I decided to do a separate thread instead of in the chit chat so I can find it later. We spent a bunch of times going which trip was that. We drove down on Thursday. Traffic was nit good. Got stuck in Georgia in Forsyth County. We lost at least 30 minutes. The FL turnpike was a disaster. Completely shut down northbound due to a major pile up. It slowed the southbound side. Basically our normal 6 hours and 20 minutes was 7 hours and 20 minutes.

Just as we crossed into Disney, I got the text about our room being ready. The expo was the usual so quick in and out.

Need to head to my rundis meet. Will finish up Thursday in the next post, including pics.

The folks on the DIS runDisney forum are providing great updates, Kris. I read up on the 5k (power outage at the start line? ). I have not caught up with today's 10k updates. Peeked at tomorrow morning's weather - lows in the 60s which is warmer than I would like but I bet you will finish before the sun gets up over the horizon (or high enough to further heat the air). But should be dry.

Don't hurt yourself by pushing too hard but have a good time!

PS - got my new pair of running shoes. I'm doing a Half in late February and one in late March. I'll run/walk it but finish in front of the balloon ladies.

finishing up Thursday. We are in the main building and got our requested king bed. The room is at the end of the hall so not too noisy. I love the pics of Minnie, Mickey and Pluto on the wall.

Then we headed to the skyliner to get to Riviera. Dinner was at Topolinos. We had a martini at the bar, but they did not have dry vermouth, so it was gin and olive brine. Dinner was good. We started with riccatta and the Brussel sprouts. Both good and forgot to take a pic. For dinner I had the chicken sugo rigotini. It has a lot of mushrooms so kind of heavy but delicious. Bert had the squash agnolotti with a pork belly enhancement. Food was delicious but service was just ok. It did not live up to past experiences, but we were full.
