I just got my suitcase out!!

I just pulled my suitcase out of the closet!

And now it's all getting surreal. I've been planning this trip for 2 years, and it just hit me that it's actually going to happen!!

Anyone else starting to pack?

Yep, we've started, too. We don't leave until Thursday morning, but Mon-Tues-Wed are going to be really busy. Can't wait!

You want to know what's really scary at my house? My DH made a list of tolietries he needs for the trip today.

I will begin the prelim packing stage on Tuesday. 19 days away today.

Gabby has been packed completely for about a month now. I have all the stuff that we need like bath stuff, film, and such in the "vacation box". My sweatshirts and sweat jackets are packed already, but no, I have not completely packed. Gabby has more clothes than I do, so it's much easier for her to pack up stuff for a 10 day vacation about 2 months in advance than it is for me.

I can't wait! Next weekend is all about getting the itinerary completed, printed, laminated and bound! I have most of it put together already, but I am still adding graphics. It's going to be cute! We have made goodie bags for all of the relatives joining us on 12/11 at MVMCP. They all get a Disney character mug, a special bell necklace that I hope they wear for the photos, some candy, some goldfish crackers, some bath soap fizzies to use to soak in after the cool winter night in the park, holiday Mickey antenna toppers, Disney magnets, and more. Each bag was decorated for each specifically for each family member. Also, I have been going through the pins and have sorted through the pins that must be traded out first.

Planning, sorting, packing, Christmas present wrapping, house decorating, entertaining the other set of inlaws at Thanksgiving.....man, I am tired already. lol But, vacation will be so awesome! Maggie

I have just started coordinating some clothes for our upcoming trip. We still have a ways to go yet but I like to be organized and it takes me a while. I have to pick up some more travel size space saver bags this week since I am packing heavier clothes than last time. I am already getting nervous thinking that I am forgetting something very important to put on the packing list. I will be driving everyone nuts in the next month or so!!

I havn't started packing yet, but I do have my summer clothes sitting in the laundry room all washed and folded ready to go in my suitcase. It has already gotten quite chilly here, so I don't need them out anymore. I also have made my lists for packing and toiletries we need to get.

Tommarrow I am calling to confirm all resort ressies, ADR's and tour ressies. I can't beleive I am excited to call and be on hold to confirm ressies.

Packing for Dec. Trip ...

We are going 12/5-11. I haven't gotten the suitcases out, but I have designated a laundry basket for WDW bound clothing and have starting gathering/sorting that. Have also started gathering the "things" we will need ... clothes pins, plastic bags, etc.

Plan to finish making the "lists" this week and will go shopping for all the other "things" we'll need within a week.

I will pack over thanksgiving when the rest of the family troops off for a weekend with the in-laws. That way I will have no interference and everything should go smoothly.

Does anyone have a good source for a good list to reference for packing?

I've been slowly packing for a month now, for our December trip. We also have been planning for two years, so I am definitely getting a little hyper.

Not packing yet - I'll wait til the last week before I pull out my suitcase & do my clothes. The weather is so iffy in Dec, it's hard to plan that part this far out for me.

I do have a packing cube with odds & ends for traveling in it that has been out all year this year since we've had trips every 3-4 months. That I keep restocking as we go along (nightlights, toiletries, splitter plugs,coffee filters, bags, etc.)


Kerry34 - Have you used the Space Saver bags before? Do your clothes get all wrinkly? That might be an idea for us if this turns out to be one of those colder Decembers. I'd hate to have everything a wrinkled mass when I arrive tho.

I already had a rubbermaid container in my room for all news things. But I think its time to get organized. 19 days to go... WAHOO...My 5 yr old has had a calender in his room and clicking off the days. I also need to get together my box for shipping ahead.
Nov/Dec.. lets see warm or cold...warm or cold....

Yep, we have started packing!! I have the kids suitcases packed with their summer stuff- just waiting to pack jeans and long sleeved shirts since they are using them now. Also have the food suitcase packed and toiletries packed. I just cant wait to leave!! 17 days out now!!

I started getting our clothes togehter last weekend and packed a few things. This weekend I washed a bunch of clothes this weekend, have to irone them and want them packed by the weekend. We leave 11/25 and I can't wait to get back to where I am so happy. Have a great trip.

We started packing two weeks ago. Mostly our flight bags since we were still wearing most of our clothes. Last week we packed our summer stuff and now toiletries are packed as well as a change of clothes in our flight bag, etc. We packed a little more last night and packed away a few pairs of jeans that we can live without this week. (My DSis goes to private school so she'll be wearing a uniform all week. She managed to get more things packed than me, since I wear jeans to work. I'm a Teacher Assistant to toddlers so no nice clothes for me! )

This week we'll be putting more and more things in our suitcases. We leave early Friday morning!

Yep. I've got one bag almost completely packed with Tinkerbell gifts for the boys. Boys suitcases have their new Disney shirts in them. Working on some of the other stuff. Still have some things to make. Better get busy. Looks like we are all getting sick, which is good. At least we'll get it over with before we leave.

That sounds heavenly!!! We are leaving on the 28th and I think Thanksgiving weekend is going to be craaaaaaaazy! Dinner at the in-laws, day of shopping, then we agreed we want to get all our outdoor lights/decorations up for Christmas as we don't return until the 11th!!! I'm hopeful the children can go outside and "help" dh so they aren't "helping" me w/ the packing! kwim! I am so excited to be seeing the Mouse for the first time at this holiday.

I finished the countdown calendars for my kids yesterday and they wanted to get started this morning...but it's only for 20 days out and that starts tomorrow!

Yippeeeeee we're going to Disney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
