Thank you. I adore the orange males. They are sweet but mine have also been a little wacko (one would climb onto my headboard and bat and bang my framed pics just to wake me up in the middle of the night)! After my first cat died many years ago, I seriously thought I might need medication. My husband was so upset at how upset I was that he didn't bat an eye when I adopted 2 cats (Thelma and Louise!) to replace the one that passed. That was the beginning of our multi-cat household craziness.
We lost our orange boy, Marvin, about six months ago. I'm still mourning his loss, and I can't think about him without getting upset. He was the most wonderful guy. A pure joy. He showed up in our yard after his owners got a new dog and didn't even notice for a week that it had chased him out of the house. I sat on the back step, he immediately curled up in my lap and fell asleep, and I was instantly head over heels in love with him. He was 5, and his owners didn't even want him back. Their selfishness gave me my boy, so I can't hate them. Actually, I can. I hope they don't get tired of their dog and have it run away to my house.

And for the record my credit is over 800 so you can cram it lady!
This cracked me up!!! :rotfl2:

Oh yeah - I absolutely think it's a good idea. :) I'm just not going to make my wife angry and risking losing player 2 in the game over it haha. I think when I can put some added "purpose" behind it she won't think I'm committing fraud or doing something illegal :rotfl:
So this builds credit, right? I'm about to get an AU for my ds to use on the FU,since that'll be an an easy 1.5 for every dollar he spends

as for cats.... I'm sort of looking around for another kitten..... I have one amazing, sweet perfect old 'baby' that doesn't know she's a cat,she behaves more like a ridiculous dog..... and I will be devastated when she's gone (she's 17) I want a younger cat around too...but I'm looking purely based on that rare personality,I want another sweet baby!(I mean, she comes when she's called,is crazy lovable, and follows me on walks, what else does one need?)

I ended up with a cash rebate of $10.35 (?) I think they gave me the 1% of the full amount, not the sale price on points....

How much did you spend?
$1035. spent would be 10.35 at 1%.
$103.50 spent would be 10%.

Well, you are not looking for my female cat! Phoebe is full of personality, but won't cuddle, only comes when it is something she wants, slaps the heck out of Richard who is 1 and 1/2 her size and knows exactly what you are saying to her so don't even try to fool her. Our male is what you want and he's an orange that we adopted from the woods.

Phoebe is a Persian.

On the flip side our female kitten (well, a year old now) follows me everywhere and seems to have one goal...to be in my arms. So you never know who you'll end up with!
But I think the common thread here is that orange males rule and that's who @hsmamato2 should adopt. :)

That's my dogs personality... :rotfl2::bitelip::confused:) she's a chihuahua mix,'nuff said!

Daughter got the offer on her SPG authorized user card for Lowes 10 of 50. Now, I will use those $150 in gas cards for my Florida trip, in addition to using her Disney card for gas, although I may also rethink this as I get 4% on gas with my Citi card...decisions!

I am going to be in Florida up until the 24th, so I gave it no more thought. But was watching the news and heard the new prediction. Now, I might take a midnite drive through the area. It's all lit up beautifully and hopefully traffic will be less. If you want the sunlit pictures go in day time.

Late evening used to be the time we would do drives through for the monuments when people came to visit us from out of town. People are still touring late, although gift shops and such are closed.

First thing in the morning (and I mean like, 6:30, 7:00 AM) is also a great time. Gorgeous when the sun is coming up, and the tourists aren't typically out yet. Just make sure you dress for it (particularly for wind chill) if you're going to do that... it doesn't quite feel like spring here yet.

Because I am a slacker, I haven't booked our rental car for this weekend yet. I'm looking at rates now... Didn't want to pick it up right when we arrive and pay the $29 parking charge for the night, and Budget is right across the street. Really our only plan is to drive from LAX to the Queen Mary, and from there to SNA. Budget is $105 for what we'd need, plus $22 for parking overnight at the Queen Mary. Currently Uber is giving me an estimate of $60-$70 total for those two trips... And the area around the Queen Mary that we're sticking to has a free shuttle. Am I missing anything here? Shall we just uber? :)

for those of you who have been to Hawaii, Maui, I'm looking at the Westin and the Sheraton, they both seem nice...any advice from those who've been to either?

I think it’s fun how similar our families are. My boys are 8&10. Just had bdays.

Thank you! We had it on 2 cards! I know y’all probably get gift cards but I am always at HD/Lowe’s because I love doing house projects...shiplap, etc. I’m about to do a whitewashed plank ceiling in the living room after our palms spring trip.

I’ll use the Lowe’s on merchandise as well. We always have a project going. I love doing home ‘fixer Upper’ stuff!

Our families are so similar! Do your boys try to kill each other on a day to day basis too? I had coffee with a new mom friend yesterday and she confirmed hers do. Made me feel so much better!

(I feel like I'm chiming in on all of the city talk, but we've been talking a lot about SF, LA, and DC, and I've lived in all three places!) REALLY depends on the time of day you're going to be traveling. The traffic can be brutal, which means the Uber costs can get high. I'd definitely Uber from LAX to the Queen Mary. But if you're going to be heading to SNA during any kind of peak hours (and remember, LA is extended peak hours because traffic is so awful), you might consider renting a car from a local location (or even the Long Beach airport) near the Queen Mary and returning it to SNA.

If uber is cheaper and someone else has to deal with the traffic I would uber. I often got lucky with the traffic, it was bad going the other direction. But they also have lots of freeways which can get confusing or help. If you do decide to drive use the waze app for directions.

I have a big purchase I have to make today for work. Any cards that would give me an instant number? Online people mention Amex. Just wondering if people get one for the SPG

I looked two days ago for DPs on this. Could not find anything consistent. It seems like, from what I read, instant numbers used to be offered more a couple of years ago than now. And Amex seems to randomly offer to people vs a certain card always offering. I applied for a card, was approved and called to ask for my number but they wouldn’t (couldn’t?) give me one.

Ummmm, yes. They couldn’t be more different. They always hang together but fight constantly. I’m like...hello...go to your own rooms so you don’t annoy each other.

Surge pricing would be my only worry. We'll be going to the Queen Mary first thing Saturday morning and I have a 9:30pm flight out of SNA on Sunday, so just need to be there for that. Maybe I'll make a back up car rental just in case of surging, since there's no cancellation penalty. Thanks!

That's how I feel! Let someone else do it.

I did not get one for SPG biz and that seems pretty consistent with everyone else here. The only one I recall recently I think was @calypso726 with the Hilton card.
