What have you done with the unlimited package? Did you buy one unlimited package for each person in your room that wanted to use it or did you get one "account" for your cabin and then everybody used the same id/password (knowing that only one person at a time could login)?

Just wondering what your experience has been...and what you've been told by the cruise staff. What do you think? Should it be per person or per stateroom?

I bought one unlimited acccess for our family and we shared using it. We really found that we didn't have much time to use it, but I'm sure we came out ahead of the per minute charge. Now I didn't ask permission or tell the crew member in charge of the Internet Cafe what we were doing, though I asked rather pointed questions about the internet name and password. The only drawback is if you have teens. Since Common Grounds, the teen room, has computers, your teen could be using your account to email the whole universe and you can't use your account in the Internet Cafe since only one person can use the account at one time. We worked out time sharing with the teens and that worked out fine. Actually I bought it more for them than me.

I believe it was always intended to be a 'per cabin' item and I'm basing it on the following:

When you sit down to login on the terminal, you use the first initial, last name, and cabin number of the person that the reservation was made under. For example, John Smith in Cabin 1234 would be 'jsmith1234' as the login name. I think the initial password has something to do with your birthdate.

I don't believe that they build ids for all persons in the cabin. I haven't tried it for my DW in my own cabin, but there was a couple in the Internet Cafe one evening having trouble with their login because the wife was using her name, cabin number, and birthdate. I suggested that they use the initial and birthdate of the person that made the reservation and it worked for them.

I believe it's the same intention as an AOL account (or any other ISP account), which is one account with family users, but only one person can be using the account at a time.
