upcoming trip, we contemplated over the 9 versus 13 nights and it was my DH who made the final decision of the 13 nights. He is now an official disney freak in my family ;)

Enjoy ... Mary Liz

We're just back from 2 nights at BCV, 8 nights at GF Sugar Loaf and two final nights at BCV. We do parks in the am and rest or recreate in the afternoon with parks again some evenings. Not too long for us.

Heck no, we have been twice at 10 days. The more time the better, that way your not so tired when you come home.
