In Search of my Body...Not The One I ate...#3 "Crowning Goddesses As We Go"

Totally crazy day...which begins my "3 weeks from hell" stint....waaayyy behind on costumes, so I'll be busy sewing every minute available...

So much I want to say - apologies for not getting to everyone personally (again. sadly, I feel like it's becoming habit for me)

DAWN- continued  ....

PAULA - YIPEEEEEE

My exercise today:

40 minutes running on TM - steady pace @ 10min/mile
20 minutes stationary bike - "hill plus" course on level 15

Food: (I still can't believe how much food I eat compared to you all...)

B- kashi/blueberries/milk
Sn - protein bar/apple
L-3 oz turkey, laughing cow light cheese, lettuce, tomato on wheat wrap (I get the rectangle wraps from Costco - 1 WW pt...) & a fiber one bar
Sn - almonds
D- meatloaf, rice, steamed broccoli
Sn - mini wheats cereal & milk

I avoided the cookies, chips, ice cream...so that's a victory....

and I'm hungry now...hate to eat so late, but also hate to go to bed with a grumbly tummy....makes it so hard to sleep...bah.

Dawn - :surfweb:

Paula - Outstanding. :thumbsup2 Way to go!!:thumbsup2

Erika - Stanley - crap that is his name isn't it? - can cross the border if he has all his documents in order. He is allowed to travel internationally, eh? :rotfl: I'll show him my igloo and give him some caribou meat. :hippie: Oh, just joking folks. Lyz - I'll find some baby mukluks for the boy. :rotfl: ;)

But I guess she might not pick me if I can't even get his name straight.

[Now that you've had a few days to think. How are you and Kelly feeling? Is she aware she will have another surgery, or is it so far away it's really a non issue? Was the dr happy with her kidney function or do you need to do something different?

[I am much better and so is Kel, thanks. Yes, she is aware that there will be another surgery and she is NOT happy about it. But it is far enough away that she is no longer dwelling on it. She got a new Webkinz and a HSM Balloon and that helped swallow the news. And the doc was very pleased with the kidney function, so that is good. He was concerned, though, a bit the new issue. He is literally number one in the WORLD for this issue in kids and he has only seen this about 4 times. So that makes me nervous. (Boston Children's Hospital has the best pediatric urology dept. in the world and this guy, her surgeon, is head of the Dept. at Harvard Medical School, so that speaks volumes.)

Lyz - thank you for posting this. Erika - you've been on my mind. I don't know how you do it all. But then again, you simply have to, eh? You just have to. Sighing. I'm thinking outloudl here.

I was glad to hear about her kidney function. with everything.

What happens on AIM, stays on AIM. ;)

Lisa--thanks for the thoughts. I have I told you lately what an awesome addition you are to our little family? Amy--this goes for you, too! Love having you guys here. :)

Ok, just got some news which has motivated to me to get back on the wagon with a vengeance! Nothing Earth shattering, just big to me and that is really all it takes, you know? I am ON IT. I feel it, you know?

Back to work. Thank goodness tomorrow we have off. The kids and I can all sleep in. Needed. Word.

Well here's some frivolous news but fun anyway -

I was feeling really low today. And of course because I like pain :rolleyes1 I tried on an old dress from way back.

I've kept it because it's the kind that never goes out of style - classy then - classy now. Really I am about as far from a pack rat as one can get. Haven't used in/worn in a year - gone.

A sheath dress.....oh Liz is that the right word? Fashion girl please correct.

So it's linen and fitted. So no give at all. No playing head games kind of garment. It either fits or doesn't. And I didn't expect much. As in not fitting one bit. To show me I was right to be sad. I like to play stupid games like that. Can you say mental issues? I can.

And.....

Not only did it fit. It was loose in spots where it was never ever loose - bottom half. And more fitted up top. That means my body shape has changed as well. From exercising more - for the better.

And....

I swear to God when I wore this dress before I was at least twenty pounds smaller. So now I understand why I was babbling about university weight being around goal but feeling like I didn't know where 25/30 pounds was coming off. And being confused (even losing/fitter folks I always be "big"). This dress fits now. Fit then. Then being 15 years ago. Looser in spots now and I'm twenty plus pounds up from way back then. So fit and muscle are true. Heavier weight - smaller size. So bizarre to see in action.

But crazy lovely try on.

What happens on AIM, stays on AIM. ;)

Even if it's hysterical? I know. I know. As I pushed the submit button I realized I had made a big thread boo boo. But then again I could have edited but she's so darn fast on the highlighting. A girl can't fix her mistakes fast enough on this thread.

Thanks for your thoughts Erika. Appreciate it. Love this place too.

Lisa - I didn't even think about that. Yes, what happens at AIM...la la la, but some stuff is ok to cross over. I'm not going to deny my curiosity of the Canadian mukluk.

Oh and BRAVO on the old skinny dress fitting you better than ever. I'm so green.

E - I am so on it too. Why oh why have I been farting around for 10 months. This is why I'm overweight. Pure and simple. I procrastinate. I need one of those shirts that says "I was going to major in procrastination but I never got around to signing up for the class."

Looks like I'm the first poster. Nanny nanny boo boo.

Ok, off to the dreadmill. My new best friend.

Hey! Woo Hoo for the dress, Lisa! That is awesome.

And look at Lyz! Waking up the thread for the second time in a week! I slept in since the kids don't have school today. Unlike Steph's brood, my kids are sleepers--thank God. Over the week-end Cammie slept till 9:45! And the other two made it till 8:30. I'll take it. Today they were all up by 8, but that is still not bad considering most of my friends seem to have kids that get up at 5:30 or something awful like that.

Ok, off to start drinking water. Blech. Yes, I hate it.

Good morning....

OK - I am jealous of you all who get to take today off... Yes, I am stuck at work in an empty building... This place is kind of creepy when it is empty... There are rumors that the building is haunted, but I haven't seen anything personally so it you never know...

Anyways - I am seriously dragging this morning. Just want to go back to sleep right now - think anyone here would mind...

Have a great day everyone and a special thanks to all the vets out there... we owe them a great deal of thanks!!!!

Paula

Lisa - so awesome about the dress. Yes, a sheath. Very classic style. Can't wear it myself. Sad. But true.

I, too, an off today, but that is the story of my life. I'd love to be working. Alas, no work for a month now. It's not pretty, folks. Thank God for my sparkling wit and voracious reading. ;)

So, food yesterday:

Breakfast: Fiber one bar, one small apple
Lunch: homemade panini with lean turkey, reduced fat mozzarella, mustard and olive rosemary bread
Snack: 2 fiber one chocolate haystacks
Dinner: homemade whole wheat reduced fat pizza. Carrots.
Snack: haystacks

22 pts, but I had 9 exercise points so I didn't go over.

Exercise - spin class, one hour, strength training class, one hour.

I was going to spin today but my legs are sore. But I really want to try out a lot of classes and see which instructors I like so I have schedule that incorporates four days a week and that I'll go and do. Hmm.

There is no such thing as frivoulous news when it comes to weight loss....

I was feeling really low today. And of course because I like pain :rolleyes1 I tried on an old dress from way back.

Congrats!!! I love it when you pull something out that you think won't fit, and not only does it fit, but it is roomy... There is nothing better than that for your self esteem!!!! I think some fabulous new shoes and accessories are in order so you can wear your "new" dress out...

Hi all...

I wantedto let ya know that Baylor's procedure went well...a boat load of staples removed and a cast on his graft site...

Talked to Home owner - she will give me her agents number this evening...she has not spoken to them yet...

Chad and I are ready to strangle each other...not about Baylor...about other stuff but it is hard to seperate the two at times when we talk...

I think I posted I was up 2 pounds..but I will weigh again next week when I can get moving ...

Brakfast Lunch today is 1/2 turkey sand..1/2 chocoalte eclair and some pea pods, tomatoes and carrots...yeah...somewhat good but a tt he hospital beggars can't be chosers...and I miss the older 2 kids a lot...they are on their own taking care of themselves at a whole lot of lengths...so that makes me worried about homework etc...and good food...

I am sooo excited about December I cannot even begin to tell you...but it is a long time away yet...and a lot of money needs to be saved before then...so I need to have a Holiday botique at the home for some extra tupp sales...

Hopefully some of the medical compensation will be given by then because it is supposed to cover lost wages as well.

UGH....:flower3:

Some local businesses will be doing a fundraiser fo Baylor also I am just finding out...so that should help offset some of the medical expenses...

Reading on all of you...want to know more about Kel - E will try and call...

Thanks for all the well wishes and I a m a procrastinator as well Lyz...so much for being under 200 for Disney - now I will just be glad to go...

Thanks everyone for the lovely thoughts. It was a nice surprise. Especially since I was so hunting for a negative outcome from the experience. :lmao: ;)

]

Well don't be too green. I've never owned a skinny dress and never will. ;)

Oh well - get over it Lisa - we all come in all shapes and sizes and bones. Yes, I continue to show mental health issues by talking to myself. Don't I feel safe here!!!!!

But thanks Lyz. I didn't mean a thing by my AIM post. But thanks. I wasn't making any points. I was just teasing myself. I do that late at night. :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: .

Some local businesses will be doing a fundraiser fo Baylor also I am just finding out...so that should help offset some of the medical expenses...

Aaaah. That's lovely Dawn. :lovestruc Good to hear.

Paula - thanks for your thoughts on my post about the dress. Yes, it is important in its own right. You're right Paula. So thanks.

Liz - why can't you wear it? Because your top is smaller? and the dress is loose up top? Is that why? Couldn't you just get it tailored at the top. I'm asking because I think it would look lovely on you. I'm perplexed.

I'm a ruler. Sigh. A very thick ruler. No waist. But pretty straight up and down and narrow (looking straight on that is - not to the side though;) ) It's so funny. I would love to have more curves that way. Would love to.

I'm a pear shape, and sheath dresses just look terrible on me. Anything A line is great, but pencil skirts, sheath dresses, those lovely column dresses are all no-go's Never, ever happening.

Also, my waist is thin, so why not show that? ;)

I'm a ruler.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I read this and thought "she's a ruler? Like a DICTATOR? or a CZAR? or ??? " :confused3

I'm so easily confused :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

But I totally get it now. And I'm rather "ruler-ish" as well....with a little bit of a belly bulge.

OMG. I have GOT to figure out how to post pictures. Soon. When I get back from Cancun hopefully I'll have some pics to share.
