Well, welcome back, MEK!! You have been missed!! Lunch looked yummy- I need to revisit Le Cellier- I need to try that filet! I've never had it!:scared1:

Congratulations on finishing your kitchen! And, congrats to Brian for getting accepted to West Virginia!

Your Le Cellier lunch looked delish, I gotta agree with you though, Jen missed out on some really yummy mashed potatoes!

Beautiful pictures, as always :goodvibes

Well, welcome back, MEK!! You have been missed!! Lunch looked yummy- I need to revisit Le Cellier- I need to try that filet! I've never had it!:scared1:

Ahhhhhhh. Thanks! I have a few days off from work now, so I think I can catch up at home AND get back to my TR. I've never gone this long without posting, so I've got LOTS of catching up to do!

The Le Cellier filet is delish, but definitely sub with the cream cheese mashed potatoes. OMG! Love them. Too bad you can't get them to go. I'll definitely be stopping by for some soup in May!

Congratulations on finishing your kitchen!

Thank you! It's so wonderful to finally have some open counter space to sit at. We had some cabinets taken down permanently so we have a nice open space between the kitchen and the family room. It's great.

And, congrats to Brian for getting accepted to West Virginia!

Thank you! I think his first choice is Salisbury University which is part of the University of Maryland system, but he won't know about that until March. That's more competitive in terms of admission. It's also a bit closer to home. So we'll see what happens with that.

 Yes....she did! Love those mashed potatoes!

Beautiful pictures, as always :goodvibes

Thanks!

Nice update! :)

Your LC lunch looks wonderful! We have not eaten there in years and it's definitely time to go back!

I love the pics of Flat Mickey around Epcot. So cute :goodvibes

Congrats to Brian on his acceptance! :thumbsup2

Great news on the kitchen and the college acceptance!! Can't wait for kitchen pictures. I still haven't done anything about mine but I'm still plotting a redesign in my head. :)

Gorgeous pictures, as always. The Torontopolitan is good. And somehow I did not know you could order one at the kiosk outside! :scared1: This is good news. :upsidedow

Lunch sure did look yummy. Of course I am now craving cream cheese mashed potatoes at 7:30 am...

Love your pictures MEK, as always!

I have never eaten at Le Cellier either. Now that Jen has remedied that for herself, maybe I need to next time.

Wow, China is a hike from Canada. That looks like a cool ending to the KimPossible misison.

I'm so excited for my lunch at Le Cellier in January!! Did you enjoy the corn custard thingys? I'm toying with ordering those instead of the cheddar cheese soup.

I too can't wait to eat at LeCellier again!!!! That creme brulee will be mine LOL!!!!!

What gorgeous pictures of China...WOW!! I love the flowers, so beautiful!!!!!!!

Wonderful to see you back posting so I can look at all of your beautiful pictures. Our kids did the Kim Possible mission while my hubby and I took a seat near the International Gateway. From the looks of things, maybe we should have gotten our own Kimmunicator 'cause it looks like fun.

Yay, an update! :rotfl:

That prime rib sandwich at Le Cellier looks sooo good! I always get some kind of steak (usually the filet) there, but I think I might have to try that sandwich! :thumbsup2 And both of the desserts look amazing...I've always wanted to try the creme brulee, but I don't like maple, and isn't it maple flavored?:confused3

Where is that Torontopolitan? I have to get one of those!!!

Beautiful pictures of China! I really want to take a photography class, just because of your TR, to learn how to use a real camera and take fantastic pictures at Disney World! :)

I must thank you for not going to fast in my absence! It was much easier to catchup! :lmao:

What a lovely time you had in WS with flat mickey! I must say, that Torontopolitan sounds yummy! Not to mention, your lunch sounds insanely good! YUMMY!!!

Can't wait for more!

Nice update! :)

Your LC lunch looks wonderful! We have not eaten there in years and it's definitely time to go back!

Thanks!

LC was super yummy. I basically had the same lunch two visits in a row and the sandwich was a winner both times!

I love the pics of Flat Mickey around Epcot. So cute :goodvibes

Thanks. That Mickey really tried to get into some trouble that day!

Congrats to Brian on his acceptance! :thumbsup2

Thanks! He is very pleased.

Great news on the kitchen and the college acceptance!! Can't wait for kitchen pictures. I still haven't done anything about mine but I'm still plotting a redesign in my head. :)

Thanks! I love the kitchen. I am glad I did it before Christmas, even though it means I still haven't put up my Xmas tree. But I did start decorating tonight, so at least I am moving in the right direction. :rotfl:

Gorgeous pictures, as always. The Torontopolitan is good. And somehow I did not know you could order one at the kiosk outside! :scared1: This is good news. :upsidedow

Wait - there is something you don't know about the alcoholic beverages in the world showcase? Is that possible. :rotfl:

Torontopolitan is definitely on my list now since it has your endorsement!

Lunch sure did look yummy. Of course I am now craving cream cheese mashed potatoes at 7:30 am...

I think cream cheese mash potatoes can be eaten anytime of the day or night!

Love your pictures MEK, as always!

Thanks!

I have never eaten at Le Cellier either. Now that Jen has remedied that for herself, maybe I need to next time.

Really? :confused3 You and the family really must try it. Its like a right of passage. If it wasn't so darn hard to get an ADR. That's why I am now a lunch convert!

Wow, China is a hike from Canada. That looks like a cool ending to the KimPossible misison.

It was probably my favorite ending. I knew where it was going as we got further into the mission, but it was cool all the same.

I'm so excited for my lunch at Le Cellier in January!! Did you enjoy the corn custard thingys? I'm toying with ordering those instead of the cheddar cheese soup.

Jen actually had them and, yes, she enjoyed them very much. They looked seriously yummy. Well, considering you can get the cheddar cheese soup to go, I say go for option #1.

I too can't wait to eat at LeCellier again!!!! That creme brulee will be mine LOL!!!!!
:rotfl2: That's so funny because I actually think about you everytime I have creme brulee, since you are, undoubtedly, the creme brulee queen! :rotfl:

What gorgeous pictures of China...WOW!! I love the flowers, so beautiful!!!!!!!

They had so many beautiful glass flowers in the gift shop. It was really hard to go home empty handed!

Wonderful to see you back posting so I can look at all of your beautiful pictures.

Awww. Thanks! Now that I finally posted, I really need to catch up on everyone's TR. I hope I can read a few tomorrow! :thumbsup2

Our kids did the Kim Possible mission while my hubby and I took a seat near the International Gateway. From the looks of things, maybe we should have gotten our own Kimmunicator 'cause it looks like fun.

It was totally fun and it got even better the next time we tried it, thanks to a few adult beverages!

Yay, an update! :rotfl:

Finally, right?

That prime rib sandwich at Le Cellier looks sooo good! I always get some kind of steak (usually the filet) there, but I think I might have to try that sandwich! :thumbsup2 And both of the desserts look amazing...I've always wanted to try the creme brulee, but I don't like maple, and isn't it maple flavored?:confused3

That prime rib sandwich was fantastic and that's coming from a non-meat eater. I mean, I eat it, but I usually pick seafood over beef. It was fab. I could eat that every day!

It does say its a maple creme brulee, but I honestly don't remember it being overly "maplely". It was very sweet. I do remember that!

Where is that Torontopolitan? I have to get one of those!!!

It was the kiosk right outside of Canada. First time I noticed that myself. Looks super yummy and probably would have been incredibly refreshing on such a hot day.

Beautiful pictures of China! I really want to take a photography class, just because of your TR, to learn how to use a real camera and take fantastic pictures at Disney World! :)

Thank you! I do love taking pictures and I am happy that I have learned a lot more over the past year. Jen was really helpful with that. She knows her camera stuff.

I must thank you for not going to fast in my absence! It was much easier to catchup! :lmao:
:rotfl: Good one! :rotfl:

Now I need to catch up on your never-ending TR. I hope your last trip was fabulous. One more until May? Right?

I
What a lovely time you had in WS with flat mickey! I must say, that Torontopolitan sounds yummy! Not to mention, your lunch sounds insanely good! YUMMY!!!

Can't wait for more!

Lunch was soooooooo good and I am definitely getting a torontopolitan this May. I figure we will passing in that direction more than once! :lmao:

Congratulations on your completed kitchen!!! You must be thrilled :goodvibes I can't wait to see the pictures when you are ready :thumbsup2
Lunch looked delicious :) Jen's dessert looked beautiful but I guess sometimes pretty things don't taste good
Beautiful China pictures....great detail....I haven't seen the movies to any of the countries since probably the 80's :rotfl2: I am good :rotfl::rotfl:

Tracy

Oh thank god, she updated! Now I can stop hounding her at work about it!

I'm looking at your pics and thinking "I have that same one"! Wait until you see these! I do have some pics that will be KP mission spoilers so I'll leave those for the end and put a warning up.

China!

I also like the detailed roofs! Wait, roofs doesn't sound right. Why is it leaf and leaves, kinfe and knives, but not roof and rooves? Even hoof is hooves! I'll go with that, I like the detailed rooves!

And we admired this guy...

9-10_WDW_302.jpg

All while Flat Mickey rested.

9-10_WDW_299.jpg

We went outside and saw the Foo Dogs. The male is standing on a lotus blossum and the female is standing on a cub (which I often feel like doing to mine!)

9-10_WDW_297.jpg

Then there's the shop window that MEK showed you, and this is across from that.

Through the store, where Flat Mickey shopped...

And out again, over to the lagoon.

***Here are spoiler pics! I will be posting 3 spoiler pics, and I'll post them small so they don't take up too much room.***

Congratulations on your completed kitchen!!! You must be thrilled :goodvibes I can't wait to see the pictures when you are ready :thumbsup2

The backsplash is being tiled tomorrow. After that I will post pictures. I LOVE my kitchen. It is so wonderful to be able to sit at my counter and type. I never wanted to be anywhere near the old counter. This granite is just heavenly. Its probably the most expensive thing I have in my house. :rotfl:

Lunch looked delicious :) Jen's dessert looked beautiful but I guess sometimes pretty things don't taste good

I was surprised when Jen said she didn't love it. It really did look so pretty. Her whole meal looked fab, but I knew from previous visits that her meal would be too much for me to eat in the middle of the day.

Beautiful China pictures....great detail....I haven't seen the movies to any of the countries since probably the 80's :rotfl2: I am good :rotfl::rotfl:

Tracy

Well then, I think a visit to the movies is in order for you missy. I plan to spend lots of time in Epcot. I want to see every movie and show and do every KP mission. Of course, there will be lots of drinking involved with all these activities.

BTW - I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Christmas card. Thank you soooooooo much! :worship: I know I will recycle that one so I can use the picture again.

Having two wonderful days off from work has really done me a world of good. I am pretty much done Christmas shopping and my backsplash is being tiled tomorrow. Since my friend owns the company, he is doing me a huge favor by getting the installer in here tomorrow. I am psyched, because after this, the project will be finished. Well, except for one door that my contractor forgot to order. It should be here mid January. It's not a crucial door. It is actually a door behind the front on our ground level cabinets which allows us to access the corner. We would thrown stuff in that L shaped corner in the past and never taken it out again. Now we have pull outs and can get behind the counter to get the stored items. If you came into my house tomorrow you probably wouldn't even notice that it was missing, since it is camouflaged by our new bar stools. I just wish it was here because the rest of the kitchen looks so fab. We should have done it five years ago. Ok - well - enough of that!

Moving on to my next update. When I left off, Jen and I had just completed our second KP mission in China. We were having so much fun and we didn't really want to leave Epcot. We were finally getting used to the blazing heat and we were seeing details of the world showcase that neither of us had seen before. But, alas, we needed to leave. We had a party to get to and we were really looking forward to our upcoming DIS meet.

Here are a few pictures taken on our way out of the park. All the while Flat Mickey was saying, "I don't want to go. Please just another 1/2
hour."

I think we made a pit stop in the bathrooms here....

IMG_9237-1.jpg

I love this perspective.....

IMG_9240.jpg

Close up....

IMG_9239.jpg

For all the grief Mickey gave us about leaving, it looks to me like he crashed here.... That silly flat Mickey!

IMG_9235-1.jpg

I hate to leave you Epcot, but I will be back.

IMG_9241.jpg

IMG_9242.jpg

Can you believe I didn't take one picture of Spaceship earth on my way out? That's definitely a first!

However, I did take a ton of pictures on the monorail. I think I forgot that we had to change monorails at the TTC. So when I got on the resort monorail I started snapping away,

First the Poly....

IMG_9246.jpg

Then the wedding chapel.....

IMG_9249.jpg

Hold that thought, because of Day 5 Jen and I will be making an impromptu return visit to the wedding chapel and if you don't pay attention to anything else in our TR, you will REALLY want to stay tuned for this!

Bye Wedding Chapel - I shall return!

IMG_9251.jpg

Next stop...GF....

I love the quiet pool. So, well, quiet!

IMG_9252.jpg

Love the GF. I would absolutely love to stay there. I have always said that it doesn't appeal to me. But that all changed this trip. You'll see what I mean soon enough!

IMG_9256.jpg

IMG_9262.jpg

Lookie - Here is the Grand One!

IMG_9260.jpg

In case you were wondering exactly what my private running path looked like, well here you go. This first picture is actually the end of the path. It looks at the marina at the GF. So pretty!

IMG_9259.jpg

Here it is again from another perspective:

IMG_9261.jpg

Now here is the path in reverse....

I have to tell you that my pictures are totally out of order in photobucket. Yikes. I have no idea what happened.

But I also see that Jen has posted while I was busy writing this update. Her pictures look stellar. I am anxious to go back and look at them!

Up Next.......Many, Many pictures of the contemporary resort and then MNSSHP!

I am stoked you got a couple of days off work!! And that they did you some great good!

Love your photos and perspectives. Very nice work!

Enjoy your new backsplash. :goodvibes

It has been so wonderful to be off from work and it so refreshing to be sitting in my new kitchen. I once watched this infomercial about how its really important for women to be happy in their house. It really affects all their interactions in and out of the house. I completely believe that now because I feel so much more at peace now that my kitchen is in order. Crazy, but true!

More beautiful pictures of China! :thumbsup2 The KP missions sound like so much fun, I am definitely doing on my next trip!

I always hate leaving Epcot...it's my favorite park, so I go a lot during one trip, but if I stay away too long while we are there, I start to get crazy, there was one point on our trip last month where I was like "I NEED to be in Epcot!" Strange! I just love it soooo much!

I can't wait to see what you guys did at the Wedding Chapel! :cool1:

That's the quiet pool at GF??? Then what does the main pool look like? I have only been in the GF once, to see the Gingerbread house last year, but I'd like to spend some time walking around it, it is so beautiful and it was my dream resort when I was a kid...I'd love to stay there at least once!

I always look at your running path when I'm on the monorail! I always wonder why it ends the way it does! :rotfl:
