Wondering if anyone else shares my sentiments, but I preferred the Illuminations from several years ago when they played music from each country and lit up the countries one at a time. How about you?

I do love the "Reflections of Earth" version, but I'm probably with you...the version that played music from each country as each was lit was the best. More in keeping with World Showcase theme. I'm surprised this millenium version has stuck around so long. The music is very beautiful, though.

I liked both, but I voted for the current. I think this show is so awsome, I could see it everynight! On my December trip I almost did because we could see it from our balcony at BWV. The fireworks are so amazing, I just love the ending!

I like the current version very much. Considering it is the only one I have seen :)

I don't know which to pick, because when I first saw the current version, I was disappointed at not seeing them turn on the lights at each country one by one and introducing them like in the old version. But I really like the music and everything in the current version.

new one...I'm OBSESSED with it...lol! The music goes perfect with fireworks and I just love it! :)

the old one has good music too(from all the different countries) but I love RoE

Loved the old version with Rhapsody in Blue....nothing like those first chilling clarinet notes belting out across the lagoon.

Ah, you're bringing it all back to me...Anyone know which CD has this version on it? I think it's at the Int. gateway shop where they seem to have tons of park music cds. It's got to be one one of 'em.

After seeing RoE for the past 5 years, I am more than ready for them to bring back the "Great Illuminations".

I also loved the way they spotlighted each country. With all the improvements made in fireworks displays over the past several years, they could take that show to a much higher level.

For those of you who never saw it, it would blow you away! :Pinkbounc It ended with the 1812 Overture. Being from the Boston area, that gave me goosebumps each and every time I saw it.

We prefer the one that played from 1990 to about 1995, with all the show tunes and the music they played as you were exiting the WS. None of them has been as good as that one, IMHO. :p

I agree! Bring back the old music and country lights and add more fireworks. Ode to Joy was my favorite part. Anyone know exactly which CD has this entire soundtrack?

I LOVED the old Illuminations. I have it on video but there is a couple talking and laughing through the whole thing so I rarely watch that copy :( Illuminations 25 was not as good either. I do love the music from ROE but the earth/globe thing lasts WAY too long and if you can't see it from where you are standing, it is like WHAT is going on now?? I can't see anything:)

The old Illuminations was good, but I definetly prefer "Reflections of Earth." In my opinion there is no comparison, the music and effects are amazing. I can't wait to see the show during my next trip!!!!

I loved the one they had for Dec. about 5 or 6 years ago.It had the voice of Walter Cronkite and featured a beautiful laser and light show that looked like angels in the sky.My family slowly moved away from me throughout the show since I was a puddle of weeping mess by the end.Without a doubt this was my favorite moment at WDW and the moment I think about when I want to "remember the magic."

That's a really tough choice... I love both! But I love the music from Reflections so much that I had to vote for the current version. I love the way the lasers, water and fireworks are right in time with the music. I don't remember that happening with the previous version. It always seemed just a little bit off, like the music and display were almost independent of each other.

Reflections of Earth is the best nightly show ever. The music, the pyrotechnics, the fountains, the pixels on the globe, and the fireworks make it the best way to end a day at Epcot.

i have seen illuminations every year since 1997 and I actually like both versions and when i voted I went with the older version as I miss the music from each country!!

I rather the old one when the individual countries would light up. I wish both shows could be combined in some way.
