DH HATES going to Disney.:scared1:..however we are going to check on FIL who has had heart surgery:sick:
FIL is home and doing well...so well he is taking us to the parks since he is a castmember we get in FREE:cool1:

DH said he would eat at ONE disney restaurant and it can't have characters....so which one would you choose? I planning on being in Epcot and Magic Kingdom on Sunday. I can't decide which to choose.....

Our best meal last July was at The Wave. Loved the tenderloin and desserts.

It's very un-Disney like...nothing cute or covered in Mickey heads.

Chef de France in Epcot for lunch.
Via Napoli in Italy for dinner.
La Hacienda in Mexico for dinner and Illuminations.

Second this one. I would recommend the Boardwalk too since it's a short walk from Epcot. Maybe the Yachtsman? New restaurant for me to try next month but the pictures look fabulous.

Hey there Vhartwell ... how's life treatin' ya? :goodvibes

My favorite restaurant on Disney property is at the Polynesian Resort which is just a short Monorail ride away from either the Transportation & Ticket Center or M.K. itself ...

Ohana for dinner is FANTASTIC! The food is very tasty and there is as much as you can eat! popcorn:: The food line-up that is brought to you has sooo many good things! A nice salad with a fruity dressing, yummy appetizers like lo-mein noodles, pot stickers, buffalo type wings, and a mix of steamed veggies containing mostly broccoli and snap peas. THEN you move into the main courses ... Pork, Steak, Jumbo Shrimp, and Turkey all cooked over a wood fire grill and brought to your table on giant skewers ... YUM! :goodvibes

And like I said, it's all you can eat ... no matter what it is! So if you or your hubby REALLY liked the salad or wings you could stuff yourself with just the salad or wings if that is what you wanted to do! Then the dessert is a large bowl of bread pudding w/ vanilla ice cream and a banana foster sauce ... I know what you're thinking ... Bread pudding? It is really good plus it comes with your meal so if you don't like it you really didn't pay extra for it! The servers are pretty attentive but there are times, just like in any other restaurant, where it gets super busy and they might be a little off.

There are NO characters here! :thumbsup2 There is a very nice woman who plays the ukulele and sings a little Hawaiian music ... and they do have a coconut race for the little kids ... but it is Disney after all so a little kid orientation is to be expected. :wizard:

TIP: If you can ... try to get a slightly later time and when you check-in request a table close to a window! When the fireworks at the Kingdom start they dim the lights and pipe the music from M.K. in and you can watch the fireworks from your table as you eat! And since I am assuming it would be just the two of you ... how much more romantic could you get!?! :flower3:

I certainly hope my suggestion helps! If you have ANY questions or concerns PLEASE ask!!!

I would do Tutto Italia personally but if you live somewhere with a decent italian resteraunt near you then you might want to do soemthing different.

Me I live somewhere without any good italian food that didn't get cooked in someones kitchen. Seriously we don't even have an Olive Garden and everything we do have is below that in how good it is (thus people from around here will drive over an hour to go to Olive Garden!!)

We are going to Tutto Italia twice in Sept...
