This was our "late day" as far as getting out of the room - late for us anyway, at 9:30 a.m.! LOL No breakfast plans today, just concierge stuff, which was fine.
I did realize, as I was getting ready, that there was no way we were going to have time to come back to the hotel to change for our Ca Grill dinner tonight if we wanted to do the Osbourne lights ... so I changed the PS to 7:30, still doubtful that I'd be able to work it out.

Since MGM's probably my least favorite park, except for a couple rides, we took our time getting there. I went to the Main building and did a little shopping, while Dave and Ev went over to the central lost and found. It's in the TTC area. He'd hoped he would have better luck in person re: his lost cell phone, but unfortunately, not.. We met back up in the Grand's lobby and caught the bus to MGM.

Evan walked right down to get FP with Dave, and I stood in line for some cookies at "Starring Roles" .. or tried to! I swear this is one of, if not THE sloooooowest places in all of WDW! I maybe moved 5 feet in 15 min! I finally gave up when Evan was back already. He wanted to do the GMR, so we walked on to that, and then headed back for the RnR FP, stopping to shop that street along the way too.
Ev got one of those Jack Skellington santa hats! LOL It's very cute, and he loves Nightmare Before Christmas! No one felt like doing ToT, so we skipped that; besides, it was getting to be close to our lunch PS at Sci Fi (Ev's choice) anyway, so we headed in that direction.

After lunch, we picked up some Millionaire FP and shopped and wandered some. This day, MGM was very crowded, and for some reason, when there are lots of people in MGM, it seems to bug me more than at other parks! LOL Wait lines for walk ups were quite long here, and in some instances, FP's were already done for the day! We WERE able to get into VLM without too much waiting though, and the same with the Animation - I was glad, 'cause I think it's been a while since we did those things.

As we were taking a little break, I came up with a new "plan" concerning the Osbourne Lights. Instead of killing ourselves trying to do that and get cleaned up for dinner and everything else tonight, we ended up leaving the park earlier, and will come back the following night, just for the lights, before dinner at the Flying Fish. Originally, we were going to do 'Ohana Monday night, but changed our minds.

So, it was back to the bus and the hotel to quickly change and freshen up for dinner at the Grill! :) Oh, one thing that disappointed me - no chestnuts at the Grand this year ::sniff:: that was so cute when they had the CM's in Victorian costumes doing that! But, I did get to see my adorable little older man greeter friend, all spiffed up in his Christmas outfit! :) We'd stopped by Sandy Cove to pick up packages .. or we *thought* we had to. But, as it turns out, even if you're Sugar Loaf concierge, you DO still get package delivery to your room, which is great! I read conflicting things about this, so thought I'd mention it. While in Sandy Cove, I noticed that the company who makes the Christmas ornaments, representing the different hotels? I think it's .. Barrows??? something like that?
Well, they are now making a line of items for the Grand! Cute keychains with that same picture/drawing that's on the ornament, and also pillboxes, money clips, travel wallet .. I think that's it. In fact, I also noticed these items in AKL, with their logo on them, too. Other new (to me anyway) items w/the Grand logo on them included a picture frame, AND a snowglobe, with a mini reproduction of the hotel in it! LOL I love it! (and yes, I got both <g> how could I not??) I *think* the one women's tshirt, that was in the Summer Lace store, was new too.

We actually got ready again so quickly that we really could have kept the original PS after all!LOL but, no big deal. I sure don't mind sitting at the Grill!
There was a different bartender there this time though! I've not seen him before, but he was very nice! In fact, while I *did* see some 'regular' servers who've been there a long time, like Eric and a few others, I also noted a lot of new faces .. or new to me anyway.

After a perfect dinner .. as always!!!!!.... we came on back to the room and actually crashed a bit early this night. Tomorrow was an EARLY day, and a long one too!

Glad to hear you enjoyed your dinner at Calif Grill - it is good there isn't - a fun day - thanks for posting!
