My biz cards didn't auto-add, so I have a separate log-on. Still have offers on the personal account. Never paid much attention to them. Sounds like there are sometimes good ones?
Lucky! Yes, I've seen some decent offers. Was specifically looking for the Autograph Collection 10% one when I discovered I'd lost them all. US Bank uses the same backend as Chase and some others, so whenever you see Chase offer check US Bank too. (I'm too scared to use their offers on gift cards though, back in the day USBank shut some early Alt Res users down for buying gc. They do not reconsider and I really don't want to lose this card.)

Wow. Sounds suspicious. How many employees have the password?
I’m the only person that has the password. It was a whole mess. Had the boss call and he was super frustrated because it took an hour on the phone, but we were able to get our UR back. Whoever it was had also changed our phone number on our account. Then they were trying to access our other Ink card for our other business, but we managed to catch them before they could. Chase said only the boss’s card was compromised so they canceled both his cards and will send him new ones.

I manage our Chase ink cards at work. We’re sitting on oodles of points (which have tax implications when we use which drives me batty). I have almost full access to the account but cannot use the points. Only the owner has access to the points. The employees have very basic access to chase to verify their activity (I can see everyone’s activity). I don’t know if there’s a setting where the owner could allow another user access to the points.
That’s basically how we are set up with all of the employees, except I am able to use the points. I typically just cash them out into our business checking account every time we get around $1k UR. We don’t have any tax implications at all though, maybe because we are a nonprofit? In our situation, the owner doesn’t even know the password to login to our account. I literally do everything there that has to do with the finances.

Question- does anyone here have apple tv? I'm wanting it again (after my free trial last year) and thinking maybe I can buy apple gift cards at a discount to pay for it? Will that work?
Yes, it works towards any subscription that is billed via Apple. I don’t have Apple TV but use my balance to pay for my kids’ Crunchyroll and Viz manga subscriptions.

Does anyone have experience with applying for a credit card with a "fraud alert" on your credit? My DH applied for a card with BoA, he has his credit frozen, but unlocked all 3 agencies before he applied. He's always gotten instant approvals (doesn't apply for many cards, and never biz cards). From what I've found online, the cc company is supposed to do extra verification to make sure you're really the person applying, maybe by calling you? We have existing accounts with BoA so they should be able to contact him. Should he try calling them?

Yes - I buy discounted Apple GC and add them to my apple account. The Apple TV+ just deducts from that balance each month.
Thanks- I don't have the device, just the app thru my roku- and not sure of what's new but they seem to have some of the most interesting content so I wanted something extra for winter watching....

Has anyone used the Hilton Gift cards successfully in the Disney area?

I've used a couple at the Hilton Suites in Ocean City, Maryland this past summer. I haven't tried anywhere else.

Switching to an Aspire in the new year and should still have several cards unused. So, I am considering adding a couple of nights to my end of February, early March trip, and would possibly choose a full service Hilton to use the cards for some incidentals.

Question for those of you who have a legitimate business...

I have a (very small... debating whether I want to attempt expanding) side hustle. I could leave it as something fun, or I could really try to go all in and actually make money doing it. (It would NOT be a lot of money... maybe $2000 income a year if it takes off). It's making pinback buttons on demand at band competitions, so not a huge market!

Because it's so tiny, do you think it's worth setting up an LLC and a business name and such? I would want a basic website (which I think my husband will do for me) and business cards and I'd have to buy some more equipment (a pop up tent, some tables, things of that nature), but I don't really know what the pros and cons are, and it really might not be a moneymaker at all. It may continue to only be something I do for fun in my spare time.

How do I decide?

I’d go with no because it costs a few hundred to set up a LLC with the state. Costs depend on the state. And then any other taxes (at the time for my state there was a $250 business entity tax every other year). I did have an LLC for a while, but it was making $30-40k in profit. So yeah I needed a LLC. But for $2k…nah.

You also have to keep receipts and such as backup for a Schedule C. And tax time will be more expensive because you have to upgrade to the more expensive tax software tiers that have the schedule C. Make sure you think of all these extra expenses when deciding on whether to go forward.

I wouldn't. For that amount I would go as a sole prop and add it on to your personal taxes. I don't see much of a liability that an LLC is setup to mitigate. FWIW, I make about $7k annually officiating. And I pay about $60 extra each year for the self employed tax software that walks me through everything.

Incidentally, what's good on Apple TV? Have a 3 month trial. Have seen Ted Lasso previously.
I liked the first season of The Morning Show. I thought the second season wasn't as good. I gave up after that, I don't know how many seasons it's up to now.

The Broadway musical "Come From Away" was on there. If it still is, that's a fantastic show.

We are currently watching Shrinking and are enjoying it. Just finished three seasons of Slow Horses. Also watched Presumed Innocent, Mythic Quest and Severance. Watched a few episodes of Morning Show but couldn’t get into it.

This!!! Everyone should see this, if they haven't, especially if they don't know the story. I have seen it live twice and many times on Apple previously. Its my husbands absolute favorite musical.
