Il Pochi il Fiero y Blabbermouths...Magical Reunion FINALLY!!!

First, why are you setting the float down? You are carrying it for a reason.....to let boats know there are divers below. If you set it down and get blown off of it you are putting yourself at risk.

You should be diving with safety first in mind. You can still explore the area with a float. It is more difficult, but safer. What would Red say?

Shallow waters are the most difficult to maintain bouyancy. 2 pounds can make a difference.

Um, because it was suggested since the float will not fit under the bridge structure once you get to certain areas. You set it down, make it "I" set it down, swim around what you are looking at and pick it up to cross to the next structure....otherwise you cannot cross under the support area and poke at little things. Your dive buddy can, but you cannot. I guess I could wait for dive buddy to explore and return, hand float to dive buddy, and then cross under and look and return to dive buddy?

If I am not going to set it down, and I am not going to go under the support area, then the float does not need to have a weight on it. That would solve the problem of the 2 pounds.

Must ponder what Red would say.....had not thought this was an unsafe situation, and yes, just because that is how everybody else is doing it, is not the right answer.....Although I did remember that Red says never to swim under and always to swim over, which means that I am taking the longer way around moored boats and lines.

Here is a link to a video - not ours. Makes me a bit dizzy - the first few seconds shows some of the stuctures I am trying to describe. But not the need ledge that I really want to explore next time.

I now return the rest of our blabbermouths to your normal cruise chat.

Tomorrow we will know for sure what day the baby is coming, so I'll come back and post again.
Right now a big ol' storm is coming through....they just said up to 60mph winds! I'm not sure I like Nebraska.

OKAY TOMORROW IS TODAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THANK YOU FOR THE HOOOOOOOT DAY

think I will work on hay

ONLY becuase I nEED too !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hoot day??? There are times when even I don't follow you. ;)

Baby will be delivered via C-section on Wednesday, the 11th at 5:00 pm.
He needs more time for lung development, but Megan can't wait any longer than that. She's getting sicker, but not so sick that they wanted to risk taking the baby this weekend. On Wednesday, she'll be 37 weeks along.
Hearing about all the numbers, liver function, kidney function, too high, too low, danger zones, etc....makes me think about you, Garry and your numbers and all that mess. Not fun. Not at all.

But....on the good side, we have more time to get things done. And I'll be able to get my xrays done here. And that little guy that is now running all over is just the most wonderful child. I just might burst with two of them here!

OHHHHH...... HOT.......nevermind.....I'm way too tired. :thumbsup2

Good Morning All.

Waiting for Stacey to check in.
:angel:Take care:littleangel:
I'm not Stacey - but things are on hold.... planning on letting the lungs mature - hopefully c-section Wednesday of next week, unless something else happens...

If it means anything, Alexa was exactly 37 weeks when she was born and she is 100% healthy! She weighed 5#8oz and was a little thing but healthy. Wishing Megan well and hoping this next few days are OK.

Got some news to share. I have a lot less stress than I've had the past couple of months. Layoffs are looming at my company and I was pretty sure I was going to be one of the ones cut (we're heavy in middle management where I am). Yesterday I was offered a job in a different department. I'm now going to be the cost analyst in the Accounting Department. I'm very happy especially when you consider what the alternative could have been. Plus it is a great department with great people and I get to learn some new software and some new skill sets. So no longer in management but it is a secure position and I don't have to look for a new company and start all over. All in all a very good thing and I'm happy.

Congratulations. You may find what Sharon has enjoyed for many years.....numbers are much easier to deal with then people. They show up every day and don't complain. :)

Thanks Virgil - I hope Megan is having a restful weekend, if that is possible.

This is good news Mary - Congratulations from me adding to the rest.

That's great news Mary!! Less stress is worth its weight in gold. I am keeping my fingers crossed that our agency survives. I work at a residential treatment facility for abused kids and for the first time in my 22 yrs there our census is down. Normally we run a waiting list. Lot of changes on the state level affecting us. Places like ours are dropping like flies. It is a very stressful time! I was hoping to leave there when I was ready. Who knows, maybe I still can. In the meantime, I go to work each day wondering what's next.

I wish you well Mary!

Thanks everyone! I'm really looking forward to learning this side of the business. Will have to adjust the budget a bit at home but we'll be fine. Good thing I just put another payment on our Alaskan cruise and that Aulani is paid for. In fact we were thinking of not buying into Aulani because of what might happen but I figured after last year life is way too short to not do some things you enjoy so we sold some stocks and bought it.

UTOP! PDFG and all our friends who need it!

echoing that - I was a premie - 2lbs 10oz Way back when....Sound like the dr's are watching both mama and baby carefully - Stacey, thanks for taking the time to keep us posted. I know you're busy with Ronan and anxious about Megan and the baby...

As of today, the baby is still inside where he should be. Megan went to her doctor for her (baby's) stress monitoring, and he wasn't moving, so they sent her to the hospital for better monitoring...that was yesterday. But apparently he was only sleeping, so all is well. She'll go again tomorrow, and hopefully hang in there until the scheduled surgery on Wednesday.
In the meantime, we've been getting the crib and all that other good stuff ready. I'm beat, but having fun with Ronan. He's really a good kid, it's easy to take care of him. And fun.

I'm seeing an orthopedic doc tomorrow, mostly for my wrist that is still really painful after my lovely fall onboard. I'm still certain nothing is broken, but once this happened to me before, the doctor injected it (my other wrist that time) with something (cortisone, maybe?) that made it never hurt again. So maybe there's something he can do this time. It's really tough to do much of anything, like lift Ronan, when it hurts like it does.

So that's the scoop for now. Checking back in later!
