I ran over our dog...

If you really did run over your dog, I hope you really took him to a vet. If you didn't, I hope you give him to someone who will really take care of him.

I'm with you Princess_Aurora,
I'm appalled to see all the people that I used to think were kind and compassionate being so vicious!:( I think maybe the OP was in shock and really didn't know how to handle a 100plus pound dog. I hate to see ANYBODY attacked and treated badly on these boards.

Anyway, I'm really saddened at the responses from this board. So much for prayers and pixie dust!

Not speaking for anyone but myself, but in this situation, my compassion was for the dog laying outside all alone and in pain. :(

You right actually running over the dog may have been quite shocking for her…. Much more then it was for the dog….. Nope sorry, still not buying it….

And if being classified ad vicious means defending innocent animal then I will proudly wear a vicious tag!

But you're not defending the dog, you're slamming the OPer. You're ASSUMING that she didn't give a flying flip about what happened to her dog after she ran him over. When, in fact, she told us that she did call for help, waited for someone to get there to help her and had her dog taken to the vet ASAP.

So when you put it that way, you're actually not defending the dog...you're getting mad at his owner for actually having the dog taken to the vet.
