Inching My Way Closer to the Castle Final thoughts/future trips 4/2p90 The End 4/4p92

I had to laugh over your comment about the Gran Fiesta ride! We find it is a nice way to sit and digest our meal when we eat in Mexico! :thumbsup2

Love the Kim Possible update! I do think England is my favorite mission of them all! So interactive and cute!

Great updates!! Stunning pics as always. I think we are going to do a KP mission during our Dec trip. Think the girls will get a kick out of it. Yay for flat Mickey. Sorry he could not get his drink.

The KP missions are really, really fun. They are even better after a few adult beverages. I think your girls will enjoy them. I think Germany was my favorite and if you do it, you'll see why.

As for Mickey, he thanked me later for not allowing him to become a sloppy drunk!

What a fun set of updates with fantastic pictures and details I've never noticed before. And I spend a LOT of time in WS. :rolleyes1 Loved it!! :thumbsup2

We HAVE to do some KP missions this May. You will crack up - especially after a few adult beverages. Finding the details was what I liked most about the missions. They are definitely for everyone and a true Disney fan will definately find them entertaining.

Wow... I just read through 47 pages and you are on my dream trip. I love taking pictures of details. You guys are doing an awesome job!

:welcome: OurDogCisco! We are so excited to have a new reader and I am so glad you are enjoying our trip and our pictures. We really did have a fun time. It was such a different trip when two Disney addicts get together.

My kids did a Kim Possible mission last year, but you're making me think that maybe I'll have to do one next trip.

I loved them. Seriously! As you will see later in this TR, we actually changed our plans to go back and do more missions! This time in the evening with adult beverages. It really was a hoot!

I want to do a DISmeet with Flat Mickey. No, I'm not joking - he sounds like a lot of fun!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: The truth is - he really was!

I had to laugh over your comment about the Gran Fiesta ride! We find it is a nice way to sit and digest our meal when we eat in Mexico! :thumbsup2

That ride definitely has some uses and digesting a big meal would be one of them! Perhaps catching up on email and text messages would be another!

Love the Kim Possible update! I do think England is my favorite mission of them all! So interactive and cute!

How about the ending? I loved it! I totally did not expect it. England definitely had some of the most interesting clues! I am sort of partial to Germany. I was rolling when we got to the beer steins!

I love your Flat Mickey, he is so darn cute!

Your pictures of England are so pretty. That is my favorite WS pavilion, it is so pretty. :goodvibes

Great pictures!!! We have done most of the KP missions, but not UK! Now I will put that one on the list for the next trip!
Flat Mickey is ADORABLE!!! I hope he accompanies you on future trips!

I'm so glad you ladies enjoyed Kim Possible! You know we love it :goodvibes

Looking forward to hearing about your lunch! :)

Ohhhh poor, poor Flat Mickey....he was so close to The Cave and then he was whisked away :sad1: I think he really would have liked that hibiscus margarita too :rolleyes1 I have yet to do a KP mission too....May is looking good :thumbsup2 We should have a rule about drinking in the country that we are doing the mission :rolleyes1
Great pictures of Merry Old England. You know...I really think I would like to live in WS someday....move along from country to country :confused3
Looking forward to hearing about your best ever lunch :goodvibes

Flat Mickey is too cute!! He and Nobby should get together sometime and they could wreak havoc on unsuspecting peoples LOL!!!!

OOOH..now I want to do the KP mission in England! I have done Germany, but I would love to do England and see all the details there!!

Ugh that's too bad the cave was closed, those margaritas are the best! :thumbsup2 I'm sure Flat Mickey would have loved one!

I've never done a KP Mission, but now I'm kind of interested! Can you do any country?

Once again fabulous pictures! I've never noticed Tower of Terror in the background.

I've helped Danielle to do the Kp missions and they're cute but what I really want to do is do them by myself and not have to share. Is that evil?

I am still here! I just read your Segway update too, and it made me want to take that tour again! Joe and I did it back in 2006 and we loved it!!

We also have a GG meal planned for Feb/March so I'm happy to read a positive review of it! I love Mickey in his overalls. :cutie:

We still havent done a KP mission, but it's been something i have wanted to get to for several trips now, they look like a lot of fun! And i love how it makes you see parts of the country you might not have noticed otherwise!

Funny what those companions of ours can do to an afternoon or evening- or even trip!! I think Tate and Flat Mickey would get along VERY well, since Tate led us down the path of margharitas too. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I think that's the first time i have ever seen a KP mission in England- you took such GORGEOUS photos! :worship: They make it look like you had the whole place to yourselves. :cloud9:

Flat Mickey is very cute and he quickly grew on me. I somehow didn't take any pics in Englang. I must've though I "had enough" England pics, which is really silly of me.

Good! There are more to come, I promise! It's been 3 months since we returned and I can't believe we're still writing this. My memory is totally shot; good thing I took pics of everything!

I liked the KP missions, they were fun. MEK wanted to save some for her spring trip which means I have to go back and finish them myself at some point! I wonder if we should laminate Flat Mickey and attempt a return trip?

Neither can I! Now if only MEK would catch up around these parts and get to our lunch! I don't have any pics of the food and I really want to see it again, because it was SO yummy!

I have to admit, I don't even remember MEK going into the Cave! I have no clue where I was, unless I was perusing the glass shop, which is possible. I wonder how many people all ready do the KP missions with a drinking rule? I don't think you'd be the first!

Who's Nobby? I'm curious now. I think Germany was one of my favorite missions, but I love love love the Germany pavillion anyway!

The KP missions were a lot of fun, and a lot of people were doing them. I can't remember how many missions threre were... 7, I think? We did 4 of them: UK, Germany, Norway, and China.

I thought the same thing when I saw the ToT! How do you miss something like that over 16 trips? :confused3 Clearly, I was way too immersed in Epcot! And no, that's not evil at all :thumbsup2

I was not unhappy repeating the Segway tour, is was still a LOT of fun! And this was a new Segway from the the one I used perviously so there was something new to learn. I am a HUGE GG fan, consistently good food there, I think. I also love the atmosphere and it doesn't bother me that the room is rotating. The KP missions are very interactive with the countries, I loved that. I had never been to some of the places we went while doing the KP missions!

Now there's a Tate? How many imaginary drinking buddies are out there? I guess it depends on what you're drinking!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

We kept wandering away from each other, following a trail of scenery and snapping pics. I wish I had wandered off after her and taken some of my own! MEK is right, this was a great time of year to go.

What'd'ya say MEK? Same time next year?

I'm still here. :goodvibes

I wanted to get my TR wrapped up which I have now done so that I can concentrate on all of the others.

The pictures continue to be great.

Hi ME & Jen, remember me??? I am so sorry I haven't been around, life got kinda crazy  for a little while, but I'm back and trying really hard to catch up on everyone's reports. I just read about your Segway tour, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I can't wait to do one again, it was so much fun!

Glad to have you here! I understand about wrapping things up, eventually we'll get through *this* TR! Holidays and such have certainly slowed us down.

Yes! Of course we remember you! The question is - do we remember who MEK and D4D are? One of us here, but the other is MIA. Between the holidays, her son's college quest, and the kitchen remodel, MEK is definitely bogged down. I hope she comes back soon and posts pics of Le Cellier! I want to move on to our next KP mission and MNSSHP!

Thanks for holding down the fort Jen! :worship:

Believe it or not, I finally edited some pictures last night and I am ready for my Le Cellier post. I got tons of food shots (well, maybe you took half of them cause they're that good). Of course, I don't remember what anything is called.

I am also ready to move on to our next mission.

So, here's the scoop. My kitchen is done. I cleaned like crazy yesterday. The only thing that remains to be done is the backsplash, so I am going to wait to take pictures until after that is done. I picked out these cool bronze accents. My kitchen looks fab. It was really worth the expense. I love, love, love it. The granite is gorgeous.

I have done no Christmas decorating. Nothing. Zip. Zilch.

I have done "some" Christmas shopping.

Brian was accepted to West Virginia University. Yup - a big, huge party school. Well, at least he has somewhere to go. His other applications are pending. He is still a bit of a hand full at times.

Nick has his fine arts festival tonight, but perhaps I can get an update in after that.

Anyway - thanks again Jen! You Rock!

Well this update is officially a month (or more) behind Jen's. But it's never too late to restart a TR....Right?

So when I last left off Jen and I had just finished our first KP mission and now we barely had time to hoof it to Le Cellier for our fantabulous lunch.

Oh Canada...... This really is one of my favorite buildings in the world showcase. I love how it towers over everything. It looks so real.

IMG_9172-1.jpg

Every time I see this picture I think how yummy this drink (Torontopolitan) sounds. It could seriously make my list for May......

IMG_9174.jpg

The entrance to LC.....

IMG_9175.jpg

I love this pathway. Who doesn't?

IMG_9177.jpg

IMG_9178.jpg

Time for drinks. Flat Mickey was pretty thirsty so we let him share.....

IMG_9180.jpg

Before we left on our trip, Jen confessed that she had never eaten here. Jen is so hard-core Disney that I was seriously shocked. I knew she was in for a treat. And me, well I was due for a redo LC lunch. Why? Because last May's lunch was marred by the return of the evil D. This May was I was D - Free! LOL (I just crack myself up)

Jen ordered an app. Look how lovely this looks. What great presentation!

Lump Crab and Sweet Corn Custards - with Paprika Aioli $10.99

In case you want a second look......

IMG_9183.jpg

I decided on the

Chef's Favorites
The Chefs have chosen a few of their favorites so you can enjoy a truly exceptional Le Cellier experience.
Choose one from each category. No substitutions. $29.99

Appetizers
Mixed Field Greens
Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup
Spicy Chicken and Chipotle Sausage

Entrées
Shaved Prime Rib Sandwich
Grilled Angus Chuck Burger
Porcini Mushroom Ravioli
Maple Barbecued Grilled Chicken Sandwich

Desserts
Maple Créme Brulee
Canadian Chocolate Moose
Seasonal Sorbet

I was craving some greens so I selected the mixed field greens. Trust me, it was hard to pass on the Cheddar Cheese soup, but now that I know I can get that as take-out, I didn't feel quite as bad. And the greens were a nice choice. Good presentation and tasty.

IMG_9189.jpg

Oh, so you want a close-up. Here you go......

IMG_9188.jpg

Here is Jen's entree, the ever popular filet with risotto. Jen did not take my advice on the cream cheese mashed potatoes (best food on earth). Oh well, maybe next time.

IMG_9190.jpg

I had the shaved prime rib sandwich. Yes, this IS the same thing I ordered in May. And it was just as good the second time. In fact, I could eat more simply because I omitted the cheddar cheese soup.

IMG_9191.jpg

This sandwich is sooooooooo good. I normally don't eat prime rib. It always looks too bloody and too fatty for my tastes, but not this prime rib. It is perfect. I give it two thumbs up.!!

For dessert Jen choose the Le Cellier Mount Blanc Semifreddo - with chilled fruit syrup $6.99

IMG_9192.jpg

She said it was just "OK". It sure looks good, doesn't it?

I had the creme brulee. I Know you have seen pictures of this a million times, but here goes again.....

IMG_9193.jpg

Lunch was a success. The only distraction we had was our kimmunicator. It kept telling us that we had another mission to do. It finally turned itself off, so we had to get it reprogrammed when we finally left Le Cellier.

Kimmunicator reprogrammed, we headed forth to China. We picked that location for one reason - its the country that has the drop off box for the kimmunicator.

I was looking forward to China. I never spend much time there. I would have liked to see the movie, but we were far too busy saving the world. And Flat Mickey was right there to lead the way.

IMG_9197.jpg

He led us right to the terra cotta soldiers.

IMG_9196.jpg

He found a comfy chair.

IMG_9198.jpg

He took us to the foo dogs. This is the male dog with the round ball under his paw. This represents the flower of life.

IMG_9199-2.jpg

The female dog has a puppy under her paw, representing the circle of life.

IMG_9200-1.jpg

I love the detail in the roof, and since we were right there, well I had to come home with a few more pictures.

IMG_9204.jpg

IMG_9207.jpg

I also enjoyed our trip into the store. So much eye candy.....
