I put the info in my itinerary, I am hoping to make it on the 11th.

Does it take 2hrs to go through the whole thing you think?
We have a reservation at MK restaurant at 4:50. Don't want to be late for that one.

It takes as long or as short a time as you want it to. The line right at 3:00 will be long, but once you are inside and get your treats, you can stay and play as much or as little time as you wish. You get the ornament when you leave.

Thank you!
I'm just wondering if 1hr is enough time to go through the whole event or if it's too short :)
I guess we'll have to do what we have to do! Thank you!

I forgot about the mixer! I guess I'll take the kids to it on the 18th. :) I'm heading down a week ahead of DH and DD14 so it'll be me and DD9, DS8 and DS6.

I believe that's the same night as the Christmas party too so it'll be a festive day for us!

I went to the DVC Merry Mixer in Epcot yesterday, November 27, 2012 and had a wonderful time. I don't think this first DVC Merry Mixer was as crowded because their were several standing only tables in the back unused. All of the sitdown tables were taken. They put up a two row queue this time outside of the main gate between the Cananda and United Kingdom pavilions and the outside line wrapped around to the United Kingdom side instead of the Canadian side. I don't know why.

Here is a photo of me leaving. It shows the convention building that you will see after entering the first main gates that you waiting in line. They checked my DVC Member card at the first gate and then again entering the building. I received my card and filled out the info for a drawing. They will contact you at your resort or email, I think. I didn't win. And tear off the voucher for a free rice krispy treat or cookie. It was snowing (fake) in the photo, but I can't see it here:

I really tried to rotate the photo, but my laptop and photobucket will not cooperate. I'm sorry.

Two photo ops with Mickey and Minnie Mouse and another one with Santa Goofy and Pluto. I did this first because the lines get long and the castmember also used my camera to take these photos.

I usually don't buy pins, but I saw these new DVC limited edition pins and one regular limited edition pins. Two of them fold out and are about the MK new Fantasyland. The other was a DVC pin.

Get a look at this super large pin. There is a regular pin on the top right side to compare the size.

And as I left, I showed my DVC member card and received another beautiful DVC Christmas ornament in a red velvet bag.

Did there happen to be any other merch available there? Anything DVC? I heard there may be Christmas items, but I figure they would items that can be purchased elsewhere, right?

Did each person in your party get an ornament as in previous years ? Did they write down your member number ?

They asked at the door on the way out if we were together. We received 1 ornament (I didn't want to take away an opportunity from someone else) No membership numbers were written down, cards were checked before entering.

I didn't pay much attention, but they did have a lot of pins. And I only saw to racks of Christmas stuff like t-shirts and necklaces. I'll pay more attention next Tuesday and take some photos inside. I am not a very good camera person, especially at night or fireworks or in dark areas like the DVC Merry Mixer. But, I'll try.

I don't know. The Castmember did as ask if I was part of the preceding group and I said no and then they asked to see my DVC Member card and they gave me an ornament. I'll ask next Tuesday. I am purely guessing that in the past they only gave one ornament per DVC Member card and not one to each family member or guests. But this is just my experience.

:confused3 ...and yet another year when the party is not during Christmas week. Oh well have a great time. :wave2:

In my past experience, they gave one to each adult leaving. My friend wants one too and it's her only chance to get one but I want to keep mine. :worried::(

Ray Sharpton, what nice pictures! Thanks for sharing! Wish I could go to one of the Mixers!

A couple of years ago there were reports that they were even running after people if they became aware that 2 people from the same group got ornaments.

Maybe that's why they boxes of them left at the DVC showcase place and I was able to pick one up during Christmas week when I asked.

Thanks !

I went to a Mixer when it was at the Cont and everyone of us got an ornament. I was with 4 friends who were not members.

My mother and I are going. We do not live in the same house, and she has her own card with her own member number. If they are going to be strict, we will just leave separately. I understand the point of it, but not everyone in a group lives together.

Did you notice any pin trading or vinyl trading?

It was great seeing Ray and DVC_John at the Dec. 4 mixer! I didn't notice anyone else I knew there though. We got to see Ray again at the Owner's Locker meet that night as well! What beautiful weather we had all week, and now I wish I was back there again, since we are in the middle of a blizzard here!

Diane, it was great seeing you and your husband again and DVC_John, too. You are always so nice and I really appreciate you waving me to your table so that I could see you folks.

They had a pin trading table as usual, but I didn't see any place to trade vinyl things.
