Info on Current SSR Incentive

Fell victim to the add on bug. (and we haven't even been home yet )
Just wanted to let everyone know that even though you need to purchase a minimum of 120 points to get the incentive, if your are adding on you can break that down into multiple smaller sized contracts. We did 3 - 50pt contracts. We have an April use year and did receive 2005 points. I didn't ask when the banking deadline was but will update when I receive the paperwork. I was glad I asked the question and figured someone else out there might want to know the answer too.

Congrats on the add on - you aren't the only one who added on before their first DVC stay, LOL.

For an April use year, the 100% banking deadline is September 30, the 50% is December 31 and the 25% deadline is january 31. No banking at all allowed in February or March.

P.S. For the first year, they sometimes will grant an exception to the banking rules for add on points. Ask your guide if you need one.

That's interesting, when I did my add-on, I wanted them to break it down into 2 contracts (55 points each) and they wouldn't do that and still give me the incentive.

Don't feel bad, we added on 3 times before our first trip home and I have the bug bad this time and want to add on again with the current incentive. We will be there in 2 weeks and I think I'll visit my guide!

I've got the add-on bug too and have been trying to be strong...but then this comes along and the idea of breaking it into 2 smaller contracts really appeals to me. Now I have to wonder how much time I have until the offer goes away.... It doesn't make it easier that I will be at Disney in 2 weeks!

I was worried about the same thing - but jumped anyway. My guide said that he had been told that a mailing was going out last Friday, 10/28 to inform members about the incentive. I expect that if they are spending money on a mailing that they would have to offer the incentive for at least a couple of weeks after it was received. I haven't received mine yet.

Have fun on your vacation. I'm trying to wait patiently until end of Jan. when we go next but I'm really not that patient.
