Another outlier - no to coffee. Have never liked the taste. Now teas, that is my weakness. Current favorite hot is Tazo Breakfast tea. Luzianne iced tea is what I drink all day long. No fancy machines, just an electric kettle to heat the water.
I love my electric kettle...it gets constant use for coffee and tea in our house:lovestruc For coffee I like a simple old school pourover on a mug, or french press. Simple,no waste, use good coffee, get a great cup.(I have a local favorite shop where I buy the freshly roasted beans) Or tea, which I'm drinking now (b/c long story but I don't think coffee agrees with me sadly) anyway electric kettle, it literally changed my life!

When you go into your online account and click on the pay yourself back feature...it will show you the purchases that are eligible...if I’m remembering correctly I think for the last 90 days
Ok, can you help me out? How do I locate that feature, and find the 1.5%? I went into the portal, and clicked on the cashback option, it shows me 1% back (into a bank account?) is this something different? I've never used this before.....

I've used electric kettles all my life. My extended family were predominately tea drinkers and we always had an electric kettle. I also have a stovetop kettle in my cupboard, but it's seen little use. I started drinking coffee more when I spent a couple of summers during school working as a waitress and the coffee was free. My Mom did occasionally make coffee - in a stovetop Pyrex coffee percolator, not in the morning but mid afternoon sort of as a treat I guess. The coffee habit kicked in and has remained, but I only do one large cup in the morning - with a rare second cup mid morning or if someone comes to my home and I join them in drinking a cup.

Yes this is something different....
on my idpad when logged into my chase account...on the right side...I click on ultimate reward points...
then click on my CSR...
on the top click earn/use points...different options should show up..including pay yourself back ...hit that and it should show eligible purchases
I haven’t tried to see it on the app so unsure how it shows up

I found it! Thank you...so it gives me a list of eligible pruchase for the 1.5% back...so everything else,if I cashed out would only be 1% right?

wait..... I thought the grocery PYB 1.5% only went thru June 30? I see a purchase on 7/8 that qualifies....

That's a good thing, right? Plus you are probably going to keep buying groceries, so as long as it lasts, yay! Now is when I wish I had a CSR, but I don't want to upgrade my only eligible card, my Chase Freedom right now. I'm thinking of going for the CSP for the 60K points and then when ready upgrade to CSR for awhile if it pays me. Otherwise change it into another Freedom product after a year.

I use the Chase Travel Portal a lot to book hotels for our weekend sports tournaments. I am constantly booking hotels in advance and then cancelling or changing them after we get our actual schedules. In the past, when Chase sends me the email confirmation, it says the number of points redeemed. Now the emails say 0 points redeemed and, instead show the cash value as the amount paid. At first, I thought I messed up and accidentally booked a cash trip. But that wasn't it. I went into the website and looked at "my trips" and they have removed the points from that area also. Why would they do that? Has anyone else noticed this? It makes it harder to track all of my points activity, especially because the website is so wonky, Right now, when I look under "rewards activity," it says I have none. Clearly, that is wrong, lol.

Yes that’s right....the 1.5 on certain categories is until 9/30 so if you use your card for restaurants, groceries or home improvement stores you can cash those out at 1.5

For those who book hotels on the Chase portal, have you ever had the situation where you have a reservation for a certain number of nights, and you want to just cancel just one of them? If so, is there a way to do this on the website? I have only done it by calling in or booking a whole new reservation. I was thinking there may be an easier way?

I haven’t been able to find a way to modify on the site, I have cancelled and rebooked

@Disneyonmymind

Thanks for mentioning this. I booked a reservation on 6/28 which shows the points, but the one I booked on 7/2 doesn't. The site is so wonky right now, but I was able to go into to cancel a reservation and it does show the points. Hopefully this is just a temporary glitch!

@GlamMistress I think you were waiting on Aerosmith to cancel their Boston show - I just received an email that it is postponed until Sept 14 2021. There is a link in the email to request a refund, but you have to do so before August 8th.

Will have to consult DW on what to do - she is the Aerosmith fan.

So you will all appreciate this.

Since it's looking more likely each day that we will be cancelling Japan, my husband is convinced we should do WDW instead. He is currently watching an AP Preview/Vlog thing with a live walkthrough and he has decided he wants to go.

He also has decided he wants to stay at the Polynesian.

What say the experts? WDW in mid to late November... yay or nay? Right now I can get a RT flight on United for $75... :scared1:
