I was smart and quiet, knew very little about popular culture, and was actually on the quiz team.

That's me. I was also on the Chess team and was a member of the Latin Club. Super Nerd here, too. And proud of it.

I didn’t like partying and I liked computers. I kind of kept to myself. Although I did meet my wife in high school and she was also on the quieter side.

I too avoided straight A’s. She avoided anything less than an A. She got a 1580 on her SAT. I’ll just say that I got less than 1580.

I was a scifi and gaming nerd back in HS in the 80s. Met my husband when he asked me for a character sheet at a new D&D campaign so he could roll up a character. I'd say nerdiness worked out for me!

I was smart and in all the AP classes. The same 30 kids took all the advanced classes, so we formed our own little nerd group. We didn’t party, and all the nerd group dated within the group if they dated at all. My husband was part of the nerd group. i much preferred it to the popular group—some of those kids were pretty ruthless

I did start dating in High school but not until senior year.........and that is the only person I ever dated. Married him a couple years later.

There were some pretty mean kids in high school. Even some that I thought were kind of ok in hindsight were bullies.

Also I very much marched to my own drummer. After high school I left my nerd life in the rear view mirror. I liked heavy metal music and dated/married a guy who worked in a record store. The marriage didn’t last 2 years but I definitely left the stereotype behind.
