idea for non-DIS-Conners!

I posted this on the DIS-con board and got some interest, so I decided to post it here too since more people read this board. Like many others, I'm so sad I can't go to the DIS-Con this year. How about having us non-conners pair up with people who are going? The DIS-Conner can represent the person stuck at home and participate in the name of that person- ya know, telling other people the non-conner says hello, sending them little freebee items such as maps and itineraries, or anything else you can think of to allow them to participate in spirit. If I get enough interest, I can make a list or something. I like the idea of buttons for the DIS-Conner that say "I'm representing ______" or "______ is here in spirit" but I'm not sure how to do that.

Hmmmm....my trip to the park will slightly coincide with DisCon, though I am not an attendee (would like to meet some of y'all though!)

Nevertheless, if I were representing another DISer, could I do anything I wanted out of character for me and say I was only having fun for (insert name here) ?

I would love that! I'm heartbroken that I can't go to the DISCON, just because I would love to be a part of those events. Yes, I am going on the 14th, but... ssshhhh.... don't tell DH... I would rather have coincided our trip with the CON. Can someone "represent" me and I will in turn pick up anything they wanted/needed/forgot to pick up during their visit?

What a great idea! I was planning on going to Discon, but we decided to take our girls to WDW for New Year's as their Christmas present, so I can't go now. And, I am soooo bummed. This may take the sting out. Count me in, who will be my Discon buddy??? Huh, anyone, pick me, pick me!!!
