I'm Off To Disneyland, Going To Enjoy Myself This Time Around!!!

Ok, now it was Sunday morning, I woke up fairly early because I had PS at Minnie's at 8 and was just so excited. I got up early also because I was going down the street to the Fairfield Inn for the next two nights because my friend I travel with, her friend was coming down and I knew I would be getting up early, etc and didn't want to bother them. It was pretty chilly in the morning again, just like the night before but I listened to the weather and they said it would warm up. Yeah!!! But it was chilly start as I walked down Harbor to the Fairfield in to leave my luggage.....

I really enjoyed my stay here, would stay again too. I did take pictures of the room at this hotel but will post them later as this early I wasn't able to get in the room.

Next I headed down Harbor and to head over to DLR, it was chilly but I didn't seem to mind as I was just so happy. People were already starting to line up but was able to grab a few shots around before it got too crowded, I was sure to take lots of pictures of this letters as I was very sad to hear they are coming down, I am still hoping it isn't true, I really love these and was hoping to get to see them decorated at Christmas.

After what seemed like forever, they finally began letting us in the park, it was a little early, they opened the gates probably about 7:50, the park didn't open till 8, so that was good. I decided to grab a few photopass shots as I headed down Main St. to the Plaza Inn, no one else was bothering, they were all heading to their favorite rides.

As I made my way in to the square, it was great. I found some great photopass people on this trip, this guy that took these photos was great, he did some in front of the castle, and then he was like, the tulips look really pretty this morning so he had me pose by them, I really like the Tink shot he did by the tulips.

Look who I saw in Town Square, I also saw Mickey, Donald and Goofy but knew I didn't have time to do all their lines at this time.

I started walking down Main St, couldn't refuse a few more photopass shots, I had pre-purchased the CD so was on the lookout for these guys, plus travel alone, it is the best way to get shots.

Actually I just noticed the photopass photo of me by the Partners statue was taken after breakfast, sorry about that. I can tell because I have my Minnie breakfast in the park pin on.

I hope you get to visit DL sometime, it is so great and it is so neat to see the differences between DL and WDW. I am not sure why WDW doesn't make their pretzels in the shape of Mickey, maybe it is just a special DL touch, not sure.

Hi Lindsey,Thank You!!! That is my Mom's favorite picture too!!! I was kind of impressed with how it turned out, the photopass guy set it all up, he was really good that morning. He was just so kind and a nice guy.

Those jeans I actually got at the Disney store awhile ago, every now and then I will just breeze in there, I try not to because I like to save my money for the parks, but this day I was glad I did, when I saw them, I was just like they are so cute!!! They really do look like someone drew them on, people always think I drew on them but they actually came like that.

Ok, so after making my way down Main St. on a very chilly day, and was lucky in finding so many great photopass photograhers, I came to the Plaze Inn to start my breakfast with Minnie and Friends, I had heard mixed reviews about this chracter breakfast but thought I would give it a try. My reservation was at 8 and everything moved along very quickly, no waiting, paid, got my button ( I love the fact that at DL many of the character meals give out buttons, very cute touch) and was seated. That is when it became very crazy, there were so many characters in the area that I was in, and really no one around to help the characters, kids were getting up out of their seats and just running to the characters, etc. I was solo, I do not recomend this meal if you are solo, unless you just want to eat, however if you want photos, it isn't that great. I did manage to get some photos and have a good time, but I personally feel there is no organization to this character meal and the CM that was near where I was sitting, she wasn't very happy to take photos for me.

The food was excellant, enjoyed all of it, they have a great variety and it was all very warm and tatsy. Here is part of my breakfast. I am a big fan of the Mickey waffles, they are my favorite.

The characters were excellant though, I enjoyed them. Had a great experience with Tigger, he came up and sat down next to me, and we were talking, I think conversations with the characters are some of my favorite in life. So I showed him my Tigger tattoo and he was just so excited, the one picture below where you see me smashed between he and Pooh, he brought Pooh over to my table and actually got the CM to take this photo, I don't think she was happy but I thought it was so sweet of Tigger to do, here is the photo actually, pardon the look on my face, I know I look silly but I was just laughing.

All in all, Minnie's was pretty good, the food was excellant, I loved the different theme of the characters, and the character interaction was great, I would consider doing this again but probably with other people. Here are my photos that I managed to get, I think there were more characters but I wasn't able to get photos with all of them. Also these photos turned out pretty bad as far as the white face, etc. Not sure what was going on, but wasn't real happy.

That is pineapple and it was really good, all the fruit I had in CA was wonderful.

Thank you Cheryl, they do have some neat traditions at DL, I really enjoyed it. The buttons at the character meals were cool, I got one from Minnie's and one from Ariel's.

I must say I will miss WDW this year but I think I will be planning a big one there come next Oct. or Dec., I need to do a big FL trip and hit Universal and IOA too. Seuss Landing at IOA looks so cool, so bright and colorful, I am a long time Seuss lover and just went this past weekend to see Horton Hears A Who, it was really cute. Plus the new Simpsons ride looks cool, but I think that one will be in at the one in Hollywood when I go in Dec.

Ok, so I am finally back, it has been a crazy week but I wanted to get back on board with writing my trippie.

So after I finished at Minnie's, I was just so excited to be at the parks and have the whole day, and no schedule really. The best part was, the sun was finally starting to show through, yeah!!! It was a chilly start to the morning. So I headed back towards the castle and grabbed a few more photopass shots and then started walking around the castle and saw a photopass photograher and she said she was heading over to Nemo to do the new magic shots, so I went along with her, I couldn't believe it and she did the Nemo magic shots, that is what I had planned to do to start of the day was look for all the great "magic" shots I had heard about and here was by chance. I will post these so you can all see what they look like, my face is so funny in all of them, I was just trying to do what she was telling me to do, they are just a little silly. But here you go.

Then it was time to head over towards Rivers of America to see if the Captain Hook "magic" shot was happening and sure enough, I thought this one turned out pretty funny but in a good way.....

Next up was the HM ghost shot....here is mine, check out the HM "EARS", I was well prepared....

Next, I actually went to FL, and there was a photographer there and he was like, you can walk around and I will show you all the pictures that I can take, so he did, I won't make you all look at them, he took so many, for sure made buying the CD worth it, he took me all around FL, here are a few of the shots on the Dumbo. But he took a whole lot more, I just don't want you to have to live through them.....

Next thing I did was went back over to Rivers of America and went over to the island, I just had to meet Captain Jack and he was out. Oh my gosh, he was so wonderful. These pictures make me laugh, at first he just kind of stood there looking at me, and then he was like come here "luv" and put his arm around me, I was so giddy.

I forgot, before I headed over to TT to look around a little, I had to make my way back to Critter County, I just knew I had to taste one of those amazing Tigger Tails, boy they did not let me down, they were so yummy!!! They will for sure become a regular on my visits to DLR. Glad we don't have anything like that around these parts.

You actually got one that looked somewhat like JD! I've seen one around DL and he does NOT. One time I saw a CJS who I could have sworn was JD in the flesh and I got all jello-legged. JD is awesome but CJS makes my heart swoon

BTW, I lovelovelove the photopass pictures. I'm so glad I'll have some good pictures. Whenever I take a disposable camera there is always at least 2-3 thumb shots
