Just booked the JW Marriott Marco Island this morning for this spring. $200 Amex plat hotel credit already used for 2025! :cool1:

On a related note, starting out the year with 0 MR’s, also very low on UR. Going to start out with a 25k MR retention offer on the same plat (3k spend). And maxing out the 5x grocery on 2 Freedom cards. Also going for the $15k surpass FNC early this year.

I've been thinking about getting this card for a while I love Hyatt but I love me a deal also waiting for a good sub, I use Google task to remind me of subscriptions and credits that may go unused.
Good advice. Thanks!

I've made no secret of how much I stan this card  to the extent we got a 3rd and 4th with zero bonus and didn't care. Hyatt is still the priority for us too.

I happily Disneymath the AF on the Aspires as part of the vacation budget, which we do with all the AF cards. There are Hilton resorts local to us where we could use the FN certs on a staycation, like the Conrad or Bakers Cay and the resort credits for a nice on site restaurant. We wind up using them for weekend trips, sometimes in WDW and can save DVC points or Hyatt points which works for us. The airline credit was easy to use with UTB even though they made it quarterly.

If I could do it over again, I'd time things so that I got my first card and my second card at the same time of year and then DH gets his first and second card at the same time of year about 6 months after mine. We make it work anyhow.

Happy New Year 🥳

New Year, New Thread!

I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

A lot of changes to credit card churning and earning points and miles happened the last couple years, time for a fresh start I think. Feel free to start off the new year in the new 2025 version.

"Out with the old, in with the new, cheers to the future, and all that we do!"

Do you have multiple Hyatt cards? And if so, can you please explain to me why this would be an interesting option? I know you had multiple Aspires and I get that. We made out really well this Fall with our 2 Aspires so those are definitely keepers.

No I do not. I have the Hyatt business card and intend to churn the consumer one this year. The only upside I could see of having multiple ones would be the extra free night certificates. But a cat 1-4 FN cert alone is not incentive enough for me to have more than one Hyatt consumer card. The FN cert is definitely worth more than the AF and I could see this being worth it for someone else but not for me at this time.

The Aspire FN certs aren’t capped. That combined with the $200 airline credit and $400 resort credits the AF is way more than covered if the credits and FN cert are all utilized.

I applied today for DH SWA biz and got the 7-10 day message. I’m assuming that’s not a good sign. I don’t think I could convince him to call them to see. I wonder if he is close to his max chase CL limit. He did just get the SWA personal card in Nov with a $20k CL. Does that matter for the biz cards? He has no biz cards at all, but what doesn’t make sense to me is that he has the green star already approved for both the Ink cards. Make it make sense so I can try and convince him to call them. If he can’t get this card, it really messes up with my CP plans for 2025-2026.
