I just got my suitcase out!!

I have had our suitcases out now for about a month. We don't leave until Dec. 2, but it has become the vacation box. As I buy things or we stop using things that we need to take I'm throwing them in the suitcase. The big packing party will be the Sunday before...the I get to ORGANIZE the stuff!!

Yep, we've started, too. We don't leave until Thursday morning, but Mon-Tues-Wed are going to be really busy. Can't wait!

All 4 of my children and my bags have been packed forlike a week and a half and 50% of DH are packed. I swear that we will be leaving for the airport at 6 am on Thursday and he will be yelling "Just one more minute I've gotta find........(Fill in the BLANK)" We are SOOOO excited!!!! I seriously think that I am more excited than my KIDS!!!!!!

I'm packin' my new mickey suitcases leaving Dec 2nd! I have to buy DH a whole new wardrobe because his shirts all have some kind of stain on them and his shorts are tattered. I'm so excited I am starting to get nervous!

Starting filling my suitcase last week for a trip at the end of the month. The earlier I start, the less I'm apt to forget, cause when I think of something I just throw it in.

we are going Dec 3-11th and can't wait (POR). we just did some gift exchanges this weekend of stuff for the trip. my mom got me the cutest tink hat!

we have tolietries and stuff like that pulled together, but i haven't packed clothes yet. it is still in the upper 70s/80s here in Dallas, so I am still wearing all my clothes! probably start throwing some stuff together this weekend since i am so excited! I've put together a newsletter each month since July for our family (8 of us going) and they have loved it, it included our packing list too!

Well yes and no. When I packed away summer clothes for the season I did so into suitcases. So now I actually have to take out the ones that aren't going with us. I am in the making a list and checking it twice right now stage.

This last weekend I finished my last bit of trip shopping. I have everything set out to pack. Next weekend I will be packing and checking last minute itenerary. Then just have to confirm everything. We leave at 5:30 am on Friday and my DD has a basketball game the night before. It will be crazy. I am way more excited then my DD. LOL

Kerry34 - Have you used the Space Saver bags before? Do your clothes get all wrinkly? That might be an idea for us if this turns out to be one of those colder Decembers. I'd hate to have everything a wrinkled mass when I arrive tho.[/QUOTE

We used them this past April and didnt have any problems with them getting wrinkled too bad. I just made sure that I folded them neatly. I loved them and it keeps everything very organized. I took a posters advice and packed all my kids things in the 2.5 gallon size Ziploc bags. One outfit for each day and it was a godsend. Nothing got messed up or thrown out of the drawers and there was no issues over what the little ones were going to wear for the day. I just handed them a bag and they got dressed. Much easier IMO.

Thanks Kerry - Maybe I'll try the space saver bags for the bulkier stuff. I do use packing cubes to organize our suitcases (DS is 17, no need to pick out his outfits anymore, lol)

One more question tho - How do you vacuum out the air in the Space saver bags for the trip home?

Got mine out last week. Have had the toiletries bought and in one suitcase for 4 months. For some reason I always buy new underwear and socks for all three of us for our trip. Weird I know but oh well!!! Anyway I have had those packed for two months! My Magic Express tags came yesterday so it feels like it is almost here!
