Anyone had an issue adding a personal Chase checking account to a Biz account to pay the cards? Get an error they cannot verify I own the account and that I have to use the other account's Bill Pay feature instead. Suppose would it be simpler to have them merge the two accounts? Anything bad with that now-a-days? Always used an external account that I now need to close so trying to get things switched over...
I know a few years back Chase did something and it prevented adding a Chase personal checking account to a Chase business credit card as a payment method. If it was setup before that change it continued to function but new links were blocked. No problems with other bank's personal accounts or a Chase biz checking.
 
You can call in for them to add your bank account but I found a work around for those call averse like me. If you call the automated line there is an option to pay by phone. You put in your account info then your bank info and payment amount. I usually do a small amount like $5 or $10. You will see it post, then once it does voila, your bank account is linked and you'll be able to pay online.

Thanks. I will try the phone method. Is the automated line different than the number on the back of the card?

I know there were some issues before with asking them to merge accounts, but now with a single phone app and such are there any negatives for asking them to merge them now?

Yes, I always have to call to make the first payment (automatic phone line). But after that the account is linked. I really should combine my personal and Biz accounts, DH’s are combined.
 

Requesting SW assistance. I'm working on trying to earn a CP but want to go ahead and book flights for April because the prices are reasonable. I have the SW Performance Biz.

1) If I purchase tickets now, can I make one of them my CP ticket at a later date? Will the points or money be refunded?
2) Should I book on points or cash or does it matter? I'm all for saving money so using points makes sense to me unless I'd earn more points by paying cash using my card.
3) I've only ever booked on "Wanna get away" pricing but now wondering if I need to book on either anytime or select to be able to change flights?
4) I assume I don't have to wait to use the points I'm earning toward the CP until after I reach the 125K, correct?

Help! I feel so lost on this one. I'm also a little frustrated with the lack of nonstop choices to MCO now by SW, so this will only be a one way flight. I'm planning to pay cash for the other flight on Delta.

A few months back I'd done the biz plat 150k offer +4x for referring P2 to the Lowe's card, recapped here:

As I'm working towards my MSR, I see that I'm not earning 4x, nor did I receive the referral bonus. Chatting with Amex, they see no record of the referral and had to submit it to the backend team, which can take 6-8 weeks for a resolution. I have screenshots of everything, the whole sequence of referring, applying and approval. Between the spend and the bonus, that's worth 75k MRs, so it's not small potatoes.

In looking at my screenshot, there is language that says "This offer can only be redeemed once." I think there was a similar offer on a different card which I did make a referral on. I took "This offer can only be redeemed once" to be the specific offer showing on that card, not across all cards. For example, the 55k referral max is per card, not across all cards. You would think I would at a minimum get the 15k, but even that didn't come through.

Anybody have any thoughts? Think I'm screwed on this one?

ETA: According to this article, Amex has confirmed it is once per card, not cardmember, so I guess I will wait for the backend team to review it. I should be good.

I know I was really careful about selecting the right card, but my screenshots don't show which card, perhaps I made a mistake. Ugh, has this happened to anyone? Perhaps I am just out of luck here. The 15k referral did post to that other card. Now I feel like there are eyes on the account I would prefer there not be. Any thoughts?

Is there a reason you might have gotten a support on the other card (maybe you put it in Dischurners)?

Does the date of the email match the date of the Lowe's app and the 15k post date a few days later? If so, it does sound like the support came from the other card. 😞

The dates do match exactly, so that's disappointing. As I am reviewing my screenshots- YAY- I see that the very top of the screenshot shows that I did in fact refer from the correct card. So it is actually a back end issue and I do have proof. I'm relieved and hope they'll resolve this without issue. So weird that it would credit to another account.
 
It appears that my family can’t stay away from Disney for an entire year. I agreed to go in November for the Christmas decorations/party. But that’s no enough for DH he wants to visit over Thanksgiving break. We can’t swing a deluxe resort and of course we just decided and Shades of Green is sold out. Another option would be Swan/Dolphin but we only have 8,000 Marriott points, DH and I are both eligible for Chase Marriott SUBs.
I already made the reservation on points at the Swan. Anything I should know, should I change it to the Dolphin?

Yes, you can go ahead and book now. If/when you get your CP, just cancel that person’s flight (I’d book your eventual companion’s flight separately, because it will be easier to cancel just that one person’s flight, than if you are all booked together.). Definitely book with points. If you cancel, those just go right back into your RR account, and the $5.60 taxes/fees will get refunded to you credit card. If you pay cash, you can still cancel, but you’ll get a travel voucher than has limitations on use and can be a hassle to deal with. Points are way easier. And honestly, there’s no reason to book a ticket for your eventual companion unless you’re worried that (a) you won’t earn your CP in time, or (b) the flight will 100% sell out before you get your CP. Oh, and fare class doesn’t matter a bit for any of this, so book the cheapest fare available! Hope that helps!

THANK YOU! Feeling better. I did just realize though that I'll have to wait until my SUB points post though since I don't have enough points for the flights at the moment. Hopefully I won't be pushing my luck too much there but I may be if they won't post until my next statement close for March.

Hmmm...I'm about to apply for the 2nd BIZ card to get the next set of points to complete the CP. Perhaps I'll make these flights my first purchase on that card and meet that SUB too!

Wow, that's crazy that it would do that! So awesome that you have screen shots! Hope you can get it resolved quickly.

Just a crazy thought - do your biz plats in the same logon generate the same support link?? I keep mine in different accounts since the benefit enrollments are glitchy when they're in the same account (could call or chat to get it done, but I prefer to do it myself).
 
What is everyone’s opinion on Fidelity Rewards Visa Signature Card? Unlimited 2% cash back and no annual fee. I have a $150 bonus offer ($1500 spend).

My goal is to use this as our everyday card that we pay off weekly. With the cash back to go into a savings account I am setting up for my next car down payment.

I just received my away luggage pieces and I’m very excited to use them! I’m a first time purchaser. Can someone tell me if you received dust covers for your luggage? Mine did not come with them but DD said they should have.
We own 8 pieces of luggage and they all came with the dust covers. I had ordered the totes and they came with covers also. Although I am bad about putting them back on since they are quite the squeeze.

I wonder if it has anything to do with it being a co-brand Lowes vs an Amex biz? I got P2 a BBP and I seem to be getting the points I should be getting. At least last time I checked it appeared that way.
