It'll be our first trip as memebers and we are excited that we'll get to try not just our home resort, but BW where DH keeps saying someday he'd like to add on.

We booked exactly 7 months out for a 1-bed at VWL. And I had to be really flexible with my dates to get what I wanted. Initially we wanted a longer trip, only got seven nights...wanted nine nights. But you know, if my biggest issue in life is that I couldnt get as many nights as I wanted at Disney World, then I feel like I am doing ok. So we took the seven nights and said thank you and left it at that.

Booked a 1-bedroom at BCV for the first week of October at the 11 month window.

Booked a 1-bedroom at SSR for 3 nights on points 7 weeks out for next week (April 15th). The CM told me it was the only one. No other 1-bedrooms or studios available at any resort for our stay. We were also able to book a studio at SSR for 5 days starting on Friday (April 18th) using cash with a DVC discount. This trip really had to be pieced together. But I sure didn't expect anything when I called.

We are typically booking 11 months out for the big ones...(ie. Christmas and New Year's). We did however, book in January for Spring Break 1st week of April. I did try to get Vero but no luck. So I took anywhere on WDW and OKW and SSR were available. We took a studio at OKW.

Booked a Savannah View Studio at AKV for Oct. 25-29, 2008 on Jan. 30th.

Booked a 1BR Savannah View at AKV for Jan. 27-Feb. 1, 2009 on April 3rd.

AKV is our home resort and I booked them both online.

We upgraded our second ressie above on 4/13 @ AKV to 2 standard studios instead of value. Got what we wanted with no issue.

VB OVIR booked in Oct. 07 for May 08 (seven month window)

SSR studio booked in Jan. 08 for Dec. 08 (eleven month window)

I usually book at the 11 and 7 month windows. No problems to date.

Booked an AKV Savanna View 1BR at the 9 month window - Feb. 08 for Nov. 08 stay.

Did not go day by day - just called and entire week was available.

Had to change ressie - needed to drop first two days and try to either add two days on the back end or shift to later in Nov.

Called back last Friday 4/11, 4 days before the 7 month window opened up and was able to add the two days on the end with no problem - MS said "Dropping the two days is no problem but we might have trouble adding the two days. Well, look at that, there's some more available, you can have your three days easily." To which I said, "Three? I only needed two."

They gave me the two and hopefully someone who was waitlisted got the two I dropped and the third on the end I didn't need.
