I'm a wander-er!

For fear of killing the thread again...

Here goes:

Christmas shopping? I've purchased 1 thing... :headache:.

[please don't let me be the last one... please don't let me be the last one... please don't let me be the last one... please don't let me be the last one... please don't let me be the last one... please don't let me be the last one...]

I'll kill it for you! Is anyone else concerned that we may have actually killed dunbarfamily? :confused3

I haven't done anything for Christmas. I have NO idea what anyone in my family wants. My girls are at that difficult age where they really don't want much that is actually affordable! Last year I went on Amazon and Kohls.com and did all my shopping there. It was great, everything came to the house and I didn't have to fight any crowds. Probably going to do that again.

Shopping, :headache: -- I have started, but have nothing for our kids yet. I have asked for a wish list, but you know college students--procrastinators! Over the past few years I have been able to get everything done on Black Friday--hoping to pull that rabbit out of the hat this year. I can't shop on Saturday (27th)--that is the Michigan v Ohio State game and with some luck our high school state title play-off.

My DH refuses to go shopping on Black Friday but I may venture out:eek:

I see you are a Buckeye! I am originally from OH. Southeastern OH. I miss it alot.

My DD8 was so easy to buy for for this year but my DD13 is driving me nuts. Some of her wish list items are super expensive:scared1:

Maybe they wandered too far and got lost??

Maybe! Hopefully they can stop wandering and get back here:yay:

I know... I'm slacking. I'm usually close to being done by now... :headache: I will be ordering the Cinderella Castle playset online tonight. Bug saw it in the parks and threw a fit because we didn't bring it home...

DS though, we're struggling. We know we want to get him the new Phineas and Ferb game for the DS, but can't figure out what else. I'm stomping for Harry Potter Legos... he's already got the Quidditch set and he's getting the Burrow from my SIL. I may break down and get Hagrid's Hut too. That should balance things out.

I dunno what DH and I will give the kids though... maybe some pjs, new socks, and something small.

I'm originally from the opposite side of the lovely State of Ohio--almost to the Indiana border -- fairly close to Dayton. If I lived in Alaska, I would be missing it too! :lmao: Actually, I prefer the weather there than here even though it is only about 3 hours away--sometimes it is a world of difference weather wise.

When kids hit that teen stage, they just do not get how the cost of their "toys" is so much greater and the number of gifts so much less.

Good luck with the 13 y/o.

DD10 still believes in Santa (or at least pretends she does, but I think she really does). I am honestly hoping that her friends let her know the truth because things would be so much easier if Santa didn't have to bring presents too! Very sad my baby is growing up so I can't bring myself to tell her. But I would be relieved if she came to me and said she didn't.

But then again, my sister and I figured out that as long as we kept our mouths shut Santa would keep coming!

I've been MIA from this thread lately but I wandered back over - yay!

Christmas shopping? Hmmmm, I haven't even started. I don't even know where to start honestly. I have 10 nieces and nephews and 7 of them are spoiled ones that don't appreciate my gifts so it always complicates my shopping. :dance3:

Sounds like they would be perfect candidates for a gift that begins with "A donation has been give in your name to _____________ " :thumbsup2

:rotfl: Love it. I can already see the look on their faces - kinda like the look I get every year but worse. :rotfl:

My son is 5 and all he wants right now are race car tracks with cars. I wanted to order some tonight but the shipping was $50:scared1:
I did find a cute Phineas and Ferb alarm clock on Disney SHopping that I bought him. Hopefully he likes it!

So are you close to wright patt? That's on our "dream sheet" for my DH's next base. But right now Alabama and Michigan are front runners.

We have a strict "you don't believe, you don't recieve" policy in our house;)

When I was still in OH, we lived about 40 minutes from Wright-Pat. I have taken my kids there to tour and they enjoyed it. According to TAPS, Wright-Pat is haunted. . .if you believe in that stuff. Wright-Pat was a field trip place while I was in elementary school. I hope your husband is able to effectuate a transfer at some point. Alabama would be lovely, too. Where in MI, Oscoda?

Holy shipping rates Batman! And to think I was upset last night that the shipping on the Cinderella Castle was $9!

Speaking of that Castle... dummy me can't really get internet over the weekends and assumed I could still take advantage of the 20% your entire order code yesterday... and no... I could not. I called customer service and begged to no avail. :(

Very cool about the P&F alarm clock! DS is crazy for them (was Phineas for Halloween this year) but it lobbying for, well, every toy on every commercial he sees. :headache:

A lot sleepy this morning. Let's see how many cups of coffee it will take to get me going!

Selfridege ANG is outside of detroit I think. A little nervous to move there with the economy. And I am ready to go somewhere warmer so I am really pulling for Alabama. And of course, Alabam is MUCH closer to WDW:banana:

Yep shipping stinks up here. It was free shipping with order of $99 dollars until I put in my address! I may ship it to my Dad's house in OH and have him ship it up here. It's probably cheaper that way.

That's still crazy!!! I did that with a camera I purchased a *ahem* few years back. To have it sent to where I was living would have cost $500 more. It was cheaper to have it sent to my parent's house, then have them send it on to me.

Me too. I'm eagerly awaiting tomorrow. HP7 anyone?? :rolleyes1

UGH. I so want this day to be over and it's only 8 a.m. The kids were all arguing this morning over EVERYTHING. Any little thing they could find they were arguing over it!:headache:
Then yesterday I received the wrong shipment from the disney store. Give them a call and they say it's no problem that they will just send out the right order. UNTIL this morning I get up and theres and email that says everything I ordered in now sold out and my order was cancelled:mad::mad::mad: I am seriously considering going back to bed:3dglasses
